Special Remarks: Third EP released on Future Classic, download codes
Tracklist:
A. TT
B. Dok
Short info:
'TT/Dok' is Kenton Slash Demon's third EP on Future Classic, and is set for release 04 March 2016. The two track EP is set to hold down the same amount of anticipation and support of precious offerings of the Danish duo. This release affirms again the strength of Kenton Slash Demon's organic and futuristic sound, and their obvious skills take their productions further than the typical frame and dramaturgy of a club track. They want to create soundtracks for clubs as well as music that you can listen to on your home stereo, thus blurring the space between the public and private experience.

Kenton Slash Demon - Zstring (Kasper Marrots Repeat Mix)
Kenton Slash Demon return to Tartelet Records with Zstring + remixes by Urulu and Kasper Marott + 12’ comes in vintage Tartelet sleeves circa 2009-2010. Limited Edition 400 copies. It’s been ten years since Kenton Slash Demon landed on Tartelet with their debut EP Khattabi followed by the much-celebrated The Schwarzschild Trilogy singles - Sun, Matter and Daemon all released 2009–2011.Ten years have passed since our first release on Tartelet and with this record it feels like we’ve gone full circle. It’s a beautiful thing.”
Zstring marks their return to Tartelet – but it’s also a precursor for things to come within the next year. With talks of a full-length album, the KSD project is now being given the attention it deserves.
Kenton Slash Demon have always had an affinity for uplifting melancholic tunes – and Zstring cements their ability to create just that. The track oozes with dance-floor euphoria, offering up a distorted arpeggio bassline, lush pads and layered melodies, all built around a tight and ever- changing groove. There are clear references to Italo disco, early techno and trance, but it’s hard to pin down the exact style – if that even matters.
On remix duties, man of the moment and label collaborator, Urulu, delivers a fresh take in his signature early 90s style, while local hero and close friend Kasper Marott of Monkeytown fame comes through with an obscure melodic techno workout of the finest sorts.
To further advance the concept of “full circle,” the 12’ comes in vintage Tartelet sleeves circa 2009-2010, salvaged from three different releases – which have been in storage since being produced.
Zstring will be available April 12 th 2019 on vinyl and April 26th on all digital platforms. More

A. HARPE B. SYKO
INFO
Future Classic - the Australian independent label and home to Flume, Chet Faker, Flight Facilities and Jagwar Ma - are proud to announce the signing of Danish production duo Kenton Slash Demon. To celebrate the new signing, Kenton Slash Demon have released 'Harpe' - the first half of a forthcoming AA-side 12" Harpe/Syko.
Future Classic founder Nathan McLay says of the signing:
We are psyched to be working with KSD. They are an illusive act whose infrequent originals and even rarer remixes became early morning staples at our club nights in Sydney over the years. We never expected it but when we were recently sent demos of some new original music to consider it was an easy and natural thing for us. KSD make forward thinking four to the floor club music with strong emotional gravitas that's at once bleak and euphoric. They are also not afraid to experiment - be it old school rave or reinterpreting breakbeats - which is also appealing to us in a genre that can sometimes feel stale. We are chuffed to sign future classic's first Danish artists!
Silas Moldenhawer and Jonas Kenton, both children of the early 80´s, grew up alongside each other in the tiny big city of Copenhagen. In their teenage years they discovered electronic music and this led them to start spinning records and producing tracks together. Years later they met two other talented musicians and formed Danish indie-electro outfit, When Saints Go Machine, but still kept building Kenton Slash Demon as a separate project.
Whilst working on their When Saints Go Machine debut, Kenton Slash Demon released their critically acclaimed 'Khattabi' EP on Tartelet Records. A steady succession of high quality EPs followed on the Danish label: 'Sun' EP (2010), 'Matter' EP (2010)'Daemon' EP (2011) and then the 'Ore' single (2012), garnering the duo widespread recognition and praise from critics and peers alike. Fans over the years include DJ Koze, Dixon, Claude Von Stroke, Brodinski, Luciano to Hot Chip, John Talabot, Gold Panda and Michael Mayer. Kenton Slash Demon's sound is both organic and futuristic, and their obvious skills take their productions further than the typical frame and dramaturgy of a club track. WAA Industry / Future Classic split Release
Tracklist: A. Skydancer I & II
Short info:
Whilst Kenton Slash Demon’s discography has been relatively scant in the recent past, the quality of their production has always shone brightly, a kaleidoscope of moods and styles underpinned by distinctive organic and futuristic sounds. The ‘Skydancer’ EP is Kenton Slash Demon’s first outing in three years and arrives in pristine form on the newly founded Copenhagen based label WAA Industry. WAA Industry is an audiovisual label collective run by Kenton Slash Demon as musical curators in partnership with their long time visual collaborator, The Emperor Of Antarctica. ‘Skydancer’ sees a simultaneous worldwide release under exclusive license to the Australian label, Future Classic (home to Flume, Chet Faker and Cashmere Cat). There are no half measures where this Danish duo are concerned; ‘Skydancer’ is a 15 minute monolith structured in two parts. ‘Skydancer I’ captures the brooding propulsive sound of the Berlin underground with its industrial hats and sinister central bass line, whilst ‘Skydancer II’ erupts into a powerhouse of breakbeaks and expansive flourishes of dark euphoria. It’s an evocative record that reflects twin affections for The Berghain and the UK rave scene, filtered through the Kenton Slash Demon lense.
