OMRI.’s relationship with Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels imprint began last summer when he made his debut with ‘Nothing Wrong’, a record that quickly became one of the imprint’s defining releases of the season while being awarded Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1, and introduced his distinctive blend of understated yet driving dancefloor psychedelia to a wider audience. Returning to the label a year later, following a prolific run of recent releases on the likes of Hot Creations, TSZR, Higher Ground and AFFAIRS, plus his own burgeoning Collecting Dots Records imprint, his ‘Signals’ EP picks up where that breakthrough left off, while pushing deeper into his unmistakable sonic world. Opening the release, the title track ‘Signals’ is quintessential OMRI. throughout. Rolling low-end pressure, spiralling effects, and an infectious female vocal hook all combine to create a track that feels playful and hypnotic. Built with a light touch yet packed with personality, it showcases the instinctive groove-led approach that has become central to his rise. On the flip, The Space dives further into late-night territory, pairing punchy drums and a wicked bassline with warped, stuttering vocal fragments that drift in and out of focus. Meanwhile, Scenius closes the EP through crisp percussion, acid-dipped textures, and cleverly manipulated samples, steadily drawing listeners deeper into its hallucinatory atmosphere.

Side A features San Diego duo Cryptkeepers on a pair of enigmatically dubbed out grooves. Anaconga kicks off the split EP, punching through the dust baked into its own groove – pressurizing smokey rhythms into a dizzying smog. Wun Riddem dives deeper, driven by a rolling bassline and echoing tribal atmosphere that pull the listener further into the haze. ‘Mouth' has long held cult status among deep house heads and vinyl diggers, the kind of record that circulates through crates and DJ bags on reputation alone. Iz & Diz's original is a masterclass in restraint — a hypnotic, bass-heavy groove that rewards patience and repeated listens, the sort of track that reveals new layers every time it hits a proper soundsystem. What elevated ‘Mouth' to legendary status, though, was the remix work attached to it — particularly the version credited here as "Brad Peep's Remix For Friends," widely known to be the work of Pepé Bradock. Originally cut as a limited, personal edit for friends rather than public release, it became one of those coveted, whispered-about pieces of house music folklore. Bradock's reworking is genuinely groundbreaking: warped, off-kilter, and deeply idiosyncratic, it reshaped the original into something stranger and more hypnotic, influencing a generation of deep house and outsider dance producers who followed in his footsteps. This reissue on Classic pairs the original and remix alongside a version originally held off the first pressing.

Razor-N-Tape revisits Megatronic’s 2025 release ‘There’s Truth In Gospel’ with a diverse dance floor-focused package of remixes. Welcoming some new names into the RNT roster, Chicago-via-Amsterdam’s Jamie:326 and German-Nigerian JAMIIE both tackle “In Our Soul” with a pair of mixes that go respectively deep & soulful, and percussive & driving. Baltimore legend Karizma flips “All I See,” stripping down the soulful vocal of Fawziyya Heart and supporting it with stomping drums and loopy harmonic elements and Mexican duo Sotomayor deliver a dub afro-latin take on the passionate song “Mother.” This 12” takes a deeply personal concept EP and beautifully re-envisions it for the floor.
