Trinidadian Deep is back with yet another deeply rooted house vibes EP entitled “Dub Nasty” EP!

This powerful collection of three independent tracks starts with the title track, Dub Nasty a seriously deep house excursion with captivating harmonies sonics complimented with a guitar solo which washes over you as you loose yourself to the music.
Track 2 “Sonics and Steel Drums” think sun sea and beach as this one brings up the tempo induced with a groovy bass line and heavily played steel pans that immediately uplifts the vibes which progress into a Caribbean crescendo!!
Head to side b, where Trini brings it back to Native African roots to loose yourself on the dance floor with it’s layered percussion, deep stabs & chords, captivating keys. Along with enchanting and soothing African vocals of serenity that will surely keep you mesmerised !

We welcome Toronto’s own Demuir to Makin’ Moves. A “rare breed” in the world of electronic music. With a passion that runs deep in his veins, Demuir has risen to the top of the underground house scene with his soulful, funky, and unapologetically authentic sound. Here he presents a classy three track EP, all tracks worthy of working the dance floor in equal measure! “What Deep House Use To Be” is the first of two instrumental tracks. This one is a bouncy house groove taking us back to the early roots of house music, with a very catchy groove. “What’s Happening To Me?” is a full on jazzy house affair, and uplifting feel good instrumental with a guitar solo which keeps the toes tapping and energy high! “Emotional Seasons” completes the package, another infectious chunky house groove filled with jazzy keys and stabbing chords sending a positive house message!

Makin Moves present two supreme releases featuring one of our favourite singer-songwriters Shezar! Side A features Natural High, where Shezar teams up with French producer Laroye, who has worked with labels from Freerange to Glitterbox Records, always exploring genres from broken beat, disco to house. Here we get a quality piece of broken beat and heartfelt song from Shezar. On the B side is her collaboration with UK producer Wipe The Needle and French producer Venus Beats, both long-time contributors to Makin Moves including the hit Tenderly with Josh Milan. The original mix is a killer soulful house meets broken beat track with energetic keys, with Shezar and her sister JayBaydelivering an uplifting vocal about positivity, unity and overcoming adversity: We Shall Overcome. Makin’ Moves bring this archived studio gem to the fore as it was just too damn good to be left sitting on the drive! Rewind back to 2005 and a chance studio meeting in London between Bugz in the Attic producer Afronaught aka Orin Walters and Justin Chapman aka Kemeticjust who decided to work on some tracks. It was a time in London where there was a huge melting pot of new sounds in the broken beat era / scene and that sound was at the forefront of London’s club scene including night’s like Co-op at Plastic People in Shoreditch. However, these sounds still have stayed the test of time and very prominent still in clubland today.
Justin’s classy vocal tells a political story about our modern times in American and feeling of oppression with in the Black race.
Phil Asher (RIP) at the time loved the track and decided to do his own “Restless Soul Dub” remix version, adding his characteristic drums and stripping the vocal back while also keeping the soulfulness of Kemetic’s original.
Also featured on the package are two other mixes the excellent Blaktones Mix is must have for all the co-op broken beat heads, seeing Afronaught using those classic sounds to full effect to set the party off!

Makin' Moves is back with the latest edition of unreleased tracks “Unreleased Volume 3” that might one day see the light of day digital but for now they will stay in the vinyl vault !
First up on the A side we deliver two choice cuts from one of New York’s underground producers Conway Kasey as he returns to Makin Moves with two tracks that will work dance floors in equal measure.
On the flip Johnny Melek brings us Manifestations with Juliet Mendosa on vocals. This one is much anticipated following Johnny’s colossal debut release on Your records that was number one in the Traxsource charts for a long time! Finishing off this classy 4 track EP is David Harness’s unreleased remix of Reggie’s Steele’s “Vulnerable” which was a huge track in 2024. Harness uses his trademark beats to take this one to peacetime floors!

Detroit native Javonntte Garrett, better known simply as Javonntte.
Javonntte has been producing music and DJing since the early ’90s. Having had a love for music since he was a child growing up, he turned himself into an independent singer, songwriter, producer and even a dancer, where he once toured with Aretha Franklin’s troupe.
Having collaborated with legendary producers Blake Baxter, Amp Fiddler and Andres in his formative years, Garrett has since spread his wings as a solo producer, with a steady string of releases on such labels as Traxx Underground, Quintessentials and Kai Alce’s NDATL.
This fresh four tracker, has been hand selected by us and each track brings something different to the dance floor, from the soulful vibes of WHAT? to the the bouncier and more melodic sounds of Good Vibration and Chicago.

themselves! We are talking Wendell Harrison & The Tribe, Marcus Belgraves and Mad Mikes jazz mentor Robert “Bobby” Barnes and an even later inspiration Larry “Mr. Fingers” Heard. No better way to upset
and dethrone major record companies than to…….. start a movement that said “fuck you” to the commericial “Smooth Jazz” that was sucking innovation, experimentalism and the soul right out of Jazz and making it a household easy to digest pre-packaged PRODUCT!! This is the track that has influenced other hi-tech jazz groups and artists such as Timeline, Boulevard des Airs, Innerzone Orchestra, Jazzanova, Spiral Deluxe, Los Hermanos, Ian O’ Brian and many others. Lucas Moinet is a Paris-born producer with his roots planted firmly in the soul of house music.
Through projects like Keraw, Groove Boys Project and Projecture, he’s built a catalogue that
doesn’t chase trends, it’s goes straight back to the source. Chicago, Detroit, New York.
His discography established him as a producer who understands how to combine the nostalgia
of the 90s alongside the flavours of the 2000s. Jazz laced drums, deep chords, and a low end

The Coastal Commission “On the Rocks”

Atmospheric synths with a deep rolling Dubby Bassline beckon you to the dancefloor.
The staccato 606 drum machine snare hits snap over the track before a monster kick
drum comes thumping out of the speakers.
“On the Rocks” has served as a killer intro track by many International Dj’s including
Grant Dell who recently opened with it in Los Angeles for “Sunday Sessions”.
A big tune in South America and in particular in São Paulo, Brazil it serves as a great
mood builder for Dj’s looking to captivate their audience right off the bat.
The Coastal Commission literally tuned the Arp Odyssey Bassline to shake down the
walls, ceiling and floor while making this track. Always a massive fan of Night writers
(RIP) “Push the Feeling on” Sam read an interview where they revealed that they wrote
the B-line using a Sequencial Circuits “Arp Odyssey” and that sent him on a mission to
track one down. He eventually found one covered in dust in the back of a thrift shop in
Santa Barbara for $50! (They now go for bout 3K). Excitedly Sam rushed it home to the
studio to clean it up & after some playing around the Bassline was found and the other
elements were built around that.
The track finally breaks down to a beautiful jazz trumpet with muffled voices
conversating in the background saying “Yeah that was Funky!” releasing the tension
before building the strings back up with the vocal “Come on” commanding you to keep
dancing.
“On the Rocks” is hailed as a Modern Deep House Classic by fans and definitely one
that will stay in your record box.
Jesse Outlaw feat. Jason Harris “I’m Underground”
Jesse pens another hypnotic slab of awesome West Coast dance floor tech funk
alongside Jason’s Harris on vocals.
Jason weaves his story of Underground living in the Los Angeles scene over a pounding
kick drum and scattered percussion. The haunting keys keep the listener locked in as
the dub Bassline throbs beneath the track. As the tune proceeds it hypnotizes you &
carry’s you off into a dank basement groove. Only ever on Dub plate & used on the
second PCH “Summer Sessions” mix CD this track finally gets a full release and is
remastered by Martin Iveson.
