The Patchouli Brothers are best friends from small town Canada, who found themselves bonded by their affinity for the strange side of house, disco, soul & otherworldly sounds. They hold down a residency at Beam Me Up, a weekly disco night in Toronto & a monthly party in Montreal, and have had releases on some of their favourite labels like Defected, Soundway, GAMM, Star Creature, Pleasure of Love & Basic Fingers.

Before the world stopped spinning, they were touring Europe & beyond. They look forward to meeting freaks across the world and to dance together again soon. More

and Paulo Fulci is a DJ and producer out of Bristol UK. His work as part of the Situation edit crew has been released and supported as part of the underground for many years….he now spends his days slangin' records, whilst honing his disco scalpel skills in the late twilight hours.
Following on from their incendiary slab of two sided gospel goodness 'Born Again' & 'Soul Revival', the Divine Situation duo have crafted the next lot of bangin' spiritualized dancefloor destroyers for your record box.
Here we have an EP catering for several sides to your night. The lead off cut is the flat out roof raiser 'The Problem Solver'…..then it's boogified territory with 'Brand New Feelin', before they close out with the end of 'nighter, 'Try Love'.

“Cuffari (Make The World Larger Than Me)” on the A side is four and a half minutes of luscious, soulful, string laden goodness, entrancing you with those dreamy vocals. Trust us, she’s right when she says “…the melody echoes in my mind” – this one will be stuck in your head for days!
Flip it over and Marcel Vogel, under his Em Vee alias channels the happy-go-lucky NYC discotheque days through “Dancing (Jumbo)”. With an all too infectious guitar and bass riff, coupled with cosmic synth pops and perfectly layered vocal chants – it’s sure fire, peak time disco gold.

Another killer release from the essential re -edits/rarities label Moton. Number 39 brings us three more obscurities lovingly edited by label head honcho Diesel with the funky as hell Feels So Good leading the EP. Kicking off the B side you will find a great Latin version of Ian Dury's Wake Up, then rounding off the EP is Discomora classically cut and spliced to perfection for your dancefloor pleasure. Diesel comes up trumps on the latest Moton release love all three tracks.
Starting with Feels so Good which is a great midtempo soulful West Coast flavoured bomb that's driving me mad trying to remember the original. Next up is the killer Latin cover version of Ian Dury's Wake up a sure fire floor filler that guarantees a rush for ID requests any time I play it ... Love it & will be playing for some time to come! Finally Discorama operatic disco for the leftfield floors all in all a top release from Moton. Moton 39 returns with an EP of music that is as epic as it is operatic as it is just pure funky.
