Prepare to have your brain fried! Enjoy the jolt of electroshock therapy without having to step foot in a psych ward! Jack Fell Down—originally a production and DJ duo based out of Sheffield that now splits its time between there and London—has been around for a minute. James Vickers and Tony Craig (no Jack—sorry) released an excellent, albeit especially druggy, EP, on Home Taping Is Killing Music, back in 2012, which they followed with offerings for Manucci's Mistress, Dabit, and, most recently, Quintessentials. Finally, they've found their way to the other side of the Atlantic for their best record yet. Epiphany starts off by clubbing you over the head. The titular track is unrelenting techno driven by chunky chords and frenetic hats. “Blackmail” is more high-octane nastiness, though it does feel a bit looser and less aggressive than its companion. Matrixxman's version of “Overrated” (the original appears as a digital-only exclusive) is no less driven and energized, but the paranoia that fuels it is of a more austere variety. It's all looped, repeated madness, stacked in an orderly yet terrifying fashion. The 12” ends with “Space Junk,” a rather melodious and strangely uplifting track, though one no less capable of blowing the roof off any club than its associates found on this slab of wax. This record is JFD's perfect hand. It's equal parts party-starting mayhem, thoughtful throwback revelry, and classical reverence. That's the epiphany. More

Opting instead to work in obscurity and anonymity Jack Fell Down have signed a deal with one of the worlds longest standing and respected Dance labels, Southern Fried Records along side some of the industries biggest artist. Jack Fell Down's Debut release is a limited edition 12" extended player and will be in shops April 2012, this will be followed up with remixes for The 2 Bears and a second EP with Southern Fried. Jack Fell Down have an exclusive track on the upcoming Jaymo & Andy George compilation and have confirmed radio shows and blog podcasts with platforms such as Ibiza's Sarah Main's syndicated radio show. The mysterious Love Drop continues his homage to the classic raw sounds of days gone by as he drops an anthemic and pounding slice of House music for Home Taping.
With his trademark moody grooves and heavy delays he builds a vibe which is guaranteed to set any dance floor on fire.
Keeping it raw and proper with a generous pinch of soul and more than a touch of badass, Love Drop just moved things up to the next level. Less is definitely more as he destroys the floor. On the flip, Dicky Trisco plays to the emotional strength of the original and delivers a highly polished heads-down, dubbed out version for the club.
While rising star of the scene Dan Shake raises the tempo and treats us to a raw and funky workout to complete a very fine package indeed.

Way back then Home Taping dropped a release by an anonymous act called Klic that turned out to be another moniker for a Medlar production.
Now the imprint re-launch the original alongside a couple of mighty remixes by the Tuff City Kids - in both Acid and Garage modes - plus an extension and rework of the original vibes by Dicky Trisco that pushes the proper Deep House meets Disco button.
All the remixes sit nice and proud alongside the still shining brilliance of the original cut. More

The second vinyl sampler features the production skills of some very exciting, emerging new artists. First up is Deep Space Orchestra from the UK. Having recently caught the eye of Gilles Peterson and top house imprints like Delusions of Grandeur, it seems that DSO’s music is now starting to get the attention that it deserves. Andy Ash from Liverpool is another producer who has been consistently turning out top quality underground house sounds for a number of years now, most notably for The Revenge’s L.E.S.S. edits series. Meanwhile, Italian producer Nicholas’s blend of disco edits and original 90s house sounds has been creating quite a stir, and has seen his standing as a producer grow weekly with various releases on imprints like Small World Disco, Mo More Hits, Kojak & Dikso already, as well as an increasing demand for remix work.
