Tokyo‘s rising star Ryo Murakami has already put his diverse, electronic sound on the map with the ‚Rise‘ EP on Dessous last year, and received great praise for his track ‚My Soul‘, snapped up by Steve Bug for the Fabric mix series, which was piled high with atmosphere and dark, club energy. His next 12“ includes two new tracks, the title cut being ‚Down The Sky‘, cooly influenced by old school house, but also more recent European forays into night music. Ryo demonstrates a heavy aptitude for stripped down futurism, with staccato, jilted beats, joined by layers of padded synth structures, looming somewhere between light and darkness. The merits of carefully weighing out your ingredients, leaving just the right level of detail; not too little, not too much, have clearly been explored by Ryo here. More to the point though, it’s a track that could string out time and create so much room to groove! Poker Flat‘s young Greek maestro, Argy, creates a stunning hi-tech remix of ‚Down The Sky,‘ complete with mesmeric dub influenced chord stabs and tripped out washes of delay. Once again carrying on the vibe of the original, but twisting it into an altogether different beast, Argy takes Ryo‘s warm synth stabs and shapes the remix into a slow paced yet pumping club tool. Deceivingly constant, it simply builds and builds, making a time stopping, truly hypnotic moment for the dancefloor and for the mind. The B side, ‚Coke‘ (no questions asked) welcomes another one of Ryo‘s extended journeys, this time a stronger, peak time groove which never lets off, and builds around layers of spaced out, pitching fx. Ryo Murakami is a fresh talent from Tokyo, Japan and after two releases on Asian Dynasty and Rebel One we just presented his exclusive track „My Soul“ on „Dessous‘ Best Kept Secrets“.Now „Rise“ is Ryo‘s first full release on Dessous. A percussive beat gently moves the rather reduced titletrack forward and an airy House chord nicely dances on the dark but deep tune.The Stockholm based duo Bangana who already released three albums as S.U.M.O. contributes a brilliant remix of Rise. The two only took very few sounds from the original and deliver a complete new rhythm and an almost completely new song.Their remix is simply a beautiful deep multilayeredmodern House track. Although the two use many instruments and changes, the track always stays focussed and will be a floorfiller for sure. Moodwise Ryo Murakami‘s second track „Monument“ is located somewhere between „Rise“ and it‘s Bangana remix. Still deep and dark, but with a more housey vibe.A brilliant debut by a promising talent!

Definition of Japanese deep electronic music, Pan records yet again compiled the various artist EP with full of surprises. As opposed to previous releases, ambient is the word to describe this forthcoming EP, not forgetting its deepness lies within. Sven Weisemann from Berlin is making his debut to Pan, showing much love for the label. Dynamic and elaborative wave of sounds, together makes continuous teasing build up throughout. He will be only the second non-Japanese artist to be appeared on this label. Imugem Orihasam provides A2 & B2 to Pan04. He is based in Hokkaido, famously known for their local club, Precious Hall. This rising Japanese producer yet again shows what he is capable of after his recent releases from Sistrum and New Kanada to name a few. A2 - Hellucination is really hypnotic enough to make you have illusory perception. Subtle progression of the track draws you into the world of deepness. B2 - Nek Noyujin is just perfect for closer, not only to this EP but however hectic the night might be. Illustrate his versatility in a best way possible. 3rd one to join the compilation is Ryo Murakami, the owner of pan records, alongside with DJ Pi-Ge. He showed the direction of the label with Pan00 & Pan01. This track makes you feel as if you are lost in the misty forest, natural sounding synth makes up the character of the track. He provided quality to this his yet again. These three makes a must have compilation, another one for your be loved record bag.

Long waited 4th EP from Japanese deep house force "pan records" is here. Unlike precious releases, this is volume 1 of its Various Artist sampler series. All 3 of them are scheduled to be released in 2012.
First track to open the series is "Flash Back" by Sai. This Japanese producer has been favored and debuted from Morris Audio in 2010. The track has dreamy and floating feel to start off with, later it gets more grove going with subtle vocal goes behind.
Stays musical yet feels minimal, A2 also kept the vibe from A1 and makes you stay in the dreamland. It is by only the non-Japanese artist on this wax, Dennis Uprock aka Resoe from Denmark. He is the owner of Baum Records and one half of the duo "Pattern Repeat" and this rather timeless track exactly demonstrated his years of experience in producing. "Future Progress", is true and honest to its name.
DJ Pi-Ge is one of the owner of the label along side of Ryo Murakami and Sisi. He provides a track with punchy synth and revered black man's vocal. Notably slow teasing build up from the beginning till the end, this is an interesting addition to the EP. Attention grabbing.
Last of all, "Rising Moon" is by Tokyo based artist Naoki Shinohara, previously released from XDB's Metrolux Music. This track can be described by strong hart beat like hi hats and soul filling melody. It's a perfect closer to this quality deep house EP from the land of rising sun.
