For the 40th release on underground-favourite Adult Only, Einzelkind steps up with the goods and delivers a wonky-tech package of infectiously good cuts. Bouncey and full of kick is Einzelkind’s orginial version of Trouble. A wobbling bassline marches under a low male vocal and progressing stages of techno effects, bleeps and warbles, guaranteed to have the dance floor swaying with ease. Sascha Dive’s interpretation takes a deeper twist, with eerie echoes creating a hypnotic ambience that will keep you hooked well in the darker stages of the afterhours. Over on B2, Major Brain Malfunction is a spacey trip through futuristic effects. An almost hip hop vocal will have you nodding along before breaking into a pop-parody that ends the EP on a typically Einzelkind playful note. Adult Only, the imprint from prolific Parisian producer Chris Carrier has been consistently putting out some of the highest quality house and techno since 2000. Releasing the likes of Dyed Soundorom, Phil Weeks, DJ W!LD, Kris Wadsworth and now Einzelkind, the beat-making duo and Robert Johnson residents from Frankfurt.

Tracklist: (A1) Einzelkind - Free Savioni (Amnesia Pearl Mix) (B1) Einzelkind - Aya Curanderito
Info:
Please welcome Frankfurts very own EINZELKIND as the latest addition to our artist pool. His first single 12" contribution for Cocoon Recordings seems to be endless and gets nicely spiced up with hypnotic vocal elements and discoide space sounds. "Free Savioni" already made the terrace floor on one of our Cocoon ibiza nights move big time. It actually had such a strong impact that we immediately had to sign it after Einzelkind played it!
"Aya Curanderito" on the flip side sounds like a late night party deep in the forest witch trolls dancing around a fire, this is deep shamanic business with a slight Villalobos touch (no wonder as the two joined forces before for some other releases already). Cool and trippy, something for the long nighs at the infamous Robert Johnson club or Berlin's Panoramabar. Welcome señor Einzelkind!

Arno Volker and Miguel Ayala, aka EINZELKIND, first came to prominence when they supplied the track 'Drop 74' to Get Physical's Full Body Workout Vol. 2 compilation in 2005. Since then, they've cemented their reputation as an extraordinarily talented production team, thanks to the Introduction and Pay 2 Play EPs on Physical's experimental offshoot Kindisch and, most recently, the 'Meat is Murder' 12" on Physical proper.Einzelkind started out making drum&bass music under the pseudonym Chopper, but it is as Einzelkind that they have really found their signature 4x4 sound; with 'La Fiebre del Loco', their second 12" for the Kindisch, this sound has matured into something truly innovative and spellbinding..B1 'La Fiebre Del Loco' is a more psychedelic affair. Sampled background voices and an almost tribal conga rhythm set the scene, drawing the listener in without offering any easy release. Einzelkind drop groovy, chopped-up piano chords and ease a super-deep bassline beneath. A trebly synth line is tweaked, first up, then down, to really work the floor, while the incessant, shuffling drum tattoo never lets up. This is trippy house music that manages to reference the past whilst being firmly rooted in the present, and looking to the future. B-1 'Maferefumeco' is a deep, minimal builder, with a formidable bass drum thump and warped but refined techno-funk bassline. Tight percussion and key stabs step up the drama before a crisp snare sound and dubbed-out percussion effects are worked into the mix. Subtle drum edits and sustained synth notes add to the intensity, while the taut, crystalline rhythm steers the track into gloriously tracky, club-rocking waters. B2 Paperboy is harder to place, and all the better for it. It begins with intoxicating bass and tabla interplay, laying the foundation for spidery arpeggios which rise in pitch until the tension is almost unbearable. As the track progresses, the listener is consumed by the elaborate, overlapping drum patterns - and as soon as it draws to a close, you want immediately to hear it again. Einzelkind's three forward-thinking, idiosyncratic techno-inflected house tracks prove them to be one of the most promising recent additions to the Kindisch/Physical family, and undoubtedly ones to watch.

Einzelkind, - Bonnieland
Upcoming producer Einzelkind (now together with his new production partner) follows his appearance on the ‘Full Body Workout Vol. 2’ compilation and his debut on the Get Physical sub-label, Kindisch, with ‘Pay 2 Play’. These new tracks venture to the deeper, often evocative ends of techno and house. The title track fuses an percussive old school house groove with deep techno chords. So when the
organ line kicks in, it gives you this very orginal emotion of timeless house. In keeping with Einzelkind’s unpredictable tendencies – he used to make drum’n’bass before he switched onto house and techno – you still can hear something of his former musical alter ego in the second track, ‘Bonnieland’.Based on a low-slung, growling bassline, the track gradually evolves to reveal a trippy sequence and lush chords, which sounds like the fusion of a Detroity atmossphere with the dynamic of a drum’n’bass-track. A strong release, that consolidates the unique fingerprint of the two Einzelkind-boys from Frankfurt. More

Upcoming producer Einzelkind, who has been involved in the Frankfurt record shop Freebase for years, provides the introduction to Get Physical's new label, Kindisch. The imprint's name translates as 'childish', but it's going to grow up quickly and rival its big brother label if this debut is anything to go on. Indeed, despite Einzelkind's young age, this EP, as well as his background making drum'n'bass, shows that he is more mature than his twenty-something producer peers.Following on from his 'Drop 74' contribution to 'Full Body Workout Volume 2', 'Grundstuck' and 'Freefall' are full of youthful energy. Einzelkind's irreverent approach means that he has no problem getting inspiration from and fusing jacking Chicago rhythms and acid lines with glitchy minimalism, and the dark, prowling basslines sounds that these tracks are based on sound like he's trying to express his own growing pains.Thankfully, the listener and DJ will benefit from his angstinfluenced statements: these tracks are powerful and somewhat sinister affairs that make most sense when experienced as a blinding strobe light cuts through the back drop of dry ice in a darkened club.Marsha' sets a completely different tone. It's still based on the same blend of Windy City funk and intricate electronic rhythms, but the way that the seductive, chiming chords and dreamy break down unfold over the steely drums suggest that Einzelkind has fallen in love. Certainly, it'll be hard not to be seduced by this layered, evocative track, especially if you hear it after a long night spent listening to intense techno. So there you have it: Get Physical has dragged a new label, Kindisch. Kicking and screaming into this world: let it be the place where you go to get all your teenage kicks!

Incoming! Adult Only 46 is here and it’s another biggie. Chris Carrier’s trusty label always delivers the funk and this release is no exception. Featuring Rhythm&Soul plus Russian newcomers Belogurov and Orbit and the bossman Carrier himself, it’s comprised four tracks, all with their own unique groove and atmosphere – perfect for anyone who loves deep rhythmic house music with hypnotic sensibilities. Rhythm&Soul takes one side of the record, the first of his tracks ‘Take Off’ comes in with sturdy beats pushes things along at a steady pace. His use of ‘live’ sounding percussion is evident throughout, working perfectly alongside a captivating double bass keeping things moving. If you manage to stay still while this is playing then there’s something wrong with you, utterly irresistible. The second track from the Madrid-based producer is another upbeat joint. The deep bassline bounces up and down while razor sharp hats slice and dice their way through the lower end. As with most of Rhythm&Soul’s work, there are lots of nuances and details peppering the track, keeping it interesting from start to finish. On the flip side we have the Russian boys Belogurov and Orbit, who deliver eight minutes of pleasure with ‘Jysk’. Smooth cosmic grooves rise up off this steaming hot, sensual cut. A naughty allure emanates from this track as it moves forward, subtle pads swirling in the background to suck you in and keep you locked to the groove. And to round things off, Chris Carrier delivers a typically eccentric roll out. Subtle beats are placed over an analogue low end together with a selection of strange sounds direct from Carrier’s well-equipped lab. Variations in the rhythm and texture keep this one interesting all the way until the end.And there it is, another hot one from the Adult Only camp… strictly for over 18s!

A mesh of wires pump electrified impulses through a selection of analogue machines, creating a symphony of beats, rhythms and basslines. Minimal frequencies combines with bright synth lines and sombre melodies… Chris Carrier’s studio is alive with fresh sounds conceived for his new album, which is produced under his Monsieur Georget alias. It’s the name that has been utilised for a series of scintillating live performances and, under this moniker, he now brings us a very personal long-player that reveals another side to one of the most prolific producers in Paris. Across eight tracks Monsieur Georget explores his playful side, employing his collection of vintage and contemporary gear to create something timeless and inspired. Fatherhood adds a personal touch to the album, as his daughter not only provides inspiration for the music but also contributes to the album via her own musical instruments, which Monsieur Georget uses in tandem with his own equipment. His penchant for cycling and a deep love for his own city also permeate into this extended body of work, resulting in a collection of tracks that offer a sincere insight into the man behind the music. It’s funky, rolling and utterly fresh with touches of jazz, soul and a clear nod to the traditions of house music, with a modern, French, touch. Spark up a fat one and meditate to the absorbing sub bass of ‘Conique Tribute’, the deep, grooving opener, which has echoes of the Caribbean reverberating through it. ‘Tom Tom’ follows up with a punchy, though minimal flow guaranteed to get your head nodding and hips swinging. ‘Droit Au But’ is aimed at the dance floor, underpinned by dynamic percussion and a large dose of funk – football and traditional French pastime Pétanque (boules) are the inspiration behind this killer track. The legendary Curtis Mayfield is the driving force behind the louche, reclining viber ‘L’ami Curtis’, which drifts along with a spritely warped string arrangement at its heart. ‘Nuit Sans Filet’ works around Monsieur Georget’s unique use of stripped down classic house shimmers and a bulbous b-line. ‘Jazzavue’ is a heads-down take on the genre with a rumbling bassline, hushed vocals and cleverly-programmed percussion. ‘L’homme De La Cave’ pokes fun at Carrier’s 20 years + in the studio, his cave, where he beats his drum and entrances the listener with his lush grooves. The track’s tribal rhythm illustrates this perfectly. Finally, ‘Dong’ closes out the LP with deliciously twisted analogue bells, delving into his fascination with the instrument. Rich, diverse and full of youthful tones, Monsieur Georget’s album is the work of a producer whose love for electronic music clearly runs as deep as you can imagine. Essential!

julian alexander - Point of view - Chris Carrier Remix
Chris Carrier’s brings us the latest installment from his ever-trusty Adult Only label, with a firecracker from Julian Alexander, a rudeboy from Holland, Utrecht to be precise. Julian’s close ties with Slapfunk Records, the label that released Carrier’s most recent artist album, make him the perfect candidate to captain this new release, which is full of murky grooves and simmering energy. Across three tracks Julian brings encapsulates that Adult Only flavour, kicking off with ‘Butress Roots’ a bass-heavy roller with an eerie overtone and a minimal make-up – watch out for the extended breakdown, it will send shivers down your spine. Up after that we have ‘XY’ a more up-tempo, bouncing, dance floor destroyer. Major vibes on this one. On the flip ‘Point Of View’ brings the energy down again, with a steady flow, and a slow-building pads together with an indecipherable female vocal clip that adds to the captivating atmosphere. Carrier steps in to remix ‘Point Of View, closing out the EP with a punchy demonstration of his production prowess. Raw.

dan ghenacia & chris carrier - "The 2nd Degree"
Two Paris legends reunite for the latest outing on the always fresh Adult Only label. Owner Chris Carrier links up with his old pal Dan Ghenacia for this three-track EP, which includes a remix from German talent, Diego Krause. Chris and Dan last got together for Adult Only back in 2007, with their ‘Tumble Blur’ EP and they recently hit the studio together again to roll out two super dope slices of heads-down dance floor funk. As you might expect from two highly experienced veterans, the tracks on offer are both crisp, epitomising that classic house flow with a sprinkling of contemporary flavour. The 2nd degree bounces, whirrs and chirps all over the place while the 4x4 beat keeps the energy levels high. Just a Sin is a more serious cut, with a solemn presence and stuttered beats together with a hushed vocals giving it a mysterious feel. Unison Wax bossman Diego Krause powers up Just a Sin With his remix, putting a firm emphasis on the bassline, which is strong, murky and unrelenting. A deep, dark slice of groovy house for the after-hours crew

Continuing to push that deep, raw house sound Chris Carrier’s Adult Only label presents a brand new EP from Slapfunk affiliate and all round funkateer, Larry De Kat. Larry keeps the grooves rolling in his native Holland, where he has close ties with the much respected Slapfunk Records, along with good friend Anil Aras. His back catalogue includes another French connection, with the young masters at Lazare Hoche Records. This time he links up with prolific producer Chris Carrier to give Adult Only a taste of his funky medicine. On side A we have ‘Diks On Gruds’, a gruff dance floor banger with a deadly bassline and ultra crisp hats, which inject a solid energy from start to finish. On the flip another French hero, Phil Weeks, add his stomping Chicago flavour into the mix reworking the track with panache. A2 is ‘Noodlez’, a quirky joint composed of odd sounds wriggling and whirring above a slinky bassline counterposed with choppy percussion. Finally, the EP closes out with ‘Um?’, a sombre affair which pumps and purrs with minimal composition – subtle effects in the arrangement bounce around the beats, while a mysterious voice creeps in and out of the background. Sublime…

DJ Wild, Kris b, - Lost On 14
Rising up to take his place as king of the underground, DJ W!LD, one of the key residents at Circo Loco, delivers a killer EP for Adult Only that's bursting with raw layers of funk and pure jacking beats and perfectly captures the infectious sound he is renowned for. Title track 'Lost on 14th' evolves from the raw bass beat through chugging percussive grooves and the clipped funk guitar riff. Enter the provocative rhetoric of Kris B, with old school house organ, and the ghetto, freaky vibe is complete. Jamie Jones brings his hot future funk to the b-side remix of 'Lost on 14th' by wrapping the manipulated 'Nasty Girl' vocal around the central moody bassline whilst lending his signature oscillating synths and upping the sex appeal. Launching into a wail of sirens, it's clear that 'Born To Be Black' is about to get rowdy. A true club weapon, its all-encompassing bass and kick drum and firey female voice is enough to wreak havoc on any dancefloor. Gauthier DM goes straight for the jugular with his stomping, techno rework of 'Lost on 14th'. Injecting a good dose of wonked out, booming bass, it's one for the tougher rave heads. Guillaume Duchastel de Montrouge, aka DJ W!LD, is part of the infamous Cocoon agency and the newest resident at Circo Loco in DC10, joining last year alongside names such as Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones. The past 2 years have marked a swift comeback for W!LD, a longtime producer and International DJ that made his mark for being elusive, unpredictable, and truly underground. Heavily involved in hip-hop and graffiti trends and street culture, his DJ W!LD alias is wink to the cult motion picture "Wild style", a portrait of graffiti pioneers to an authentic soundtrack of late 70's hip hop New Yorkers. Born in 1975, his journey into music started in the 80's in French town Dijon, where he was immersed in a world of funk, disco, and groovy beats. In the early 90's, Laurent Garnier appeared on the Dijon scene with his residency at L'Enfer and initiated the first steps of a new rave culture in the hexagon. Deeply touched by this revolution and the music of the godfathers of Detroit techno and Chicago house, W!LD discovered his future musical route. Relocating to Paris in 1996, W!LD was soon playing in the best nightspots; the Palace; the Queen; the Rex and invited to the famous New York club Twilo. After a brief stint living in Brazil, W!ld became one of the leading DJs in the underground gay scene in Europe, providing soundtracks for fashion shows for Thierry Mugler, Christian Lacroix, and Vivienne Westwood. In 2005, Catwash was created, a unique production partnership between W!ld and Chris Carrier and also his first record label. This year he launched a new record label, W, a place for him and his friends to reflect on experiences and musical influences. On this his debut album 'Palace' will appear with remixes scheduled from DJ Sneak, Kerri Chandler, Chris Carrier, Hector Morales, Phil Weeks, Chez Damiezand SIS. Whetting the appetite of his developing fan base ahead of his album out in June, another spiritual home to the French underground brigade, Adult Only, welcomes DJ W!LD to the family. With the artist this on top of his game, W!LD will be a name upon many more more lips before long.
