Released in 1979, "Tutti Fluti" is undoubtedly one of Teddy Lasry’s most unique and poetic albums. Entirely centered on flutes, of which he is an undisputed master, this record offers a dreamlike dive into ethereal jazz, naturalistic ambient, and subtle electronic experimentation.
Teddy Lasry, an original member of Magma, is known for his distinctive approach to wind instruments and synthesizers. As a composer, performer, and texture inventor, he builds here a delicate, contemplative, and timeless sound world.
On Tutti Fluti, flutes become voices, breath, wind, and a call to the imagination. Accompanied by luminous keyboards and subtle rhythms, they shape an organic, soft, and introspective music—perfect for active meditation or immersive listening.
A rare and atypical album, Tutti Fluti now finds its place among the great classics of auteur library music, between spiritual jazz and the imagined soundtrack of a film never made.
Limited edition – A precious reissue for collectors, dreamer flutists, and sonic explorers.

Teddy Lasry - In The Gutter
With "Modern Way", Teddy Lasry delivers one of his most accomplished albums, where analog synthesizer mastery meets a distinctly modern vision of instrumental music. Originally released in 1981, this rare record embodies both the elegance of jazz-fusion and the boldness of electronic experimentation.
Known for his key role in Magma, Teddy Lasry established himself as a discreet yet essential pioneer of French cosmic music. A saxophonist, flutist, and keyboardist, he began developing a rich and personal body of work in the 1970s, blending film scoring, sonic science fiction, and synthetic dreamscapes.
On Modern Way, he explores a new path, at the crossroads of space funk, futuristic library music, and cinematic synthetic landscapes. Each track evokes a scene: a race against time, a machine-city, a digital dream... An imaginary soundtrack for an era that still believed in tomorrow.
Reissued on vinyl for the first time, Modern Way is a key work for fans of rare electronic gems, atmospheric jazz, and avant-garde music long left in the shadows.

French multi-instrumentalist Teddy Lasry's story is noteworthy not just in regards to the music he released, but in the ways that he
approached the craft of composing and experimenting with sounds and sonics.
Always intrigued with the capabilities of instruments, their groove and their feel, it was very much his family’s influence that helped to
fuel these life long affections. As a performer in a parisien cabaret, Teddy’s father Jacques would mingle with giants like Serge
Gainsbourg and Charlie Chaplin (impressed by his ability to improvise, Chaplin wanted him to become his accompanist, but the pianist
politely refused). Jacques and his wife (Teddy’s mother Yvonne), would later become members of the innovative experimental group Les
Structures Sonores, and surround their children’s lives with sounds. Electronic music was still in its infancy and Les Structures Sonores,
with their resonators that produced long, mysterious tones, were deemed ‘cosmic’. It was the era of the launching of the first Russian
Sputnik and every time a radio or television station wanted music for their science fiction programs, they turned to one of their
compositions. Showing a natural ability with multi instrumentalism, Teddy was rewarded with a spot in the band, allowing him to really
explore unconventional methods of composition.
Following a brief stint with Ariane Mnouchkine's avant-garde Théâtre du Soleil after graduating school, Teddy joined the pioneering
prog band Magma, with whom he would record three groundbreaking records during the early 1970s (According to former member
Laurent Thibault, their album Mëkanïk Dëstruktï. Kömmandöh and its sound were strong influences on David Bowie during the recording
of Low and Iggy Pop’s The Idiot at Hérouville). Despite the successes with these projects, Teddy was constantly searching for new ways
of expressing himself through music, leading him into the beginnings of a solo career that would last the better part of three decades.
Teddy’s transition into his solo career came with contrasting fortunes, in that he was now becoming a music to image composer but
with the unfortunate realisation that his eyesight was gradually worsening (due to being diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa at an early
age). Nonetheless, his solo career would begin in 1975, and for the rest of the decade his sound would become increasingly
mired in electrified Funk-Fusion and its endless sonic possibilities. The resulting music would serve to highlight Teddy’s love affair
with the possibilities found within tireless instrumentation, with the flute and particularly synthesisers becoming a mini-obession of his (he
once spent a 7,000 Francs loan, which was meant to be spent on fixing his roof, on synths).
To this day Teddy continues to record and experiment with music, a passion which in many ways has never left his side,
even at the age of 75. His career was one that was fuelled by innate curiosity and an intrinsic desire to discover new methods of
expressionism, be it through the realms of Jazz-Funk, ambient electronics, Swing music or indeed through the medium of instrumentation
itself. On this compilation, we look to encapsulate the essence of his innovative sound, and from start to finish a sense of his ingenious
approach to composing structure and mood is made abundantly clear. The funk-jazz fusion style that embodied the majority of his 70s
work is on full display here, with the vibrant flute driven "Los Angeles", the Miles Davis inspired "Blue Theme", the progressive and driving
"Chamonix", and the deeply intricate "Krazy Kat", along with one of his finest 80s slow jams, "Funky Ghost". Two cuts off the ‘Back To
Amazonia’ album are also featured (Teddy’s last album including his Prophet T8, Yamaha DX7 and Oberheim drum machines). "Raising
Sun in Bali" and the title piece both emphasise an ever present passion for synthesisers. "Birds of Space", a standout track off the e=mc2
album, closes the comp, and is a fitting way to end this journey.
Pulled together in close collaboration with Teddy and his family, this collection of songs looks to introduce new listeners to his work
and we are proud to present this limited and carefully remastered compilation on vinyl, including extensive liner notes.

Dis Bonjour A La Dame - Ta Me`re En Short Bleu
It was the 90s. Paris had the blues, French rap was beginning its slow rise, and a new musical genre was emerging: Acid Jazz. Imported from England by DJ Gilles Peterson, this groovy style blended 70s funk with a certain idea of jazz tailored for the dancefloor. Its heroes were Galliano, Brand New Heavies, Incognito, and the James Taylor Quartet. Jamiroquai topped the charts, MC Solaar recorded with Urban Species, and suddenly, France was swept up in the swing whirlwind.
Starting in 1993, Parisian clubs embraced this union of jazz and groove, and in 1994, a compilation was released: Paris Groove Up. Around ten groups delivered the French version of this British style: Mellowman, Mad In Paris, Vercoquin, Ready Made... and Dis Bonjour À La Dame. The band wasn’t new—their roots went back to the late 80s, when bassist Marc Israël brought together a brass section and some seasoned musicians. But the real beginning of DBALD came in 1992 with the arrival of singer Sital. "Christophe Denis joined on guitar and songwriting. In 1993, we opened for Jamiroquai and Maceo Parker, and that’s when the major labels interested in the acid jazz market started noticing us," recalls Marc.
Their track Chris’tal, the centerpiece of the compilation, was released as a single, and Dis Bonjour À La Dame's album began production in late 1994 in London, at Roundhouse Studio. “We must’ve been among the last sessions there—it was demolished shortly after. It was a very 70s studio, with old gear, a Fender Rhodes, everything was vintage! We recorded for a month, all playing together live, then added the brass and finally Sital’s vocals. We were lucky to have two exceptional backing singers, Sarah Brown and Mark Anthoni, who worked with Incognito and Urban Species.”
The self-titled album came out in early 1995, and it had all the ingredients of a hidden funky gem from the 90s: Hey Mama with its ironclad groove, the irresistible instrumental Sheherazade Groove opening the record, Soul Body with its R\&B sensuality... The hip-hop touch came courtesy of Lee Rick’s, the MC from Mellowman, who laid down rhymes on Hall Blues. The brass section was on fire, the bass went wild, and Sital added a sensual spark to the whole thing.
In short, a solid album produced by Fred Versailles (producer of NTM’s first album) and mixed by Paul Borg (Urban Species, UFO, -M-, Mory Kanté), a testament to a time when big funky bands made Paris groove—with Dis Bonjour À La Dame leading the charge. Nearly thirty years later, it’s time to (re)discover DBALD.

2Fresh - La surface feat. Guillaume Farley
Nothing truly predestined Frédéric Inthavisay, aka 2Fresh, for the musical career he has today. No musician parents, no academic training—his entry into music came through the collective. He picked up the guitar with his first punk band, formed during middle school, viewing it as a tool for political expression. It was the 1980s in Ivry-sur-Seine, a stronghold of social activism at the time.
This social commitment connected him with other Ivry-based artists like Merlot, who composed the track *Hallelujha* on this album. Ivry is a melting pot of cultures that offered suburban kids the richness of exchange—and what better way to learn sharing than through music?
This album is a musical family snapshot from the '80s–'90s, blending all styles (hip hop, reggae, funk…), all backgrounds, and all religions. A time that may feel far away today, but one we still enjoy listening to.
It all began in this southern suburb, where 2Fresh built his musical family—his friends, his “brothers and sisters,” as Sydney, the iconic host of the show *H.I.P. H.O.P.*, would say. Sydney lends his groove to the tracks *2Fresh Familly* and *Walkin’ in the Night*.
Malka Familly, KGB, and singer-bassist Guillaume Farley also crossed paths with 2Fresh and joined him on the tracks *Ta dose de Malka*, *Ghetto Youth*, and *La surface*.
2Fresh’s musical journey coincides with the birth of hip hop and the digital revolution of the '80s–'90s. Musicians were gradually replaced by early samplers, and DJ-producers began to rise. 2Fresh became a DJ alongside Dee Nasty, who features on the track *Ghetto Youth*, dedicated to the label created by his mentor Rud Lion.
With EJM, Abuz, Doc Shadow, and Little P, we get the chance to reconnect with pioneers of French hip hop on tracks like *94 Une couleur, un chiffre* and *Dans mon salon*.
2Fresh played in iconic French music groups of the '80s/'90s, such as Mad In Paris and Tonton David. This journey is told with emotion by Driss and Kiro on the track *Toujours présents*, and with high energy by Mad In Paris on *Gogo*.
The album 2Fresh Familly is a true gem, a collector’s item for the old school heads and the young timers alike.

Long kept in the shadows, "+ Ou – 8000" is a rare gem of the French musical avant-garde, born from the meeting of three composers at the peak of their inventiveness. Initially intended as sound illustration, this album crosses the boundaries of library music, space jazz, and electronic experimentation, with a freedom and boldness that today give it cult status.
Teddy Lasry, an iconic figure from the MAGMA universe, has always moved between jazz, progressive rock, and electronic music. A saxophonist by training, he explores here synthetic and spatial territories with striking modernity.
Francis Mercier, discreet yet remarkably effective, is a sound craftsman who left his mark on many library music records in the 1970s. Here he delivers precise rhythmic textures, tense atmospheres, and a minimalist groove mastery.
Christian Perraudin, a chameleon composer bridging academic music and film scoring, brings his cinematic touch—floating melancholy and sci-fi tension. A true artisan of sonic ambiance.
Boldly visionary, + Ou - 8000 is an invitation to active listening, a journey into the heart of a fascinating sound laboratory. This unprecedented vinyl reissue is a unique opportunity to (re)discover a crucial record that remained out of reach for far too long.
Limited edition – for lovers of rarities, analog synths, and genre-defying musical exploration.
