DJ Deep's new 'Raw Cuts' series builds on the success of the first volume with a second four track offering that once again shows off his versatility. DJ Deep is a master of house and techno that drives you forward but also boasts real character. The Deeply Rooted label boss has been perfecting his style for two decades now, as well as offering more eclectic sounds with his Worldwide FM Radio show and collaborative work with Roman Poncet. Here, though, he has his sights on the dance floor with four more timeless tracks. 'Head Up' kicks things off with a dubbed out track that locks you in a circling groove amongst soft shakers and deft sound designs. It's perfectly stripped back but absorbing house then 'Swinging With The P' ups the ante with a tense minimal house vibe that has edgy effects and a paranoid sense of mood. Always rooted to infectious drums, it's another masterclass from Deep. Things get more wild on 'Porte', a prickly acid track that layers up chattering claps, 303s and urgent drum work into something designed to pump the club at the peak time. Last but not least, 'Corridor Rodeo' is a loopy dub techno epic that manages to hit hard while also offering plenty of subtle details to keep you locked. Bridging the gap between house and techno with his usual style, DJ Deep's 'Raw Cuts' series is already proving essential. More

Label quote: 'I came across J.C's music through the Argentine label Greener Records on which he released the 'M-Theory EP' in early 2013. To this day, this 12" has not left our record bag! I really like how J.C naturally blends a House feeling and groove with a Techno vibe. In 2012, J.C started the AHD label together with his friend Damian Schwartz, releasing records from the likes of Fred P, DJ F, Marcos Cabral and Epiphany. We are very pleased to welcome Bleak on Deeply Rooted House for his second release on the label, a pure techno 4 track ep and one of the strongest Deeply Rooted so far! Dj Deep:'I have been very impressed with Bleak's talent and how he can combine different styles of techno and still produce very personal music. Each track, in my opinion, has a life of it's own, it starts in a certain way, and takes you to different places. The arrangements are very subtle, sometimes hypnotic, very intense and emotional, the way the drums evolve and drive the tracks, or how deep chords apear in the back ground taking the track to a differrent territory etc. I hope you'll like this 12'' as much as I do!'
