While Toronto producer Demuir regularly features on a wide variety of house labels, it's always worth keeping an eye on his Purveyor Underground label and its' limited-edition offshoot. He's back on the latter label for this outing, where he shares vinyl space with long-serving Parisian producer (and Robsoul founder) Phil Weeks. Demuir handles side A, delivering two passes on 'The Spark': the lightly funk-fuelled original mix, where woozy jazz samples dance atop a rubbery bassline and vintage Masters at Work style beats, and the more bumpin', cut-up and sub-heavy swing of the 'Some Too Suspect remix'. On side B, Weeks delivers 'Party Time', a typically low-slung and analogue-rich deep house number where classic boogie-era vocal samples and occasional chords wrap around loose-limbed machine drums and a killer TB-303 acid bassline.

A double vinyl helping of dripping-in-soul house from Toronto's Demuir. It originally surfaced digitally in 2021 but has been constantly in demand ever since. Not at all surprising when you start to dip into the likes of 'Aesthetics' (dub), with its constant synth washes and subtle funk underpinning, or the loopy, bongo-teased hypnotism of 'No Corazon, No Beat'. It's a varied selection here, from late night floor crushers to the softer, jazzier 'Bichano Doce', but there are two constants remaining throughout, namely quality production and a knack for irresistible grooves built for the floor. Demuir by name, demure by nature.

US artist M Squared brings his inimitable style to the latest Purveyor Underground release. As soon as you drop the needle on 'Vibrations' you're in a fresh world of jazzy samples, swinging drums and smeared melodies with spoken words adding extra layers to what is a full flavour jam. 'Self Taught' is another filter-style jam that harks back to the 90s French touch scene and 'Love Technics' brings jacked-up drum funk and insistent loops that never let up. There is more room to breadth with the deeper, smoky sounds of 'In The Shadows' while label boss Demuir's Playboi edit jacks it up with more funky bass.

Demuir's Visions album gets its first series of remixes here as standout cut 'Home Sweet Home (The Journey)' gets reworked by Baltimore's finest dance music ambassador and bona fide legend DJ Spen. First up he brings some shuffling and deep soul to the groove with an irresistible skip to the drums and a lush vocal. The dub pairs things back a little further with more splash in the percussion and last of all comes the Hump mix. This one has noodling keys working their way up through the mix to bring real enlightenment.

Purveyor Underground Limited signs up one of house music's most notable names and early tastemakers here. The one and only BBQ king, famous cigar smoker and straight talking Chicago house great that is DJ Sneak captures a fine bit of form on these three jams. There is loopy warmth to 'Betta House' that you never want to end, then 'Bounce More' pairs busy synth details with a cuddly and cavernous bassline as well as signature Sneak drums. 'Seven Spice Rubz' brings a little beat of heat to the floor with its amped up feels and tribal twist.

Welcome to Purveyor Underground Limited. For our first release we are very excited to present Hymn of truth by Demuir. Leading off the A side we have the original mix starting with a banging bass line and snares leading into a spoken word that is reminiscent of those gritty 90's tracks from the likes of Green Velvet a la Preacherman The track quickly builds from there into a late night juggernaut that does not slow down! This is peak time underground house music at its finest. Up next we have the Dub mix for those who like to get down on the instrumental tip. On the flip side we get that remix treatment from house music heavy hitter Byron The Aquarius (Axis Records/Sound Signature/ Shall Not Fade). Byron has taken Hymn Of Truth into deeper territory and the result is absolutely stunning. Layered pads and beautiful strings accompany a slightly subdued bass line which turns this track into something totally different while maintaining the integrity Demuir's original vision. For the last track we have Demuir's Stripped accapella which is just that, a bare bones version of the title track that is very useful as a tool or to blend between the dub or any other version of the track.

After years of dormancy, Stilove4music is back with a brand-new 12” from label boss Jerome Derradji — the 52nd release since the label’s creation in 2005. You know the drill: Midwest disco floor bangers made strictly for discerning DJs.

Titled “Do or Don’t”, the EP delivers three essential joints:

“Disco Don’t” is a fast-paced, floor-destroying monster built for peak-time damage.

“Jazz Do” shifts gears into a mellower, psychedelic jazz disco zone, featuring Jerome on live piano, Fender Rhodes, and Korg DV800, with additional programming for good measure.

Closing things out is “Never”, a lovely, groove-heavy floor filler bursting with Brazilian love — again elevated with extra programming from Jerome.

All tracks were produced by Jerome Derradji at the Hirsch Society For Togetherness in Chicago circa 2025.

Marking twenty years since South African producer and DJ Esa Williams left Cape Town, Dala What We Must is a deeply personal and expansive debut LP, an exploration of movement, memory, and sound shaped by two decades of creative evolution. Co-created with collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Robin G. Breeze, the album deftly combines field recordings, layered instrumentation, and emotionally resonant compositions into a nuanced, globally influenced body of work. It also stands as Esa’s most collaborative release to date, featuring contributions from musicians across London, Oaxaca, Nairobi, and Cape Town, each adding their own creative energy to a project built on openness, trust, and shared experience. The album draws inspiration from Esa’s recent ventures into documentary scoring and soundtracking, with projects like Cursed (Audible) and The Invisible Hand teaching him to listen differently, to honour space, to serve the story. That sensibility permeates the album, resulting in music that breathes, lingers, and listens as much as it speaks. The title, Dala What We Must, is a South African call to action: a reminder to do what’s necessary, even in uncertainty. Finalised in the months leading up to Esa’s transition into fatherhood, the record carries a sense of grounding, care, and quiet transformation. Dala What We Must is a sonic reflection of journey and community, a deeply collaborative project rooted in connection and guided by intention.

alifornia's finest producer Coflo is back on GAMM with his second EP with edits and reworks of his favourite tunes.

All tracks hover around 4/4 rhythms but beyond that the music goes in all directions. First is 'Yo No Bailo' which is a deep Afro-Cuban House jam with chanting vocals and driving percussion.
Second is 'Sealion', a bumpy house refix of the classic cover of 'See Line Woman'.

On the flip side Coflo goes deep down south for a blues session with an electronic twist, a great marriage of musical styles if you ask us.

Kevin Reynolds ‘I Got Music’; from an Irish/US Detroit family, producer/live artist Reynolds blends techno, jazz, soul, from influences as diverse as 90s underground techno, Kraftwerk & John Coltrane, and roles/performances in multiple prestigious venues & positions.
