Bleak?s 2nd release on Sudden Drop and another ep of streamlined sleek Tehcno. ?Landscape? pulses along with a notably sense of warmth permeating through the otherwise stark groover. ?Fall? break up the pace nicely, incorporated more of a broken beat rhythm and a notched up level of intensity. Expect big things from this artist with rumoured eps to appear on BIG labels in the near future..

Naura Records is proud to be back to present another strong release This time some lost archive material that goes back to the very beginning of his productions. Bleak delivers 3 cuts of his custom recipe but somehow adds new unexpected flavours throughout this Ep even though staying on his formal path. Starting with the A side, Dust (Mix1) takes off with an introspective journey with detroit and classic techno. A real head turner with a classy ride and functional feeling Dust (Mix2) more for the deeper realm, accompanied with enchanted melodies as a twist. Finally on the flip, "Element" samples the heartbeat of a even deeper state, where one is allowed to lose yourself. Get a hold of something solid, for this is a tune that communicates a lot of subtle changes and honesty."

A.1 "Rampage" is an explosive toolish techno tune, that submerges in a dark but atmosferic radiance with heavy pulsating drums and bass lines that engulfes into total deepness. A track frull of atitude. B.1 "Chase" on the flippside is another straight forward thinking production, that overcomes with overdimensional chords and with an intelligent funky sequence that wraps you in again and again.

Sweden’s Bleak is fast becoming an essential part of his country’s techno new school. Through releases on Deeply Rooted House, Sudden Drop and Traut he has emerged as a producer of funky, loopy techno a la countrymen Skudge. Here he debuts on Delsin with a fierce two tracker, Origins of Chaos. The first track ‘Sixteen Crude’ is a cantering techno cut with searing, warbling synths racing along above lazier, underlapping kicks. It’s a nice contrast that gives the acidic track plenty of depth, before the flipside, ‘Subject Target’ deals in more convoluted, whip-snap lines that thrash about like cables in a storm. Industrial yet human, it’s timeless techno that wraps you up in its midst and never lets you go.

Ilario Alicante might well be best known for his previous releases on big room labels Cocoon and Cecille but preconceptions can be misleading. Here on Sudden Drop we plough a deeper furrow, not ones for hands up in the air shenanigans we prefer to get our heads down on the dancefloor for some serious introspection, which is why this 3 tracker from the Italian born Ilario finds it’s way onto our label. ‘Echotechno’ is indeed a main room slice of stomping techno but with that oh so important moody vibe that we crave here at SD, ‘Rouge Dub’ on the flip delves deeper with an exceedingly trippy soundscape whilst ‘Untitled Drop’ rounds things off with a spritely techno groove.

Sudden Drop ditch the techno sounds their release and head back to the more classic deep house sounds that signified the launch of the label. Ivano Tetelepta is the man chosen to lead the way back to house with this excellent double header of super slick sounds. ‘Throwdown House’ treads a hypnotic path whilst flipsides ‘That Deep Shit’ opts for a more traditional deep house vibe.

For release no.4 Sudden Drop enlisted the talents of Russian based recording artist & DJ Tripmastaz, who has been producing for the likes of Morris Audio and most noticeably DJ Sneak’s Magnetic Recordings imprint since 2004. With each release his sound seems to get more defined and mature and our attention which seriously pricked when we first heard his tracks being played on Jus-Ed’s radio show. We quickly got in touch and asked for some tracks. First up is ‘Utilized Stock Sounds’, originally produced in 2003 this melancholic slab of deep techno deservedly finally sees the light of day with a grimy lo-fi feel and enough dance floor nous to work the floor admirably. Flip side track ‘Botinko Dub’ injects a big, cavernous bass line and razor sharp hats n’snares.
