DJ W!LD - Comment On Baise Dans Le Harcore
French house innovator DJ W!ld has roamed through many different stylistic terrains over the years and now finds himself in stripped-back minimal mode for the excellent Trelik. 'The Night Owls' opens up with tight drum loops and off-grid synth daubs that hypnotise while making you move. 'Drunkin' is a kicking cut with well-designed drums enveloped by sub-bass and topped with swirling and smeared chords. 'Fashionistas' is another perfect bit of stripped-back body music with low slung kicks and little else but they are enough to keep you locked. 'Comment On Baise Dans Le Hardcore' closes out with another mix of physical kicks and heady synths.

Empirical Magnetism (EM) is glad to welcome Paris-based DJ and producer DJ W!LD on the occasion of the 3rd release of the label. With Kindergarten (Part 1), DJ W!LD shows his hand: Part 1 is only the beginning.
This first EP unveils three dancefloor-driven tracks, all in what W!LD's does best: a straightforward and uncompromising tech-house music - as can be heard on the A-side in "Genius" (A1) and "Control Us" (A2) - brought to life with soulful voice samplings.
On the B-side, "La Petite Porte" (B) reveals stronger and more commanding beats becoming milder around the end of the track thanks to W!LD's taste for harmonious samples.
Thought of as an expert in sampling, DJ W!LD is one of the figureheads of Paris' underground electronic scene. He launched the labels Catwash, The W Label, and, not long ago, Dailycid, eponym name of the party series he sometimes throws. More

The much-celebrated Parisian DJ W!LD has been enjoying a fine time of it lately. Gig-wise, he threw it down recently at SXM alongside the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Zip, while he even stopped by in Mixmag NYC LAB back in February also. From a release perspective, the ever-consistent producer has put out acclaimed works on the likes of Snork Enterprises, as well as fledgling French label, Emperical Magnetism for whom he returns to here with exactly the sort of panache we've come to expect.
The club-ready three tracker, entitled "Kindergarten (Part 2)", sees W!LD reprise the kindergarten theme of 2018, which came into effect on his debut for the French label. Part 2 kicks off with "Indigo Girl", a tough, tech-tinged workout that sees W!LD delve into his ever-expanding arsenal of killer samples. A track that's sure to light up any dancefloor, it's full of the sort of charm that the producer has built a career on over the years.
The other track on the A-side is "Jumatate de Viata". Spread over the course of almost 8 minutes, this adventurous sounding cut is full of drama and suspense, with its groove-heavy approach again indicative of the producer's knack for churning out blissful, peak-time suitable bombs. The B-side is comprised solely of one track, "Left Hander", but it's also one that's worth its weight in gold. A track that's very clearly indebted to W!LD's great appreciation for all things hip-hop, it's the sound of a producer taking a chance and being greatly rewarded for doing so.
If you're after something a bit different this weather, W!LD's latest is without doubt sure to make an impression. More

The relentless work ethic of DJ W!LD shows no sign of slowing down with another amazing EP, this time through his own imprint The W Label, that unleashes four new tracks plus a dubbed out remix. In contrast to his recent output on other labels the five tracks sit firmly in the ‘DJ Tools’ category with stripped back arrangements, raw-to-the-bone underground house grooves and drums showcasing all that is good about the Parisian’s highly in-demand DJ sets. Head-nodding tribal infused percussion is the main theme with tracks ‘Blind’ and ‘Miami Bitch’ setting the scene with a brass breakdown in the latter that is sure to send shivers down spines. ‘Narco’ switches things up with its core element focused around a shoulder shaking bass organ straight out of the 90’s. ‘On Board’ gets and original and re-worked Dub outing with hypnotic congas and a vocal that loops inside the mind.

DJ W!LD is back, this time on Crosstown offshoot Rebellion with a stomping summer anthem featuring Cari Golden on vocals ‘Shape U’. The original fuses the solid punch of a club weapon with the laidback feel of poolside disco, while the Fur Coat Remake gives the track an entirely different sheen all chugging disco bass-line, dark synths and pitched down vocals. An aptly named WILDER remix and dub from the producer ties up an unmissable EP. The prolific DJ W!LD is one of France’s longest serving underground house heroes. As part of the Cocoon family and as a Circo Loco resident, DJ W!LD under various aliases has released on labels such as OFF Recordings, Robsoul, and his own imprints Catwash Records and W including debut album ‘Palace’ in 2011. Second album ‘D!RTY’ landed on Cabin Fever last year. Originally from Dijon, W!LD’s passion for graffiti, street culture, disco, funk and hip hop led him into DJing, taking his name from cult 1983 film Wild Style. Relocating to Paris in 1996, DJ W!LD was instrumental in the French house scene, pouring his energies into the city’s underground club community and later becoming a globally successful artist and fixture at the best international clubs and festivals. Fur Coat have been blazing a trail since their mighty debut album in 2012 on Crosstown Rebels ‘Mind Over Matter’ also featuring Cari Golden on vocals on the massive hit ‘You And I’. The fast-rising Venezuelan duo have been remixed by TEED and have a single forthcoming on Crosstown.

Hot on the heels of his ‘ weet & picy EP’ on The W Label, DJ W!LD now unleashes Rainbow in my pocket EP. The four tracks see W!LD at his most underground and dirty; it’s 3am music for when the freaks come out. Lead cut ‘Rainbow In My Pocket’ has a title which belies the deep, dark and thumping nature of the track, perfectly at home on the darkest, sweatiest dancefloors. ‘Beats 2’ is a DJ’s dream tool - scattered percussion and a “jack me till I start to scream” vocal loop relentlessly. On the B side, ‘Tokyo 9am’ has an impossibly deep bassline, energetic jacking beats and a vocal sample you may just recognise, while ‘Murder City’ is classic W!LD, featuring another intoxicating jacking beat and excursions into floaty breakouts. Another must have EP from a man at the very top of his game. With a flying start to 2013 and more to come for B*Pitch Control, Rebellion (Crosstown Rebels), Rekids and Robsoul, the launch of his own DJ Bag, worldwide tours with Cocoon and Circoloco and a return to DC10, it’s already turning into another suitably wild year for the Parisian.

DJ W!LD’s ‘Sweet & Spicy EP’ is the 10th release on the Parisian’s own imprint ‘The W Label’ and see’s W!LD continue the fine form that has seen him reach the #8 spot in Resident Advisor’s ‘Most Charted Artists of 2012’. W!LD’s unique style of strippedto- the-bone crunching beats, probing basslines and almost impossibly long, captivating breakdowns have seen him grace labels including Cabin Fever/Rekids (who released his album ‘D!RTY’), One Records, Act Natural, Snork Enterprises, Robsoul and Catwash amongst many others in the past 12 months. The ‘Sweet & Spicy EP’ continues in the same vein – all carefully road-tested by W!LD, the focus is on the dancefloor with influences from funk to acid all underpinned by those strong relentless grooves. A stalwart of the tech and deep house scene, DJ W!LD’s career path began in the clubs of Paris in 1996. Working with Chris Carrier from 2005 under the name of Catwash (which also spawned the label) he became well known in the French house and techno scene. By 2009 he was touring the world, represented by the legendary Cocoon agency and playing their worldwide events, as well as landing a residency he retains for Circo Loco at DC-10 in Ibiza and becoming a regular feature on their international tours. The W Label launched in 2011 and was home to W!LD’s critically acclaimed ‘Palace’ album and the club destroying singles it contained. The label is a place for W!LD’s own productions, alongside that of his friends, allowing them reflect on experiences and musical influences. The label motto is “we have W!LD records” and outings by Kerri Chandler, Art Department, Sis, Chris Carrier, Radio Slave, Phil Weeks and W!LD certainly back that up!

DJ W!LD is the French music maestro infamous for his DC10 residency and tireless work ethic. After his debut album last year, he now releases the superb 'D!RTY' on Radio Slave's Cabin Fever imprint.
DJ W!LD's second album is a heady concoction of late night jacking cuts, interspersed with a clever use of sampling - infused with hip-hop attitude and vintage house. 'Dirty' is true of its namesake, a sensual journey that explores the primal instincts finely balancing male and female vocals with sonic vignettes and storming house numbers. It works as a perfect journey through W!LD's sonic landscape of underground Paris and beyond.
Dirty evokes the esteemed house sounds of DJ Sneak, Chez Damier, Kerri Chandler and Hector Moralez whilst pushing this sound further through his unique European experience and interpretation. DJ W!LD's album fit perfectsly on Cabin fever with it's famed reputation for upfront cutting edge house with a nod to the past. A perfect album for Summer fun.

shaun reeves/ tuccillo - Smile (The Mole MMD remix)
"Having both made their mark on One Records with individual releases, Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo are back on board the label this time teaming up to deliver the late night trip' Smile' with a sleazy afterhours remix courtesy of industry connoisseur The Mole. Visionquest's Shaun Reeves was one of the first artists to be involved with One Records when he remixed Subb-an's 'Soul Skool' back in 2010 and has since been a close part of the family with a further remix on the label and appearances at various label showcases. Ibiza resident Tuccillo found his way onto One in 2014 through a collaboration with Subb-an when they released the exceptional 'Day Motion' . After meeting in Ibiza, Shaun and Tuccillo began inevitable studio jams in Tuccillo's impressive studio with outcomes that can already be seen on Shaun's Visionquest imprint via the'Seclusion EP'. Raised in Canada but now residing in Berlin, Colin aka The Mole is a welcome addition to the One family with both Adam Shelton and Subb-an being long time fans of his vast discography which includes releases and remixes on the likes of Wagon Repair and Perlon. 2016 has already seen him play two of the One Records showcases at fabric and Gotwood festival and it's safe to say they won't be the last."

One Records co-founder Subb-an delivers his first full EP for the label with 'Warp' - an exceptional release which also includes 'TV feat. Jacob Phono' who appeared on Subban's Cocoon release 'In The Night'. The release fully epitomises what Subb-an plays in his sets and embodies him as an artist. This is certainly one of his standout releases to date and one of his personal favourites. Originally from Birmingham, Ashique Subhan aka Subb-an now resides in Berlin. A DJ, producer and live artist, his success has been testament to his hard work and dedication . His prodigious studio talents have seen him release on Spectral, Crosstown Rebels, Visionquest, Cocoon and his own One Records. Taking a break from playing live due to establishing himself as a highly respected DJ, this summer has seen him come back to playing live taking his show on the road, showcasing his new material at the likes of fabric, Warehouse Project in Manchester, Panorama Bar and Glastonbury where he closed the Genisys stage after Francois K. The tour has stood alongside his heavy DJ schedule, playing at all the major hot spots including regular gigs at DC10's Circoloco this summer.

At the forefront of the new wave of artists rising from the French underground scene, Parisian hit maker Andrade makes his debut release on One Records with the sensually smooth and solid dance floor bomb, 'Sweet Disposition'. Over on the B Side fellow Frenchman Terence :Terry takes the reins to inject his signature groove while Ibiza residents Acid Mondays round off the package perfectly with a remix that offers everything we are coming to expect from the talented duo. Heading up the A-side, 'Sweet Disposition' masterfully combines a sense of class with stunning synths and subtle samples referencing the prolific scene apparent in 1980s New York, with particular mention of the legendary pioneer Larry Lavan. Melodic keys, deep chords and flowing synths roll across pulsating beats as the track skilfully builds in to a dramatic and somewhat hypnotic affair. Olivier Andrade aka Andrade first made a name for himself through his impressive DJ skills and early releases, fast gaining support from the likes of D'julz, Delano Smith and Ralph Lawson. With releases already on Bass Culture, Poker Flat and Dessous, Andrade is going to shoot straight into the limelight in 2014 being the first non-detroit based artist to release on Delano Smith's MixMode. If that wasn't enough he also has releases lined up on Illusion Recordings, Dessous Recordings, Karat and his own label, Street Knowledge. La Vie En Rose boss Terence :Terry also makes his first appearance on the label with his remix of 'Sweet Disposition' taking things deeper with a powerful low end, complimented perfectly with trippy FX and a clever play on the vocal. Attending the first raves in Paris, Terence holds a wealth of experience and knowledge when it comes to DJing and producing having played everywhere from DC10 to Panorama Bar with releases on the likes of Freak N' Chic, 2020 Vision, Robsoul and 1trax. Last up, Acid Mondays aka Negghead and Lex Wolf bring their high energy and unique sound to the label with their remix. Having had impressive debut EPs drop on Illusion Recordings, Contemporary Scarecrow & Deep Vibes with support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, tINI and Loco Dice, it's no doubt 2014 is set to be big for the dynamic duo with a string of more exciting releases on the way.

Fast making his way on the underground circuit, rising star Samu.l is back onboard One Records home ground delivering his first single release for the label with the entrancingly dark and driving monster 'Invitations'. Rolling with effortless groove and an all encompassing depth in the atmospherics, this is essential DJ weaponry perfect for the late hours or early morning. Warmly welcomed to the label we see the highly talented Martin Buttrich conjure up a powerful remix true to his distinct style, with a grumbling bassline and sonic force that will undoubtedly dominate any dance floor at peak time, complemented with a raw and chugging dub version to complete the ultimate package. Hailing from the Midlands themselves both Subb-an and Adam Shelton are proud to have fellow Birmingham artist Tom Reynolds aka Samu.l as part of the crew. After making his first appearance on the label early last year with 'Innocent' on a v/a sampler, Samu.l soon became a name everyone was talking about. Towards the end of the year he firmly planted his feet in the One family playing at their infamous Below party and with a stellar remix of Hector's 'Stoned Raiders' for the label. Releases have also been on the likes of Surface Recordings, Dogmatik and Infuse, with a much anticipated remix for Subb-an due on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records next year. Wanting to secure the perfect remix for this release, the One boys called upon Desolat co-founder Martin Buttrich, a friend and artist who they highly respect. Being a hug fan of his work, Samu.l and Buttrich have also formed a connection over the last year appearing together on a number of line-ups. When not playing at the likes of Loco Dice's Used and Abused night in Ibiza, where he also played with Guy Gerber at his Wisdom Of The Glove night at Pacha, Buttrich is releasing on the labels such as Minus, Supplement Facts and his own Desolat. Watch out for a release also coming on Carl Craig's Planet E in February next year.

For the next release on One Records we see a welcomed collaboration from label head Subb-an and Ibiza resident Tuccillo. Together they bring you the exceptional 'Day Motion', a tight rolling and intricate groover with balearic ambience, clearly showcasing both producers talent and style. On the flip side One Records are proud to welcome the legendary french producer Point G who delivers a heavy duty remix like only he can. With a pounding bass the track progresses gritty and dense, never dropping with an array of vocal haunts, melodic keys and carnivalesque FX, swelling and falling throughout. Distinctively different, the original and remix make the perfect soundtracks for the summer dance floor, each for a different moment in time. Rising star John Dimas is up next on One Records with two killer club cuts backed up by remixes from Argentine house master Guti and label boss Adam Shelton. ‘Rhythm Trap’ is a peak time hypnotic affair with a propulsive groove building into a teasing acid line. Second original track ‘Let It Go’ feat. Jose is another analogue banger with serious bounce and techno swagger. The vinyl includes four exclusive locked grooves. Greek/Berlin based producer John Dimas is fast becoming a name to watch after the stunning and diverse ‘Living Lies EP’ on La Vie En Rose and a recent release on Dame Music. This offering on One Records is set to cement 2013 as a breakthrough year for the artist. John gained a reputation in his native Thessaloniki, Greece for his three turntables DJ sets and an ear for digging out the hottest, rare tracks. Soon John was on the international club circuit and a first foray into the studio came with duo Actor One in 2008. Now John is concentrating on solo production and developing his more experimental live sets. Guti is the musician with the Jazz and Latin roots who turned to techno and has since bestowed his intense musicality to a solid cannon of productions on home label Desolat (including debut album ‘Patio De Juegos’) Crosstown Rebels and Wolf + Lamb. One Records’ boss Adam Shelton has been delivering some worldclass Remixes of late including the massive ‘What I Might Do’ by Ben Pearce and Subban’s ‘Rain’ on Visionquest. Watch out for his next EP on One Records 25th release featuring Italian producer/vocalist Francesca Lombardo.

Santos Resiak, Dilo, - A Better Light
Subb-an and Adam Shelton kick things off in 2013 by introducing one of their close friends to the One Records imprint. Dante Costantini better known under the artist name Santos Resiak delivers a guaranteed bomb featuring the sensational voice of Dilo with DC10 favourites The Martinez Brothers on remix duty. As soon as the original ‘A Better Light’ was passed onto the One Records boys they took it straight to the club to test. With the energy the track created on the dance floor and everyone desperate to know what it was they signed it immediately. Starting off with those One style beats the track progresses into a melodic bass that instantly captivates, later followed by luring stabs and haunting vocals sure to mesmerise any audience. With much deliberation over who would be able to deliver the perfect remix, Subban and Adam Shelton turned to young wonder boys The Martinez Brothers. Smashing dance floor since they were a mere 16 years old the dynamic duo deliver exactly the kind that would be played at DC10 and sure to be an anthem at the club this year. The dub version offers an alternative style without the synths for those later hours of the night with their original remix for the peak time affair.

For his second EP on the imprint Hector delivers ‘Stoned Raiders’ a dark and trippy ride into late night territory – packing plenty of groove and aimed straight at the dancefloor, with an alternative dub version rounding off the A-side. Over on the flip, heroes of the West Coast U.S house scene and frequent names on the famous Siesta Records, Hipp-E and Halo aka H Foundation make their first appearance on the label with their remix. A heavy-duty dance floor monster, effortlessly raw with sharp kicks and industrial horns, there’s no doubt this will do some damage, with it’s sonic madness and trippy FX. Birmingham’s rising star Samu.l is back on the label since his huge hit ‘Innocent’ was released earlier in the year. His remix is deep and smooth yet powerfully driving, subtly building to kick in with dark haunting stabs in the final minutes and creating a whole new twist. Last on remix duty is another familiar name in the One Records camp, Peter JD. He adds his classic touch, taking us on a journey into the atmospheric with ounces of warmth and the wonderfully layered synth patterns.
