Soon after moving to Berlin in 2007, Steffi joined Ostgut, becoming a resident at Panorama Bar and releasing on the club's label. To date she's released five albums, including two solo for Ostgut Ton, a co-production with Virginia, another with Analogue Cops as Third Side and a collaboration as Doms & Deykers on Martyn's 3024 label. Her impressive discography features club classics like “ Yours feat. Virginia” , carefully chosen remixes and appearances on labels including Permanent Vacation, Underground Quality and mixes for Panorama Bar and fabric. She owns and operates four labels: Klakson (with Dexter), Dolly, Dolly Deluxe and Dolly Dubs. World Of The Waking State is Steffi's third solo album for Ostgut Ton and a musical departure for both her and the label. It's also a serious statement of intent. Over ten tracks she embarks on entirely new electronic terrain for her productions, marking industrial spaces with superlunary warmth while exercising a refined knowledge of polyphony and arrangement. Subdued melodies interact with each other over implied harmonies and microcosmic drum patterns, luring us into a world that is introverted, bewildering and gratifying all at once.

Having just premiered her first ever live set at various festivals Steffi revisits her Power Of Anonymity album with three completely new versions of "JBW25" by Further Reductions and Answer Code Request. Brooklyn-based duo Further Reductions left a big impression on Steffi with their 2014 Woodwork LP on Cititrax. Now Shawn O'Sullivan and Katie Rose turned "JBW25" upside down and inside out. The original version's hypnotic synth bleeps are still there, but rhythm-wise Further Reductions live up to their name: Their version is a stone-cold and arhythmic interpretation of "JBW25" with additional vocals, pushed to the absolute fringes of dancefloor compatibility. Berghain resident Answer Code Request contributes two versions to this release: While his "Vision" adds a tough drum beat, percussion and a stronger focus on the Ambient textures of the original, his "Revision" is more break-heavy, melodic and dreamy while setting a darker tone and mood overall. With the original version and its Techno and Electro drive this 12" comes full circle – a good fit for record bags travelling to various party settings and moods.

Following up on Power Of Anonymity Steffi releases an EP with three versions of Treasure Seeking featuring Dexter and Virginia on Ostgut Ton. When Steffi's second album Power Of Anonymity was released in late November 2014, the Dexter-co-produced cut "Treasure Seeking" was the record's standout track: uplifting, percussion-driven and featuring Virginia's seductive vocals. For the Treasure Seeking 12", besides the original version spread over the full length of the 45rpm A-side, Steffi, Virginia and Dexter went back to the drawing board, reflecting on the album's overall Electro sound aesthetic. While the new "130 BPM Version" puts strong emphasis on filled club floors with twirling synth stabs and a continuous, uptempo rhythm, the "Diep Version" starts off with heavy claps and a pulsing bassline until a set of soothing strings starts altering the overall mood – from a dark space towards the light.

Underground Quality boss Jus Ed is beginning 2017 in fine fettle, with Transition - his first album since 2014 - heading up a spate of vinyl releases. The triple-vinyl set is full of evocative, immaculately produced deep house treats, from the Alton Miller style intricacy of "The Loop 222 Bodin Strasse" and shuffling, yearning "The Day Prince Died", to the rich bass and dancing drum machine hits of "Medellin My New Grooveland" (inspired, apparently, by a recent trip to Colombia), and the low-slung, Motor City grooves of "Sci-Fi Connection". Best of all, though, is the rushing positivity of "Spring is Near", where intertwining synth lines bubble away over a fizzing, techno-influenced rhythm track.
