Just in time for the Australian Summer, Sydney's indie-electronic-popettes, Convaire bring the first and title tune from their highly anticipated debut EP, The New You.
Equal measures quiet childhood nostalgia and barefooted Summer festival romance, The New You is a sparkling indication of what Convaire do so exceptionally well - the art of creating synth-happy, '80s inspired, chill-sweet pop songs.
Inspired by the likes of Talking Heads, Friendly Fires and Phoenix, Convaire were first given airtime by local Sydney radio heroes, FBI Radio.
Since then, the four-turned-five piece released their first single Gate Track in September '10 to national airplay and gushing reviews. Their exceptional reputation was vindicated whilst winning a Triple J Unearthed initiative, which saw the band play alongside Delorean, Kele (Bloc Party) and 2manydjs at Sydney's iconic dance festival, Parklife.
Two singles, over one hundred shows and a few tambourine shakes later Future Classic saw potential in John Towey's vocal likening to The Cure's Robert Smith and the energy of the synth-loving Slattery sisters.
The New You EP is available in a 7 inch vinyl package + 5 track Bonus CD, which is exciting enough to warrant a shoe shuffle and a couple of hand claps.

His debut single 'Body Stop' was one of the first tracks released on Future Classic, all the way back in 2004. Fast-forward to 2013 and his debut EP 'Pizza Guy / Show Me ' became one of the one of the most internationally beloved releases of 2013, due to the cult status 'Pizza Guy' received.

Two of Australia's most promising prospects have collaborated on a stand alone release. Modern day Renaissance beat maker Ta-ku and Brisbane-based vocalist Wafia will release the (m)edian - EP worldwide on Future Classic.
Having previously work together on Wafia's own standout single 'Heartburn', the plan for a collaborative release was hatched when Ta-ku produced a cover of Estelle's 'American Boy', aptly titled 'American Girl' with Wafia on featuring vocals, for a sold out MoMA PS1 live show in October 2015.

In their teenage years they discovered electronic music and this led them to start spinning records and producing tracks together. Years later they met two other talented musicians and formed Danish indie-electro outfit, When Saints Go Machine, but still kept building Kenton Slash Demon as a separate project.
Whilst working on their When Saints Go Machine debut, Kenton Slash Demon released their critically acclaimed 'Khattabi' EP on Tartelet Records. A steady succession of high quality EPs followed on the Danish label: 'Sun' EP (2010), 'Matter' EP (2010)'Daemon' EP (2011) and then the 'Ore' single (2012), garnering the duo widespread recognition and praise from critics and peers alike. Fans over the years include DJ Koze, Dixon, Claude Von Stroke, Brodinski, Luciano to Hot Chip, John Talabot, Gold Panda and Michael Mayer. Kenton Slash Demon's sound is both organic and futuristic, and their obvious skills take their productions further than the typical frame and dramaturgy of a club track. They want to create soundtracks for clubs as well as music that you can listen to on your home stereo, thus blurring the space between the public and private experience.
