Dark Matters is proud to announce it's fourth release, Chromatic Dreams, courtesy of label boss Amirali. With his avant-garde concoction of electronica, techno and house, the EP is constructed of two original tracks and one remix; courtesy of Midnight Operator, the duo made up of Mathew Jonson and his brother, Nathan. This is Amirali's first sonic exercise on the label since the debut release, Fearful Stay. The first track on the compilation "Chromatic Dreams" is skilfully executed, keeping the dark and psychedelic vibe that Dark Matters is becoming known for. It has dreamy vocals that echo with 80's synth and a drum pattern that is reminiscent of techno. The breakdown creates a whirlpool of different associations, the depth of the bass and stutter of the overlaying synths is a mesmerising mixture. “Maladaptive Lover" is built on synth melodies that give the track a spacey vibe. David Bowie played a big part in Amirali's creative inspiration, this track is an eccentric ode to the space man, a modern and dark underground pop interpretation of Bowie's influences, the eccentric, the dreamy and the avant-garde. Midnight Operator's remix of "Maladaptive Lover" reinvents the track, the most dance-floor ready cut of the EP. The dreamy energy, although maintained in the synth patterns is now much more intense. The melody drives forward and doesn't linger in self contemplation as Amirali's original tracks do. The vocals soar through the machine bleeps and faltering high end, tumbling into a crescendo. More

Taken from his highly acclaimed, recently released debut album on Crosstown, ?In Time?, ?Just An Illusion? is one of the more infectious tracks off the album with its dance-worthy melodic drive and Amirali?s texturally deep and emotive undertones. This 12? features two great interpretations of the original. Having just released Amirali’s slick, diverse and immaculately produced debut album ‘In Time’, Crosstown Rebels presents the single ‘Just An Illusion’ First part of a two-part 12” single release this 12” features an extended original version and a superb remix by Real Tone boss and French maestro Franck Roger. French producer Franck Roger enlightens the eeriness and delivers a more rolling drum-heavy remix with bouncing bassline and alternative melody with soaring pads and high-pitched chimes. A real summer infused enchanting remix of the original, which is already proving a bit of a hit on discerning dance-floors. After a superb 2011 for Crosstown Rebels, they are now proud to present their next album, Amirali 'In Time'. Tipped as a one to watch for 2012 (Mixmag), Iranian/Canadian producer Amirali's debut album is truly exceptional, a subtle combination of house, techno, funk, electronica and downbeat with indie sensibilities. Magnetic husband-and-wife duo Henri Bergmann and Wennink blend Bergmann’s taste for melodic realms with Wennink’s etherealv vocals and experimental left-leaning sound. Mexican supergroup Secret Echoes releases debut single ‘Bring My Beat Back’ on Crosstown Rebels. The project combining a trio of revered talents from the Mexican electronic landscape sees Estefani Brolo, Diego Cevallos, and Marco Anaya unite to reveal a first glimpse into their forthcoming debut album, with the single remixed by Zombies In Miami focus on the song's hypnotic vocals and raw emotive energy.

Secret Echoes is a dynamic collaboration of three acclaimed artists from Mexico’s electronic music scene: Estefani Brolo (of BROLORZIO & I.M YONI), Diego Cevallos (AKA Métrika), and Marco Balcazar (AKA Balcazar of Balcazar & Sordo). With each member bringing a distinct musical background to the group, creating a unique fusion of sound set to resonate with electronic music enthusiasts worldwide, Secret Echoes creates music that blends house foundations with melodic innovation.

The origins of the project trace back to the height of the pandemic, when Cevallos and Balcazar began collaborating on an album they had always envisioned. Renting a unique studio in Jiutepec, Mexico, equipped with analogue tape machines and high-end studio gear, and inviting their talented friends to contribute, Brolo soon joined the project - adding her melodic and lyrical expertise. The result was the recording of 11 tracks that were put on hold until the time was right. After revisiting the tracks and performing them live, ‘Bring My Beat Back’ caught the attention of Crosstown Rebels founder Damian Lazarus during 2024’s Day Zero performance. Inspired by its energy and potential, Lazarus signed the entire album, and this first single provides a first glimpse of what is to come from the enigmatic trio on an imprint known for continually pushing boundaries within house music.

Norwegian talent Meera makes her Crosstown Rebelsdebut with the atmospheric ‘Stikk’. An electronic mastermind renowned for releasing countless seminal tracks and albums, both solo and as a member of Cobblestone Jazz, he returns to a label that has been a constant throughout his career. With his ‘Tako Tako’ EP, he offers two more superb journeys on Crosstown Rebels. The fantastic ‘Tako Tako’ kicks off with Jonson’s signature mix of elegant and refined synth craft, with dancing melodies bringing futuristic energy and neon colour to crunchy beats. Since its debut in 2017, Damian Lazarus’ annual ‘SPIRITS’ series on Crosstown Rebels has been a beacon for breakthrough artists, setting the label’s agenda for the year ahead. The sixth instalment in February is another meticulously curated lineup with ‘SPIRITS VI’ featuring a blend of new and recognisable talents, including Lauren Lane, Cristina Lazic, Iñigo Vontier, AJ Christou and many more. London-based talent Cameron Jack kicks off what looks set to be a breakout year with ‘The Vision’, a bubbly and tropical cut with cosmic synths and loose, jumbled rhythms. Oceanvs Orientalis reveals the second single from his forthcoming album on Crosstown Rebels with ‘Heart Pieces’ feat. Idil Mese, accompanied by remixes from Mustafa Ismaeel and Nightmares On Wax. A producer, live performer and solo act whose productions merge influences spanning Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian and Arabic sonics and beyond, Safak Oz Kutle, aka Oceanvs Orientalis, has crafted a sound that is entirely his own ever since making his debut back in 2014. Following on from his impressive debut appearance on the imprint with ‘Il Lupo’ alongside Italian talent Tooker, revealing the first single from his forthcoming album, the Istanbul-based talent is back on Crosstown Rebels with another gem taken from the project as he reunites with singer-songwriter Idil Mese for the excellent ‘Heart Pieces’ - with remixes from Crosstown and Rebellion regular Mustafa Ismaael, and legendary house talent and Warp favourite Nightmares On Wax.
