Tracklist CD:
1. Two Thousand Miles / 2. Six Years / 3. Big Blue / 4. Opposite Way / 5. Stubborn Man / 6. It's Late / 7. Sail On Wild / 8. Put Your Hands On The Right Man / 9. Wrong Side / 10. Underground, Underground / 11. Not Only Fading Out. / 12. The Black Maps.
Off the map, H-Burns' fourth album, is an album labeled, engineered, mixed and mastered by Steve Albini. And it's pretty obvious: fourteen tight songs, full-on (faithful to the motto hammered by Albini: "feature it, or fuck it"), carved in eight days, by five people (drums, guitars, keyboards, bass), without ever leaving the studio.
After the critical success of "We go way back" and the recent collaboration with Chris Bailey of the legendary Australian band The Saints (Album Bailey / Burns), H-Burns continues on Off The Map to move towards a sound which is less and less harsh, but instead wider and wider.
H-Burns dropped the plaid shirts, now they truly have become a great classy rock band, a band that doesn't know any borders. Off the Map is a world-record where the concepts of maps and territories are the cement of the lyrics, in a total symbiosis with the sound: brass performed by the musicians from Wilco's latest albums, a drummer who hits a snare drum from the 1930's, keyboard parts played on vintage instruments that sound like they haven't been touched for years.
This new album of H-burns is also the first album released by the label Vietnam, tailor-made by their friends at So Foot, the magazine that has once been described by Voxpop as " a punk football magazine which talks about football because it's the rock'n'roll of the modern world ". Create a label. What for? " Because what really matters, it's the journey ". With or without a map.

01. Tigress / 02. Actress / 03. Crazy Ones / 04. Sister (feat. Kate Stables) / 05. Tourists / 06. Leaving /
07. Midlife / 08. Saturday / 09. Pretty Mess / 10. Black Dog / 11. Dreamchaser / 12. Friends
Short info:
Following ‘Night Moves’ and ‘Kids We Own The Summer’ and its harmonious keyboards, H-Burns goes back to the quintessence of his music style: an impeccable songwriting praised internationally and an interpretation undeniably precise. To narrate in one album the only two stories worth being narrated – the one about a man living his home, and the one about a man coming back to his home – H-Burns (aka Renaud Brustlein) first matured his project isolated in a home-studio owned by French underground collective La Souterraine before bringing it to the studio with a team of musicians and engineers that he meticulously picked as usual : Earl Harvin from Thidersticks on the drums, Kate Stables from This Is The Kit as a vocal guest, Noah Georgeson (The Strokes, Andy Shauf, etc.) for the mixing, etc.
Understandably title ‘Midlife’ this new album recorded on analog tapes tells the story of a man who looks back over the journey of his life, remembering his dreams of glory, the lost love stories, what he left behind from the others and from himself.

Short info:
The record cover shows a woman walking towards dusk - or is it dawn. Two years after the success of Night Moves, a wander through a threatening nocturnal Los Angeles, H Burns returns with a new record for twilight. Kid We Own the Summer finds its identity between a few landmarks such as David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti's California, the intimacy of Bruce Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town, the relative calmness of Suicide's second album, and the elegant melancholy of The National.
In order to compose, Renaud Brustlein aka H Burns decided to reinvent himself once again. He didn't repeat the live configuration that he used in 2013 with Off the Map, an "electric storm" recorded in Chicago, with a band, in a single week, with the legendary Steve Albini. For Kid We Own the Summer, the composer started working in his home studio, by gradual touches, because there's no place like home.
The result? A melancholy cinematic stroll across stories of misguided couples, unspoken words that end-up ruining people's lives, the pursuit of dangerous situations, like an elegy to the end of adolescence - leading to a place we're unsure of. Born from a keyboard, a piano and a beatbox, these ten songs were brought to light, as always with infinite delicacy, by impeccable guests-friends - strings by Bertrand Belin and vaporous keyboards by Denis Clavaizolle (Bashung, Murat, Daniel Darc) - mixed by Rob Schnapf (Elliot Smith, Beck…) and mastered by the great Greg Calbi (Springsteen, Dylan, Paul Simon).
Noisey said of Night Moves that it was the perfect record for "all the cold and sad months to come". Kid We Own the Summer will be the record for our sleepless nights.

1. Nowhere To Be / 2. Radar / 3. In The Wee Hours / 4. Silent Wars / 5. Night Moves / 6. Big Surprise 7. Wolves / 8. Radio Buzzing / 9. Signals / 10. Too Much Hope / 11. Holding Back
Short info:

Barcode:5060421560236
Territory: world excl. France, UPC: 5060421560236 Release: 2.2.2015 - 1 LP 12" in gatefold with printed inner-sleeve and CD included
Tracklist LP: A-SIDE // 1. Nowhere To Be / 2. Radar / 3. In The Wee Hours / 4. Silent Wars / 5. Night Moves B-SIDE // 1. Big Surprise / 2. Wolves / 3. Radio Buzzing / 4. Signals / 5. Too Much Hope / 6. Holding Back
Off the map, H-Burns' fourth album, is an album labeled, engineered, mixed and mastered by Steve Albini.

First ep from their fourth album Off the Map, H-Burns' Six Years contains 4 tracks labeled "engineered, mixed and mastered by Steve Albini". And that means: these four extracts suggest a tight album and strong album (as the slogan hammered by Albini "feature it, or fuck it"), engraved in eight days, with five members (drums, guitars, keyboards , bass), without ever leaving the studio. But that does not tell the whole qualities of the record. After the success of We go way back and his recent collaboration with Chris Bailey of the legendary Australian band The Saints (Album Bailey / Burns), H-Burns continues to make their music evolve in a way less harsh, more ample.
H-Burns dropped the plaid shirts. Now here's a great classy band who knows no borders. Off the Map evokes a world with maps and territories which are the cement of the lyrics in total symbiosis with the music: brass performed by the musicians who played on last Wilco's albums, a drummer who hits on a snare drum dating from the 30s, keyboard parts played on vintage instruments that sound as if they had not been practiced for years. Sometimes electric guitar sounds as storm like Crazy Horse used to do it. The voice is a bit broken but lucid, similar to Jason Molina, Will Oldham or Hamilton Leithauser from the Walkmen. A voice that sings as if it wanted something, as if she had lost the way. A voice that tells us we're always near to be off the map.
H-Burns new album is also the first release of the label Vietnam, created by So Foot, the monthly soccer magazine that Vox Pop described as a "punk magazine that speaks about soccer because it is the real world of contemporary pop". Why did they start a label? "Because what really matters is the trip". With or without a map.
- incl. download card
Tracklisting:
1. SIX YEARS
2. APPROACHING
3. MIDWEST
4. CHASE YOU DOWN THE OPEN ROAD
+ digital bonus track "STUBBORN MAN" (demo)

As a singer-songwriter artist, JE (Jon Edward) Sunde composes abundant records that are as much folk as white soul, influenced by Nina Simone and Leonard Cohen. A long-time friend of Bon Iver, JE Sunde shared the music scene with him at Eau Claire, their hometown, before leaving to Minneapolis. With his group Dardevil Christopher Right or solo, JE Sunde has played everything that the country has of small indie venues.

Since 2016, Rémy Poncet aka Chevalrex sits among the top new French songwriters to watch thanks to Futurism (Vietnam, 2016), an intimate sophomore album critically acclaimed by the press and on which he plays all the instruments. Wondering how one finds his/her place in today's world while staying true to him/herself, Chevalrex offers his answers in this third album and leaves behind his minimalist compositions to raise his ambitions and push his music into a whole other dimension.
Recorded this time with additional musicians and even a whole string orchestra, Anti Slogan compiles ten songs meticulously crafted in which the worlds of Jim O'Rourke, Vincent Delerme, Tindersticks and Boris Vian collides, showcasing a level of refinement hardly ever heard in the French pop scene.

Their first album Be Your Own King was successfully released the following year, selling more than 7000 copies in France alone and sending the group of friends on the road to play more than 150 live dates all over Europe. CD version and CD1 included in the vinyl features the same tracks in the same order.

Short info:
Since the release of the album "Catapulte" in 2013, media have been used to describing Chevalrex' music as "miniature symphonies". For this album, Rémy Poncet, the handyman that plays himself all the instruments, writes his own lyrics and even makes his own cover, has decided to keep the same path but meanwhile, has grown in melodic power and maturity. "I finally let my teen life behind, and from now on, offer me some peaks" he sings in "Aussi Loin".
With this new release, there is reason to wager that Chevalrex will be one of the future pearls that will be used as a reference for those who will venture out on the roads of French Pop.

For many years, O, aka Olivier Marguerit has been considered as the best sideman of the French indie pop. Permanent member of Syd Matters, he is the one with a complete background that always has been used to hightlighting and boosting the others. Until one day he decided to to care for his ownself…
After 2 albums confidentially released, known as O (Ohm part 1 & 2), his first LP will come out 12th January. Of course, it is about a brilliant and erudite form of pop.
