After Oliver's and Fran's track "Echoes" already received the full remix treatment it is now the slow jazzy trip-hop ballad "I Might" that gets cured for the dancefloor. First up Murat Kilic takes the original and transforms it into a fast-paced grooving tech-house monster that cuts up the vocal to a rhythmic piece of percussion that jumps nicely in tune with the great punchy synth. This tune is deep, fast and for the floor. We can see the floor shuffling to this already. Then, the Swiss producers Animal Trainer who keep the jazzy ethos and vibe of the original while still creating something new to groove to. Some very natural and organic drumming underlines the deep piano parts that are clearly inspired by the original. Add some house beats on top and here it is: a musical dancefloor pusher. Besides the original track there is also one more track on this EP: a remix of the equally jazzy ballad "Strandbar Berlin" by Björn Störig, who happens to be the drummer of Oliver's live band "The Koletzkis". He has created a wonderfully smooth deeply moving house track that catapults "Strandbar Berlin" onto the dancefloor. The second installment of album remixes is fit and ready for the floor!

The producer and DJ Oliver Koletzki and singer Fran are still firmly riding on the fast track to glorious pop music. After the first single "Arrow and Bow" of their new album "Lovestoned" they now release "Echoes", both as a maxi single with four different remixes and a vinyl edition that includes three of the remixes. But let's start with the original, which is easily one of the strongest and most powerful songs of the album. It is here where Koletzki's background as a producer of house and techno meets with Fran's ability to create divine lyrics and perform them with her unmistakable voice. With it's groovy loop, some softly floating pianos and great musical synthesisers the track reminds of pop tracks by the likes of Mia or Morcheeba. A sure hit, for the dancefloor, the living room and the radio station! Oliver himself starts the remix session and turns "Echoes" into a softly clicking understated piece of tech-house that evolves with every added sound from the original. The track is like a breathing organism that delicately speaks with Fran's voice and slowly moves towards a blissful breakdown that includes chirping birds and piano magic. DFA-artist and Frenchman Kris Menace is up next and he ups the level a notch creating a glitchy pop anthem purely meant for dancing under the disco ball. The reverbed 80ies arpeggiated synthesizers that dominate this remix surely set it into a sweaty disco-type scenario some decades ago. Beautiful! Switch back to today's club setting with Stil vor Talent's goldfinger Niko Schwind who takes some of the best parts of the original vocal and bassline and adds some surrounding percussions and effects. By adding some strings to the vocal on the breakdown, he manages to create an eery moment that is juxtaposed by the pure beauty of the rest of this techy remix. Up last is Hamburg-based house don Solomun who drops a fat acidy bassline onto the sweet vocal and perfectly manages to have everyone going wild while at the same time hugging each other. Add some typical empathic strings and this is the ideal sundownder track. And, Solomun, like all of the remixers seems to be very much in love with Fran's vocal. And to be honest, we can't get enough it ourselves.

Lovestoned! Finally here it comes: the eagerly anticipated follow-up album of DJ und producer Oliver Koletzki, set for release in September this year. After the success of "Großstadtmärchen" Oliver Koletzki has teamed up with singer Fran, voice of the über-successful single "Hypnotized", to record an 11-track electronic pop album. Fran and Oliver are not merely partners in crime when it comes to music - they are also lovestoned, glued together by their mutual love for music and their love for each other. A fact that is omnipresent on their new album: eleven songs about getting to know each other, eleven songs about spending time together, eleven songs about the first kiss, eleven songs about the wonder that is love! Muscially, "Lovestoned" is a journey through Fran's and Oliver's different influences: from sample-based house to synthie-pop, from late 70ies glam to late 90ies ambient in the style of Bonobo and on top this album also includes some nuggets of Jazz. The impeccable songwriting, the feeling for the right dose of pop anthems, Fran's pure voice in English and German elevate Fran's and Oliver's music to a new height. But let's start dipping into it: Things get going straight away with the summery 70ies-inspired glam-pop track "Lovestoned", a smooth funk-riden piece with shimmery guitars and funky slap bass guitars. This intro track brings the message of the album to the point: freshly in love, honey-dipped, sugar-like and skyscraper-high. That unique feeling of being freshly in love! The journey into happiness continues with the first single release "Arrow and Bow" that reminisces 80ies pop sounds: synthesizers that cause goose bumps, clap snares that will move heads and toes and of course, Fran's beautiful voice that reminds us of the wonderful game of getting to know each other. But love can also be about sensitive feelings, something that becomes clear on "Echoes", one of the strongest tracks of the album. This is where Koletzki's background as a producer of house and techno meet with Fran's ability to create divine lyrics and perform them with her unmistakable voice. With it's groovy loop and some softly floating pianos and synthesisers the track reminds of pop tracks by the likes of Mia. or Morcheeba. "<3" - in our world of Facebook & co. this has become the universal sign for love. The track behind this symbol is a Balearic pop song about the love of one person for another that is not yet mutual. A longing feeling for response underlines the atmosphere of this wonderfully hypnotic track. On "Strandbar Berlin" and "I Might" Oliver and Fran present us their musical finesse and diversity. Oliver's piano melodies and the jazzy live appeal of the songs set another level for their music while both songs are totally different in their feel and sound: "I Might" is a melancholic song about the love blues while "Strandbar Berlin" is as happy as happy goes. Of course, Oliver Koletzki has also recorded one purely instrumental for this album: "Hollywood Boulevard" is a funky piece of thumping percussion house music. This is Oliver Koletzki for the floor: samples mix with synthesisers and result in a very musical piece of house music. "Kissenschlacht" is the ultimate holiday song that was created when Oliver and Fran went on their first holiday together: sunshine, freedom and happiness. But it wouldn't be an Oliver Koletzki album, if there weren't more class A pop hits on "Lovestoned": "Fingertips", "Smile", "It's a Pleasure to Meet You" - three very catchy pop songs that are yet very different in their musical style. While "Fingertips" is an electrified housy pop song, "Smile" is a pastiche on DJ culture set in a kitschy late 70ies disco scenery, where the girls admire the DJ and everybody has a smile on their face. Then, "It's a pleasure to Meet You" starts where the party ends and the next party begins. This funky piece of synth-pop tells the story of the insecurities of the first meet. Where it's going to end? Nobody knows for sure. Oliver Koletzki's and Fran's "Lovestoned" is a very complete artist album that speaks both in the language of pop and the language of love. It is filled with catchy pop hits reflecting the fresh love of the protagonists behind it. While being a very personal album, it is also not, because everybody knows about the universal power of love. This is an authentic love song, a danceable pas de deux that has one message: love is fun!
The first single release comes with one more track from the eagerly anticipated album by Oliver and Fran: "Strandbar", which translates as beach bar. Oliver modified this song that always unites everyone when performed live and has created an airy acoustic version with a guitar and a piano. It almost sounds like chansons from the 1930s - in a very good way. Lyrically, this song is the ultimate summer anthem. Fran sings about the summer like we all love it: biking it through the city, feeling the fresh breeze on the hot skin, breathing in the flowery summer air, skinny-dipping into the lake. And of course, this is best done with somebody alongside you. Because this is what holds Oliver's and Fran's songs together: a mutual love for music, and for each other. The single comes with three extra versions of the original track and Oliver has really managed to convince some of the hottest names in house and techno to remix this first single. Man of the moment Marek Hemann has turned the track into a deeply romantic house affair. Keeping some of the best parts of the vocal but colouring them with some beautifully melodic synthesizer patterns makes "Arrow and Bow" fit for the educated dancefloor and ready for summery house music action. Purely wonderful! Then, Stil vor Talent's very own Channel X have taken a more minimal approach transforming the poppy original into a grooving and pumping piece of tech-house. Filled with effects and one of the purest breakdowns this track keeps bouncing right through until the end. This is killer - no filler. Of course, Oliver Koletzki himself has taken the original to produce a club remix. And this track combines Oliver's ability of songwriting with his skills and perceptions of a DJ. The superb mix of steady house grooves and piano melodies juxtaposed with snippets of the original vocals make this track highly ready for any kind of dancefloor.
This record is the perfect appetiser for the album. Summery, happy and jolly and yet very much made for the dancefloor. We can't wait for "Lovestoned".

The Berlin-based techno and house producer and DJ Oliver Koletzki has fully committed himself to his roots for this album. They can be traced back to pop music of the 80ies and 90ies, while his productions still manage to transport the fresh energy of today's electronic music productions. "Großstadtmärchen" is a perfect example for a producer's album: Oliver Koletzki has created a musically compact long player while working together with many different singers. Both established artists like Mieze Katz from the German electro-pop outfit MIA., the hot German pop-rock-singer Axel Bosse, critically acclaimed indie band Kate Mosh as well as newcomers such as Fran, Pyur and Juli Holz have contributed to the album. The result are ten songs that easily fluctuate between catchy pop tracks, modern house grooves and 80ies synthesizer pop yet still maintaining a very own Koletzkieske sound dynamic.

"Großstadtmärchen", which translates as "The tale of the big city" starts off with "THIS IS LEISURE". Famous pop singer Mieze Katz has put down her sexy voice on a guitar-based song pattern that functions as an ideal introduction into the craziness of the big city tales. After hearing this, the listener is directly fully drawn into this world when hearing Juli Holz's softly whispering voice singing about the dilemmas of love in the big city on "ZUCKERWATTE" (Single release date: 7.9.09). This is a very fine electro-pop tune. Coming up next Oliver Koletzki and Axel Bosse board an underground train that takes them around the Berlin U-Bahn system and back. Axel Bosse, who has had a massive success with his song "3 Millionen" adds his melancholic voice to this groovy pop anthem and sings about the poetic magic of public transport, while we hear the sounds of the trains on top. Of course, Oliver Koletzki has added some purely instrumental tracks on his album, too: "KUSSKOMPATIBEL" and "WARSCHAUER STRASSE" are a journey back to Oliver's first years in Berlin and his love for house music. "KLEINES ZWISCHENSPIEL" also celebrates the energetic sound of electronic music. Then there is another great shine of bright light with the pop track "HYPNOTIZED" that is already making airwaves on German radio. It features the newcomer singer Fran that turns this track into a wonderful electronic love story. In her beautiful crystal clear voice Fran tells the story of those moments during the night that decide where it's going to end: a song about love, passion and the energy between male and female, a catchy pop anthem about the first dance, the first kiss and that special moment when the night turns into day. Oliver has equipped this song with a wonderful piano melody and a very smooth and poppy electronic beat. Actually it sounds like Fran and Oliver have never been doing anything else than produce wonderfully fresh pop songs together.

The tale of the city carries on with a very appealing mixture of indie rock and electronic music. "HEADSHAPED BOX" encapsulates what Indietronic sounds like in the year 2009: symphonic, melodic and simply unique. On "THESE HABITS" the just seventeen-year-old singer Pyur makes her debut. This down-beat triphop-groove is a wonderful hit for the late summer. Last up is a bonus track: Oliver Koletzki remixes "NIMM MICH MIT" by the electronic boy-band Die Raketen.

"Großstadtmärchen": This title is chosen for a reason. The story behind Oliver Koletzki is also a magical tale of believing in yourself. Since he is 12 years old, Oliver makes music, by himself or in bands: it is the love for the energy of soundwaves that makes him work hard on himself. In 2005 Oliver Koletzki celebrates the big breakthrough by releasing his hit "Mückenschwarm" on the label of techno grand daddy Sven Väth Cocoon Records. It becomes not only the biggest tune of the year, but also the best selling single on Cocoon Records ever. With this success in mind, Oliver directly realises his dream of starting his own label to promote newcomers. Stil vor Talent also becomes the platform for the release of his first album "Get Wasted" in 2007. One year later, Oliver proves his intuition for pop music when he signs the track "3 Tage Wach" by Lützenkirchen. He makes a low-budget-video for the track that gets an astronomically large half a million views on YouTube within the first three weeks. At least from here it is obvious: Oliver Koletzki is not your average techno producer. His productions and his sense for orginal music also have a deep rooting within pop culture. Thus "Großstadtmärchen" is the logical consequence from two decades of intense musical production: here comes a mature, yet still playful pop album that manages to combine many different influences into one harmonious oeuvre. It shows just how close the dancefloor and pop music really always were, and still are.

With 'Trip to Sanity,' Berlin-based producer, DJ, live performer, and Stil vor Talent label head Oliver Koletzki presents a milestone in his 36-year long musical career and his 18-year tenure at the top of global electronic nightlife – his 10th studio album.

The album’s title, "Trip to Sanity’" – a reference to the classic German children’s story of the little dragon 'Tabaluga' – reflects Oliver's own path as a DJ within the world of club culture. But it also represents the appeal to an unbroken childlike curiosity as a producer, driven by the utopias of this parallel society. Naturally, Koletzki found his creative spark while performing on the stages of renowned festivals like Burning Man, Coachella, Garbicz, and Fusion, as well as in moments of peace and relaxation on meditative hikes and long beach walks in his second home of Cape Town.

In South Africa, Oliver wrote most of "Trip to Sanity" in the winter, then flashed out and finalised the tracks in his studio at Kreuzberg's Holzmarkt. Within the last 18 months a collection of complex and varied songs formed, which, typical for Oliver's collaborative approach, were often created in cooperation with musicians like techno-pop legend Fritz Kalkbrenner, Burning Man chance encounter Talmirage, scene friends Andhim, Hidden Empire, Oliver Klostermann and Niko Schwind, or the exceptional voices Natascha Polké, Malou, LOLY and Marlena Dae. The result is a rollercoaster ride through a diverse spectrum of dance music, effortlessly held together by Koletzki's unmistakable sound signature and his intrinsic sense for the exact tension between hedonistic dancefloor focus and poppy earworm impact. At the centre of it all shines a joie de vivre that runs like a thread through "Trip to Sanity": Playful, cheeky, imaginative, euphoric, a rainbow of genres and influences flow into each other, balanced by moments of reflection, melancholy or harshness.

The journey of discovery begins with the funky piano licks of "Oliver's Silly Jam," seamlessly followed by the disco groover "Get on the Bus." The radio single "Stay Until the Light" (feat. Niko Schwind & Talmirage) then combines pop vocals with deep emotions before Koletzki, alongside his superfriends Andhim, kicks it up a notch on the Afro-house masterclass "Branka." Next up, Fritz Kalkbrenner lends his unmistakable voice to the atmospheric anthem "Heart on Hold," paving the way for "Mind Games." Here, Natascha Polké's ethereal vocals glide over an almost haunting instrumental, heading towards the night.

At the album’s midpoint Koletzki breaks away from the expectations of the typical "techno blueprint" in a formal sense. Starting with the prophetically titled "My Last Attempt," a deep and muscular downtempo workout, Oliver creates a (further) homage to incredibly long nights with "Sonne Geht Auf" (feat. LOLY) and shows a completely different side of himself on the neon-infused dub track "Midnight Reggae." This segment of strong contrasts and a desire for reinvention is rounded off by the dreamy indie-dance atmosphere of "Is It Real" (feat. Malou), slowly leading us back to the club.

Because "The Pleasure of the Very First Time," "Candyflip," "Space Papi," "Elevation" (feat. Hidden Empire), and "Mantra for Bora" are clearly designed for the peak time, which is where Oliver predominantly finds himself during his sets. This part of the album is powerful, driving, and ecstatic – it captures the sweat of the dancefloor and the pulsation of the strobe light, making it tangible while listening.

Moving into Afro-infused house grounds, "Modesty" finds Branko and Niklas heading for the deeper end of the spectrum, as they pull out a clinically precise blender of rattling percussions, opaque incantations, lush synth swashes and verbed-out machine talk, tailored for nightly boogie rituals in the forest. "Avalanche" opts for a more brooding, deadlier approach. Featuring Felix Raphael on vocals, "Who We Are", is a pop-influenced chugger that perhaps best defines Hidden Empire's ambivalent style, both hi-NRG and innervated with a melancholy that infuses down to the bass and most functional elements. Following up to his maiden transmission for the label, "Cosmic Silence", issued a year ago, Italian producer Alessandro Cozzolino AKA Cioz resurfaces on Stil vor Talent with his longed-for debut album "Supermassive Whole" - a ten-track cosmic odyssey in sound percolating staple elements of Cioz's palette of choice, from otherworldly techno to Latin-inflected house, via the obvious injection of kosmische and electronica soundscaping.

The lead single "Wachaka" - recorded in collaboration with Cape Town producer Ryan Murgatroyd, exemplifies Cozzolino's electrifying approach to a T. An inch-perfectly balanced mix of Afro-infused polyrhythmic bravura and seesawing synth moves, the track swells with a blazing fire at heart that keeps on sprawling infectiously with each and every bar. Trading the linear buildup for most sensuous levels of syncopation, "Me Monkey" serves up a warmer kind of funk, perfect for getting snug and cozy before an avalanche of seesawing chords up the ante towards space-opera-esque amplitude. All in elusive sinuosity and processed machine talk, "Harakat" dwells the confines of wonky house templates and polyamorous EBM, while "I Always Wanted To..." goes the slo-burning, counterclockwise route, primed for languid moments in the alcove.

"B1" is perhaps the most spitting avatar of the Italian whiz's hybrid rolling-and-pounding rhythmic style, nicely embodying both its quirky, hip-swaying and fanfare-like percussive aspects. The ecstatically bouncy "Do It The Way You Feel" showcases Cioz's more rousing, floor-friendly facet with a killer combo of hi-octane electro dynamics, pop-rock motif'd hooks and slashing breaks taking the controls. The mood also happens to be melancholic at times, such as on the beautifully understated "Is This Real", which bridges the gap betwixt piano-house déjà-vu - here tweaked to distinctively soul-wrenching effect, and a prog buildup glossed under a thick sauce of FX, similar to that of "Sudpol Birgit"'s inflating saturation in the post-prod treatment. Somewhat brushed with balearic shades in mind, "Pace e Amore" follows a more classic curve, slowly veering off onto ambient-laced territories, while "Lost in Space" evokes a certain idea of gravity-defying plenitude through that ever intuitive and subtly arranged collage of tender wistfulness and endless attraction towards the groove, which defines Cozzolino's phraseology so fittingly.

Bridging the club universe with that of deeper, further immersive off-floor narratives, Kadosh entices us down a compelling path of rhythmic enlightenment and all-embracing togetherness. Casting mutable strains of EBM, house, pop and exotica entangled in one dizzying polyphony throughout the album, the Israeli vibist has us surfing our way across his musical headspace effortlessly.

From the stealth, neo-noir-like opening sequence of "Interstellar" feat. Marc Piñol to the epic Luso-Italo vibrations of "Sandcastles" feat. vocal hoodooist Abra~o, via the exquisite Afro-informed piano house and all-round atmospheric luxuriance of "My Mind" feat. Floyd Lavine and Erika Krall's supremely smooth yet characterful timbre, Kadosh swings the pendulum with constant surprise and bravura. Aside from his compositions' obvious hooking nature, there's also great lots of textural back funk to dive in at every corner. Hauntingly transporting, "From Jaffa to Frederichshain" feat. Upon You's Marco Resmann works a more jagged programming, flush with big-room reverbs and muted drums, while the slo-evolving "Pronto" feat. Emanuel Satie morphs from a low-key DJ tool into a full-fledged, melancholy-charged peak-time burner.

Bearing both Kadosh and David Mayer's signature, "1999" lets the 80s-inherited arsenal of iridescent Casio synths and lashing percussions talk in unhindered fashion, whereas "Volantage" feat. Murat Uncuoglu goes all in on the trampling kicks, sooty claps and prismatic keyboard stabs. Sensual to the fullest, "Moran" in collaboration with Rodriguez Jr. is certainly one of the album's highlights with its impeccably laid-down melange of bassy thunder and shapely Latin rhythmic backbone ushering us down an irresistibly poignant and hypnotic tunnel of sound. A joint effort with Locked Groove, "Far Too Close" is a further loopy discoid affair reminiscent of the French filtered-house scene's heyday, while the album's closer "Think it Over" feat. On 'Made of Wood', his ninth full-length album since 2007, Oliver Koletzki embodies the seasoned craftsman, carving out his deeply personal sonic sculptures with a confident, learned hand, while experimenting with a broad range of thrilling ideas and fresh textures. The result is an organically flowing, yet decisively shaped work of art, that naturally concludes a trilogy of albums Koletzki embarked on releasing with 'The Arc of Tension' and followed with 'Fire in the Jungle'.

Initially written in Tulum, Mexico, during the pre-pandemic winter of 2019, 'Made of Wood' is physically entwined with the primeval forests that continue to inspire its maker: In the subsequent year it took to complete the album in Berlin, Oliver, aided by numerous live musicians and vocalists, brought his sketches to life with a focus on wooden instruments like djembes, marimbas, santoors or duduks, sculpting a natural sound that's warm in timbre, rich in groove and literally made of wood.

Thanks to the imperfection of the human hand, the album sings with a bold vibrance that stretches from the LP's slow carnivalesque opener 'Caravana De Los Elefantitos' to the blue horns and Wennink's lamenting coos on the concluding ballad 'Turn'. Intermediately, Koletzki's rhythmic explorations take the shape of mythic odes ('Dear Mexican Jungle'), boisterous tribal dances ('La Veleta'), floor-focussed shakers ('Copal'), handpan-driven epics ('Cryptozoology' feat. Walter Scalzone) or subdued oriental belters ('Serpiente Del Ritmo' feat. ELIH) – emphasising his control over light and dark tonalities, over organic and synthetic sounds alike. Most strikingly, Oliver slowly breaks away from the album's natural feel in the mid-section, in which the disorienting, abstract stunner 'Picture' (with Niko Schwind & Judith Ahrends) rubs shoulders with the synth-crescendos of the bouncy 'Made of Cashmere', while the 14-minute long meditation 'A Starseed's Journey' makes for a powerful penultimate breather later on.

Next to the meticulous attention to instrumentation and his instinctive touch, these twists and turns underline that Koletzki feels entirely at ease on 'Made of Wood' – like the true artisan he is.

With sounds as diverse as the stamps collected in Koletzki’s passport over the past 18 months, ‘Fire in the Jungle’ is a statement in itself: complex, verdant, the product of years of growth.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki’s main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver’s heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg’s wall paintings adorn Stil Vor Talent ’s cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven’t brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 10th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.

Giorgia Angiuli's debut album Pink Bubble channels the artist's effervescent persona and own bubbly style in a 12 track-long, honest musical expression. Drawing inspiration from her first worldwide tour, where life on the road was impacted by personal loss, the album title Pink Bubble captures the essence of the artist's mindset, caught in between the artistic world and real life: "I felt like in a pink bubble, between memories and new experiences, between darkness and colours". Brandishing an immersive sonic sphere, the classically trained musician played and recorded all instruments throughout the album, including her favourite weapons of choice, from her beloved 60's guitar to vintage analog synths like the Moog Sub37, Juno 106, the infamous O-B-6 synth and more.

The synesthesia of dark and colourful with new and old memories stands at the core of the album, as introspective airy tracks intertwine with more dynamic, bass-heavy constructions.

On its luminous side, we see cuts radiating with crystalline, microscoping sounds with sweeping ambience like the opener A Perfect Day in Tulum, leading the listener on a nervous path towards more obscure tracks such as Copenhagen and Nothing to Lose, until bringing the atmosphere to a boiling point. Music is Life encapsulates Giorgia's passion for her craft, an intrinsic part of her life that brings peace and inspiration: "Music is life with wings, sit in the warm water, just reflecting, being". Creation and being inspired represent another major theme present throughout the album, both in the eponymous track Inspiration, as well as A Temple Made by Air, where the artist can be heard singing: "Passion means satisfaction, wrong emotions create distortion, come with me to enjoy the green, stop losing time on your screen".
