For this 12th release, we give you the opportunity to grab 4 fantastic trax done by one of today’s hotest producer : JUNE. Tasmpikos Fronas has been signed this year on argy’s label these days & delivered one of the most astonishing first album we’ve heard for a while called cytheria. He has already been remixed by DJ Sprinkles. He sent us his brand new tracks & we felt it was so good that we decided to release them straight ! His sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and acid. A whirlwind of crystalline electronics, sunshine-bright melodies and playful synthesizer riffs (with a dash of original chi-town jack thrown in), it comes on like a particularly cosmic jam session between Plone, Daniel Wang, Claro Intellecto and Larry Heard. On the moon. On this evidence, Fronas is clearly one to watch. And to add to the magic, we got an amazing remix done by the great & super talented italian producer : Simoncino. This is surely going to be one of the biggest releases this year, Stay tuned !

Tsampikos Fronas aka June takes a departure from his dance orientated earlier work. Recorded between 2018 and 2020, Window of Time sees the Berlin-based producer explore sparser arrangements than his previous releases.
The record unravels like a dystopian cyberpunk novel, something akin to William Gibson’s Neuromancer. Both the title track and ‘Stratagem / Predator’ create an increasing tension that builds through repetitive sequences. The arpeggiated synths on ‘Year 2092’ evoke images of sprawling metropolitan city scapes, while the claustrophobic mood of ‘The Master of Electricity’, the first track written for the album, wouldn’t go amiss on a soundtrack to a sci-fi thriller like Blade Runner.
Created using modular synthesizers, analog sequencers and analog polyphonic synths, Window of Time eschews melody in favour of cold, pulsating rhythms. Combined with haunting choral toplines and minimalistic flourishes, such as those on album closer ‘Elegy’, June invites the listener on a free dive into their subconscious; to navigate boundless, unexplored territories. Half of Manie Sans Délire, June (Mannequin / Suction), turns up on Artificial Dance with his anticipated new mini-album, ‘Horizons’ - following on from his studio companion Trenton Chase’s ‘Planar Array’ released earlier in 2020. True to the signature synth-splattered sound of his and his duo, June’s newest wave-imbued manifesto has us swimming amidst an organized chaos of roughly extruded keyboard wizardry, punk-minded drum programming and a retro-futuristic headspace.
Scanning out the gap between Italo, new wave, EBM and new beat, ‘Horizons’ shifts seamlessly from forward-moving, arpeggio-laden circuitry (‘JW’, ‘Infinity Room') to hi-intensity body music (’New Horizons’), through ambientoid spaced-out sonic explorations (‘Uncharted Territories’) and quirky downtempo chuggers (‘Reverie’, ‘Psychic Process’). A kaleidoscope of rhythmic tricks and shape-shifting mirages, June’s scope-expanding six-track voyage vows to play mind games with its listener till all lights have gone off. More

Greek artist June makes his debut on Mannequin Records with the 'Silver Demon' LP. The album explores a futuristic dystopian world where transcendence and oppression coexist, where claustrophobia and infinite openness coincide. A world of contrasts that is the product of the artist‘s active imagination and conscious effort to confront the subconscious.
The album was recorded using original techniques from the golden era of electronic music (late 70s to mid 80s) with an arsenal of vintage analog synthesizers, drum machines and effect processors (originating) from the same time period. While the aesthetics of the classic precursors emerge through the minimal, deep, dark architecture of June's music, Silver Demon prevails with the artist's characteristic originality. More

A set of minimal synth recordings, captured live with in-studio performance. These pieces are a tribute to the golden era of electronic music that mainly emerged in Europe between 1978-1984 and is often described as minimal electronics, synthpop, synthwave etc. Sinister melodies, shadows and frost making up a haunting, dystopian sonic environment. Drum machines driving step sequencers and mono-synths, hand played polyphonic synthesisers, all enveloped by the industrial sound of the spring reverb. He only feels night within.

Cosmic Club 17’s in the house, and for this one Skylax have delved deep into the mystic universe of the ultra prolific photonz with a four track EP quite simply out of this dimension ! Photonz is the artist name of Marco Rodrigues, a London-based DJ and producer who's been championing the new sound of Portuguese house and techno worldwide since the early 2000s. He has done tracks for various labels such as crème organization, unknown to the unknown, hot haus, the "cult" dissident and many more. His first cut "memories of burma" that gave the title to the ep is an infinite groove that builds and builds with arabic synths, a perfect crossover between balearic & old school jackin house. "Baronrevxp" & "agape" moves into the same territories with some sharp clap, hi hats and some big retro vintage sounds. While "stealth predator" catches him at his most experimental, upping the tempo and unleashing an ambitious techno juke roller, think about drexcya, 1990s techno, Plink Plonk and you're not even close ! Photonz music sounds extremely big for the big rooms, and still very large indeed for the smaller ones. His music is praised by The Chemical Brothers, Jackmaster, Optimo, Ivan Smagghe, Daniel Avery, James Holden, Ewan Pearson, Auntie Flo, Tim Sweeney, just to name a few. ”Memories of Burma” EP is not just a cosmic experience, but a voyage into the realms of a producer in a world of his own. Must have. Essential item. SKYLAX RECORDS 4 EVER !

Cosmic Club 16 in the house, and for this one Skylax have delved deep into the mystic Cosmic Club 16 in the house, and for this one Skylax have delved deep into the mystic universe of the ever enigmatic Violence FM with a four track EP quite simply out of this dimension… Etoiles EP is an inconceivable work of art from Violence FM that will leave listeners stargazing for more, not to mention an extraterrestrial remix of Chez Damier's 'El Fin Esta Cerca' on the flip.Title track Etoile does the damage on the A Side, with a vocal (A1) & instrumental (A2). Lofty kick drums and enchanting synths bring this classic track right up to date, with the heavenly vocal harmonised seamlessly on top for a truly otherworldly experience - this is a must for anyone looking to get celestial with their DJ sets. We can already see early morning dance floors in the future raising their hands to these killer joints Violence FM further demonstrates his remixing ability on the flip, with Etoile Urban Mix (A3). A pitched down and even more intriguing edit of the work done on the title track. Intelligently layered synths guide you through a hypnotising drum rhythm as the complexity and attention to detail Violence FM puts into his production is perfectly exhibited. Scattered vocal snippets further add to the mystique of this exceptional remix. Rounding off the EP comes a another wonderful track in the presence of the great Chez Damier, “El Fin Esta Cerca vers la lumiere”. Violence FM (B) has upped the tempo up with this one but maintains and surpasses all elements of cosmic. Heavy Latin percussion drives a track that evokes multiple emotions, as it journies into new boundaries far outside the norm with a range of eerie samples and provocative melodies. Etoiles EP is not just a cosmic experience, but a voyage into the realms of a producer in a world of his own.

Hailing from Berlin, but spiritually from Chi-town, Snuff Crew are back in your area with some freshly served up basement goodies once again. Following on from Basement Jams #1, from all the way back in 2011, the boys bring us tracks with the same playful nature as before but, dare I say it, they go even harder this time. Stalwart fans of the first release can stop reading now because it will almost certainly be a blind-buy for you; four tracks obviously engineered for use in the club, whether its the massive kick in ‘What It Is’ or the ravey acid lead in ‘88cents’. The jams on the B-side may do the most damage. ‘Remember’ holds absolutely nothing back, with its arpeggiated bassline lead and crisper than crisp 909 drum programming. Analog is a term that gets bandied about all the time nowadays, ever since so many young producers became enamoured with tape compression and hiss delay plug-ins. I know Snuff Crew are real analog guys though, in sound and mentality, so hearing Basement Jams #2 for the first time had me so excited once again.

COSMIC CLUB is SKYLAX Sub – label. For this 13th release, we give you the opportunity to grab 4 fantastic trax done by one of today’s hotest producer : JOE DRIVE. Here you will find something really rare these days : some intelligent house & techno. “1997” opens with an atmospheric dark & mysterious groove we fell in love with as if the track was completly suspended in the air. Followed by the monstruous “BLACK SHADES” that will bring your feets down to earth to start dancing to the sound of these incredible heavy melodies. On the flipside we have 2 other crazy tracks. It first start first with “NUT” which means night in the ancient egyptian religion, Nut was the goddess of the sky and indeed we feel completely immersed into the night all along the track. To end “MAAT”, a deep house track in the pure moodymann tradition to close the circle. To add maat is again in old egyptian the story of how the world began. To be true we really think that if cosmic music has a sense today, it should be done like this. Joe drive’s sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and acid. However, he does not just do a copy & paste of the past, he’s bringing something really fresh & new to those old sound. This 12 inch is wonderfull & already timeless for us. On this evidence, Joe Drive is clearly one to watch.

For this 11th release, we give you the opportunity to grab 3 fantastic trax done by today’s hottest producers : Massimiliano Pagliara & Rotciv. Massimiliano P. has been responsible of delivering some of the best electronic tracks in those recent years on great labels such as Balihu, Rush Hour, Live at robert Johnson & Needwant. He teamed up for this special release with Rotciv (from Brazil) who made a name for himself with his special edits & has a very busy year with some upcoming 12 inches on D-Edge, Mister Mistery & Rebirth. Their name is The RIMSHOOTERS present “Tha Jackin’ Theory” !!!
Heavily inspired by Roland 909 chicago mythic drum machine, those guys deliver here 3 anthems, very close in spirit to Tensnake & Lee Foss best work.. Their sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and 80’s R&B. With ingredients like ancient drum machines, arpeggiated melodies, and 80’s pads, their connection boils over with a certain cheekiness that makes listeners grin from ear to ear. Those 3 tracks have lots of groove and solid bouncy Disco House beats and that piano (mmmhhh !!!). Vocals aren't the main event here but they do add another level showing some true Disco production skills. This is surely going to be one of the biggest release this year & yep, you read right - this is only their FIRST installment! Stay tuned.
