Baltimore legend Karizma flips “All I See,” stripping down the soulful vocal of Fawziyya Heart and supporting it with stomping drums and loopy harmonic elements and Mexican duo Sotomayor deliver a dub afro-latin take on the passionate song “Mother.” This 12” takes a deeply personal concept EP and beautifully re-envisions it for the floor.

OMRI.’s relationship with Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels imprint began last summer when he made his debut with ‘Nothing Wrong’, a record that quickly became one of the imprint’s defining releases of the season while being awarded Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1, and introduced his distinctive blend of understated yet driving dancefloor psychedelia to a wider audience. Returning to the label a year later, following a prolific run of recent releases on the likes of Hot Creations, TSZR, Higher Ground and AFFAIRS, plus his own burgeoning Collecting Dots Records imprint, his ‘Signals’ EP picks up where that breakthrough left off, while pushing deeper into his unmistakable sonic world. ‘Mouth' has long held cult status among deep house heads and vinyl diggers, the kind of record that circulates through crates and DJ bags on reputation alone. Iz & Diz's original is a masterclass in restraint — a hypnotic, bass-heavy groove that rewards patience and repeated listens, the sort of track that reveals new layers every time it hits a proper soundsystem. What elevated ‘Mouth' to legendary status, though, was the remix work attached to it — particularly the version credited here as "Brad Peep's Remix For Friends," widely known to be the work of Pepé Bradock. Originally cut as a limited, personal edit for friends rather than public release, it became one of those coveted, whispered-about pieces of house music folklore. Bradock's reworking is genuinely groundbreaking: warped, off-kilter, and deeply idiosyncratic, it reshaped the original into something stranger and more hypnotic, influencing a generation of deep house and outsider dance producers who followed in his footsteps. This reissue on Classic pairs the original and remix alongside a version originally held off the first pressing.
