Phantasy is proud to announce its next release by the legendary In Flagranti. Revered by many to be amongst the best producers and artists of underground club music, the Swiss duo’s sounds have been staple in the sets of some of the world’s finest DJs, from Phantasy boss Erol Alkan to James Murphy, Tim Sweeney, Horsemeat Disco and many more. Their ‘Headrush’ EP is set for release digitally on July 8th 2013, preceded by a limited 12” on June 27th. This release features four cuts with only the dancefloor in mind, each track echoing the sexuality, style and darkness of the late night disco. Title track ‘Headrush’ melds clattering beats with ecstatic sighs and strutting synth stabs to set the pulse racing, while ‘Locker Keys For Tops’ and ‘Toiletries For Bottoms’ are sister slices of sleazy tropical house. The sassy ‘Dope As Shit’ completes the EP, and more than lives up to its title. At the forefront of everything is the duo’s provocative sense of humour, from the knowing wink of their track names to the retro cut and paste collage of both their cover art and their masterful edits which have ensured them a permanent spot in the hearts and record boxes (and USB sticks) of today’s leading music makers. run-down,” added Alex Gloor, who still resides in Basel. “So I let myself be inspired by one of my favorite places to spend time: 1970s- 80s New York City.”
Using experiences from Gloor’s past trips to the Forty Deuce, Worse For Wear conjures up ghosts from the finest of adult playgrounds past. “Hollow Discourses” swaggers in on a gritty bassline, revealing excess in its degenerative electro finest, and “Prelude to Chaos” reminisces the days where the finest of 69-cent wines glistened in the gutters outside the arcade. But standing at a right angle from In Flagranti’s better-known, dirty disco sound are tracks with a peculiar sense of calm. Tracks like “The End of the Road” and “On the Fringe” leave a bit of the sleaze at the massage parlor door, opening up a new chapter of sound for the band. More outer space dump diving than straight-up vulgar, Crnobrnja also added that the album “Works with old recordings that we have not used yet, such as vocals recorded years ago that I didn’t like at the time.” Bringing back the past has meant a softer edge for the duo, who still work from different countries. The only time they come together is for music.

It's been nearly 3 years since the last MODE 'Lo Fi Odyssey' release on Codek Records and it's been worth the wait. What we got here are 2 excellent tracks, very melodic with a superb production. Play the Game is 12 min of Balearic bliss. It's the kind of tune that makes me imagine sitting near the beach and sipping frozen Margaritas and playing it on loop.. watching girls go by. Although the Vibe is very mellow, at 115bpm it goes well with any of the current Nu Disco/Deep House releases. On the flip side is the track You don't Know which i had in my CD bag for almost 4 years, since Daniel Mode gave me a demo copy and i have played it out on many occasion and it always delivered on the dance floor. Now for this release MODE exchanged all the plug in synth with his beloved Juno 6 and it sounds so smooth!
