Spin Department has returned with a new split EP, Side a featuring the Flip EP, and Side B the Level 0 EP featuring fellow NYC based artist CL3AN. The A side is bouncy and playful deep house, featuring rolling bass lines, punchy synths, and clever micro-sampling. This is a proper dance floor ready release that would fit well on any sunny festival day. Side B is more reserved, similar driving grooves and rolling bass, but more subdued and contemplative productions with the added touch of collaborator CL3AN. Spin Department continues to explore the realm of ‘minimal maximalism’ that has informed their sound since their debut EP in 2020.
