Demuir's Visions album gets its first series of remixes here as standout cut 'Home Sweet Home (The Journey)' gets reworked by Baltimore's finest dance music ambassador and bona fide legend DJ Spen. First up he brings some shuffling and deep soul to the groove with an irresistible skip to the drums and a lush vocal. The dub pairs things back a little further with more splash in the percussion and last of all comes the Hump mix. This one has noodling keys working their way up through the mix to bring real enlightenment.

Toronto native Demur is a master of groovy, funky deep house and has been since his fine debut TruSkool back in 2016. He has been busy of late with Visions back in March finding him collaborating with the likes of Fred P and Aaron Gray. Now comes another full length in Under The Waning Moon, another compelling mix of contemporary deep house sounds, well-sourced and deployed samples and elements of everything from jazz to funk to downtempo colouring the grooves. For steamy late-night stuff look no further than '21 Days A Hoe' while 'Wasted Wednesdays' is delightfully sunny and well swung for cosy back room vibes.

Purveyor Underground Limited signs up one of house music's most notable names and early tastemakers here. The one and only BBQ king, famous cigar smoker and straight talking Chicago house great that is DJ Sneak captures a fine bit of form on these three jams. There is loopy warmth to 'Betta House' that you never want to end, then 'Bounce More' pairs busy synth details with a cuddly and cavernous bassline as well as signature Sneak drums. 'Seven Spice Rubz' brings a little beat of heat to the floor with its amped up feels and tribal twist.

Six years after delivering his debut album - a digital-only affair called TruSkool - Demuir has finally got round to recording a follow-up. The Toronto native's brand of house is chunky, groovy, deep and funky, taking cues not only from previous collaborators such as DJ Sneak, but also those of his contemporaries that make great use of dusty samples and killer drum programming. As a result, Visions manages to work both as a collection of club-focused cuts and an album you can listen to repeatedly from start to finish. Our picks of a pleasingly strong bunch include the fluid, disco-tinged, Hipnotic-sampling brilliance of 'Mind, Body & Soul Call Me', TUSH hook-up 'Skylar' (a superb slab of gospel-tinged soulful house) and the delicious Fred P collaboration 'Dream (Part II)'.

Welcome to Purveyor Underground Limited. For our first release we are very excited to present Hymn of truth by Demuir. Leading off the A side we have the original mix starting with a banging bass line and snares leading into a spoken word that is reminiscent of those gritty 90's tracks from the likes of Green Velvet a la Preacherman The track quickly builds from there into a late night juggernaut that does not slow down! This is peak time underground house music at its finest. Up next we have the Dub mix for those who like to get down on the instrumental tip. On the flip side we get that remix treatment from house music heavy hitter Byron The Aquarius (Axis Records/Sound Signature/ Shall Not Fade). Byron has taken Hymn Of Truth into deeper territory and the result is absolutely stunning. Layered pads and beautiful strings accompany a slightly subdued bass line which turns this track into something totally different while maintaining the integrity Demuir's original vision. For the last track we have Demuir's Stripped accapella which is just that, a bare bones version of the title track that is very useful as a tool or to blend between the dub or any other version of the track.
