In just a few years Noha has made a sizable impact on the contemporary tech house scene. As well as being at the helm of Nabuco Records and Panick Panick! alongside Alex Tea, he's also released a huge swathe of records on labels such as Nilla, Constant Black, Tartouffe and Point Of View. It's not hard to see why the Oscillat crew invited him to their label - his sleek and instinctive sound is a perfect fit for the subliminal house ops the Parisian imprint is best known for. "Nobody" shimmers with invention, marked out by bold, emotive synth strokes and a nagging, subtly swung groove. Oscillat bosses Mandar then take the original right down into a pristine dubbed-out mantra that gets under your skin effortlessly. It's the kind of classy execution Mandar are known for, and best of all it keeps the essence of the soul-stirring original intact in the process.

Moss Co. returns with rising Italian star Noha for a thoughtful 3 tracker remixed by label boss Archie Hamilton. Loopo Di Mare on the A1 is a positively groovy affair. Rolling percussion and driving stabs modulate and talk to each other playfully, punctuated by big pad sweeps and mini breaks keeping the dance floor enthralled; the kind of track that could be deployed effectively at any time of night and have a different result each time. Cat takes a more heads-down approach. Loose and lively percussion meets a concurrent synth, sustaining pressure throughout the intro, hinting at deeper message which is finally delivered in the form of a powerfully emotive lead. Guaranteed eyes-closed, heads down. Archie Hamilton toughens up the percussion in his interpretation of Cat on the flip side. Driving bass meets crisp highs, tight drums and a hypnotic, distant vocal. The lead is kept until the first break where it is used to great effect - kept close to the original, but with added warmth and distortion. A tried and tested dance-floor bomb.

MMMH — aka Cheval Detroit — is a Paris-based producer/composer deeply tied to the local scene. He is one half of Loop Exposure, a duo formed in Paris that has played across France and Europe.

His EP Lost Berries in the Fields leans into synth-pop psychedelia: lucid, instinctive melodies over crisp electronic pulses, a tactile blend of acoustic and electronic instruments, and vocals drifting between new-wave haze, indie tenderness, and a soft-focus shoegaze mist.

It’s cinematic and considered, with each of the four tracks underscoring a different shade of his palette.

The EP begins with Tune Analysis, a track where elements collide gently and aggregate like snow falling on the ground. Vuh then gives way to the percussive sounds to express themselves. On B side these percussions are driven into a more organized rhythm in a meditative inducing incantation .These explorations culminate in an elegant synthesis on the final track.

Chapelle XIV Music proudly presents ‘B01V’ by the enigmatic Sato, aka Satoshi Tomiie. The tracks on this EP are produced and curated with DJs in mind, offering different takes and alternative versions of the much sought-after “Blue, Black And Grey.”

A1. ‘B01V’ – The album “Blue, Black And Grey” was a live recording, where the original ‘B01’ served as the second track of continuous play. ‘B01V’ presents an alternative version of ‘B01,’ while maintaining the deepness and vibe, this cut focuses on a DJ mix.
A2. A57V, B1. A56V, and B2. A58V are all different studio takes of A57, A56, and A58 from the album. Although they share similar titles and elements with the ones on the album, they sound like almost different compositions as they were all recorded during Satoshi’s live performances in the studio.”

This 12? pressing serves as a bridge between the mindful journey of the initial 8-tracker double album and the corporeal reality of the dancefloor, making it an essential piece for both collectors and DJs alike.

Compilation Vol. 1 by Chapelle XIV Music gathers unreleased tracks from Bambounou, Voiski, Chris Korda, Satoshi Tomiie, I:CUBE, rRoxymore, Jacques & Canblaster, Janeret, Cabanne, NSDOS… Between IDM, ambient, futuristic pop, jazz inspirations or deep house, the 15 tracks define the contours of the artistic identity of this new label, between young discoveries and emblematic artists in their fields.

Born from the collaboration between the Yoyaku record store and the Chapelle XIV art gallery, the sound of Chapelle XIV Music is designed for attentive listening, and include more pop sonorities with a wide electronic spectrum. We produced a Collector Edition Pack available in 200 copies gathering all three records of the compilation. The musical aesthetics of the release evolves with each record, going from IDM, to ambient, through jazz inspirations or deep house.
