Sudden Drop ditch the techno sounds their release and head back to the more classic deep house sounds that signified the launch of the label. Ivano Tetelepta is the man chosen to lead the way back to house with this excellent double header of super slick sounds. ‘Throwdown House’ treads a hypnotic path whilst flipsides ‘That Deep Shit’ opts for a more traditional deep house vibe.

London based producers Ethyl & Flori continue their recent rebirth with a classy ep on Sudden Drop; ‘White Lotus Rebellion’ kicks things off with a simmering house groove, ‘Sidestep’ takes things in an altogether different direction, harnessing the energy of the baser side of UK nightlife whist ‘Shorthand’ rides a more traditional techno route with it’s bigger room vibe

After a years absence, Sudden Drop return with Leif yet again at the controls. After his superbly received LP ‘Dinas Oleu’ for UK Imprint Fear of Flying, the Welsh maestros sound continues on it’s upward trajectory with this beautifully constructed four tracker; from the more peak time warm vibes of ‘Solstice’, the deeper feelings of ‘With Your Sincere Heart’ or the more musical ‘Once There Was Nothing’ and ‘Sintra’

Ilario Alicante might well be best known for his previous releases on big room labels Cocoon and Cecille but preconceptions can be misleading. Here on Sudden Drop we plough a deeper furrow, not ones for hands up in the air shenanigans we prefer to get our heads down on the dancefloor for some serious introspection, which is why this 3 tracker from the Italian born Ilario finds it’s way onto our label. ‘Echotechno’ is indeed a main room slice of stomping techno but with that oh so important moody vibe that we crave here at SD, ‘Rouge Dub’ on the flip delves deeper with an exceedingly trippy soundscape whilst ‘Untitled Drop’ rounds things off with a spritely techno groove.

Bleak?s 2nd release on Sudden Drop and another ep of streamlined sleek Tehcno. ?Landscape? pulses along with a notably sense of warmth permeating through the otherwise stark groover. ?Fall? break up the pace nicely, incorporated more of a broken beat rhythm and a notched up level of intensity. Expect big things from this artist with rumoured eps to appear on BIG labels in the near future..

For release no.4 Sudden Drop enlisted the talents of Russian based recording artist & DJ Tripmastaz, who has been producing for the likes of Morris Audio and most noticeably DJ Sneak’s Magnetic Recordings imprint since 2004. With each release his sound seems to get more defined and mature and our attention which seriously pricked when we first heard his tracks being played on Jus-Ed’s radio show. We quickly got in touch and asked for some tracks. First up is ‘Utilized Stock Sounds’, originally produced in 2003 this melancholic slab of deep techno deservedly finally sees the light of day with a grimy lo-fi feel and enough dance floor nous to work the floor admirably. Flip side track ‘Botinko Dub’ injects a big, cavernous bass line and razor sharp hats n’snares.
