Mark Du Mosch - Too Much
Mark Du Mosch is a master of electronics. Gracing a glut of labels in a career spanning more than a decade, he arrives at Schrödinger’s Box with a very special release. Presence is a fiver tracker of enviable quality. Set in the canon of warm techno, Du Mosch focuses on melody and texture. “Studio M Uno” is bright and unassuming, “Koriander” both assured and fragile. The tracks on offer feel like the musical accompaniment to a Summer’s day, a time where cares are in the present and future worries do not exist. The unseen complexities of the everyday are an audio focus, the intertwined interplay of drum patterns in “Mrk I Utilities” and the mechanical dawn of the title piece throb with a human pulse. Always present, but never imposed, is the techno composition that brought this dutchman to the attention of so many. This is plain to hear in the diverse threads that are collected to produce the rich and varied closer, “Too Much.”

mark du mosch - The Heavens
Never underestimate the power of a good bassline. Mark du Mosch certainly doesn’t. This veteran from the harbor city of Rotterdam let’s his vicious bass line creep up on you from behind on 202 AC Ra. A dark and jacking club belter with clear Chicago roots. The five track EP The Heavens may be his debut on SoHaSo, Du Mosch has been releasing music for over fourteen years on a variety of respected underground labels, such as Moustache, Dekmantel and Royal Oak. His versatile style draws on sounds that evoke strong mental imagery and a sense of eternity, which clearly shows on the introspective Resonance Delay (She) on the B-side. In which a melancholic melody is supported by muffled slow motion beats. The beautiful artwork on The Heavens EP is by Joost Stokhof, an Amsterdam based graphic designer who is known for his love for detail. Which makes him perfectly suited for Du Mosch’ subtle and well crafted dance tunes. In a normal world you would open your EP with the title track. Du Mosch chooses to close with it. The Heavens stays true to it’s name. A harp like melody that washes ashore as foam from a greyblue Northsea that calmed down after the storm. Heaven indeed.

Mark du Mosch delivers an absolute techno belter! Follow up on the superb debut album "Salmiak" featuring trippy, long and deep techno with "Sanctuary", a dancefloor-cracking-remix by Syncom Data of the mad acid-rave of "Cold Sweat" and the lovely melancholy disco-ish house soundtrack which is "Loss". Another killer EP by Mark du Mosch.

Astonishing album by Mark du Mosch, who delivers his first full length album on Syncom Data Records and it's quite simply overwhelming. In a true Detroit fashion Mark du Mosch rides that fine line between techno, house and disco. That line which guides you to the dancefloor as well as a higher musical and emotional level. With ''Salmiak'' Mark du Mosch shows he's not only a great DJ, but one of Hollands finest producers as well. Absolute techno house killer bomb. Don't sleep on it.

2014. The dark and cold winter above the north of Rotterdam was the inspiration for a new and exciting collaboration between best friends: Taras van de Voorde and David Vunk. This resulted in the top hit - Need you tonight - this A1 killer tune a la Aril Brikha's Art of Vengeance: Groove la Chord is a brilliant 2014 diamont techno house underground mainstage track. Expect original TR 909 drum programming, Roland Jupiter 8 Synth Chords... an insane deep party break with 20 hz low Bass, topped off with some jazzy funky steps. Feared in Rotterdam and its suburbs and already played by Laurent Garnier! B1 is Need you tonight in the Alden Tyrell Remix... super dark building up power mono techno track... Berlin/london/rotterdam style. B2 is made by the legendary ROD ... a deep techno track with great groove perfect dj tool. Yeah looks like this record is made by longtime friends, a real Rotterdams product with underground love from rotterdam... of course on David Vunk's Cul t recordlabel Moustache Records, here it is MTECHS 003!

Moustache Techno is a new techno house orientated sublabel Moustache Records. And is there a better way to start with a release by de Gesloten Cirkel that took everyone by surprice last year with the great Murdercapital twelve! Mtechs001 delivers dancefloor shattering bass that will drive your party wild with sounds coming from crowded subways of Moscow, dirty Korean discos and mythic Chicago basements. Hypnotic, Raw and direct machine funk that reminds a bit of early Bunker releases of Unit Moebius. Recommended
