Opener 'Tropics' is a fully live disco workout created by some of New York's best session musicians. The perfect celebratory single kicks off the 200 series with irresistible bounce and funky basslines. Dancing keys overflow with feel-good vibes while the chords have subtle hints of a Marshall Jefferson classic. The stirring 'Born Again' is a lush and sweeping groove packed with exuberant live musicianship, distant cosmic arps and splashing cymbals. Soaring up top are the beautifully pained and emotive vocals of Laura Roy, a Grammy-nominated talent who blends 70's folk and 90's r&b into her own style. As Batu, Omar McCutcheon has made a huge impression on modern club music by channeling the soundsystem-rooted principles of dubstep into inventive mutations that defy easy categorisation. Donato Dozzy has been a leading figure in European techno since the mid 00s, helping pioneer a culture of deeply immersive, subtle dance music charged with ambient atmospheres. The pair first connected in Japan in 2019, discovering a mutual appreciation for each others' work and a curiosity about how their distinct sounds might intersect.
In February 2025 Batu visited Dozzy's studio in Rome. Within that Aladdin's cave of hardware, the pair mapped out a continuous, instinctive flow of sketches that became the bedrock of Exhale.
Between Dozzy's gear-focused practice and Batu's detailed software manipulations a dialogue emerged between the duo's distinct styles, making space for each other and learning along the path to a record both unique and innately connected to their respective musical legacies.
The eight fully-formed pieces that make up Exhale bear the hallmarks of both creators in equal measure. True to their musical mission, there are no one-dimensional approaches taken throughout Exhale. Transcendental sequences are laser-guided by kinetic drum science, and even the most bruising moments are balanced with a delicacy that leads straight to the heart of both producers' profound appeal. ascha Ring aka Apparat’s work as a producer, artist, musician, live act and DJ has always been in a constant state of metamorphosis, while simultaneously always managing to stay true to his trademark musical sound.
There is a unique spirit that lives within his projects and productions or rather they all have this special vision of music which becomes more distinctive with every release and spans his ‘Multifunktionsebene’ and ‘Walls’ albums on Shitkatapult, his ‘Moderat’ album made together with the boys from Modeselektor on Bpitch Control and his DJ-Kicks mix for !K7.
Following on from Kode9 and his friend James Holden, Apparat offers a wonderful mix and insight into the tracks that have influenced and roused his passion for club productions over the years as well as his current favourites in his box.
The mix includes an exclusive track ‘Sayulita’. Together with this mix, it also symbolises a nice reference point in an important chapter in Apparat’s own history – club music. This is a chapter that is by no means finished, for the more he succeeds in re-writing the narrow parameters of techno music, the more important it remains as the driving force in his life.

Marcel Dettmann's 'My Own Shadow' is the latest chapter in the Berlin-based legend's illustrious career. The live project is, in his own words, "a space where all of my artistic expressions meet," blending techno with film, sketches and photography. he downtempo legacy of Tosca continues. Originally released in 2005, J.A.C. is the fourth studio album by the Austrian duo - an album dedicated to their then newly born sons, “Joshua, Arthur, Conrad”. For its 20th anniversary, which also marks !K7's 40th anniversary, it has been fully remastered and compiled into a beautiful gatefold 2LP.
Between the release of their classic Dehli 9 and J.A.C., the two entered fatherhood. As all Tosca albums relate to biographic events in the life of Huber and Dorfmeister, the birth of their sons naturally called for an album dedication. J.A.C. is perhaps the most consistent formulation of both, the carefree and melancholic sound of Tosca.
The melodies quicken, the grooves are funky and laidback and the variety of musical styles are marked by a wide choice. Additionally, from 2003 onwards, Tosca became a full band, with live debuts by the side of the likes of Earl Zinger, MC Farda P (Rockers Hi-Fi) and Graf Hadik.
It's this new found live experience and the increased interest in the digitally untouched sound of real instruments that marks the character of this landmark Tosca album the most, besides the characteristic Tosca mood.

An artist whose reputation has long been forged by his engagement and musical exchange with local scenes and cultures from across the world. Quantic’s vast discography of electronic releases spans two decades, ranging from focused solo productions and intimate collaborations to expansive ensemble projects. Now, the multi-instrumentalist, DJ, composer and producer Will Holland delivers his DJ-Kicks compilation, which fittingly radiates friends and family energy.
Having worked and lived in the UK, US and Colombia, Quantic reached out to the many wide-ranging music connections he has made during his 20-plus-year career. “It’s not like writing an album; you’re at the mercy of what other people are creating," he reflects of the mix’s creation. “Fortunately, the homies’ submissions were of an extremely high calibre!” Gathering these artists' music together was a delight for Quantic, especially as he had personal connections with many of those who crafted them.
The mix bursts with unreleased exclusives and places the art of curation at its core, giving the listeners space to go and dig more of the songs and sonics which resonate the most. Will Holland includes a glistening breadth of new material, including new music from Quantic alongside another of his aliases Sobredosis, creating a mix teeming with vitality.

Nastia's NECHTO presents a new six-track release from DJ Dextro, including one
collaboration with Portuguese producer Cardao. The project marks Dextro’s first appearance
on the label, following years of his tracks being played by Nastia and a shared event in
Lisbon in 2023. That connection gradually turned into a conversation about releasing
something together. “It was a matter of time until I got to her ear,” Dextro says. “And from
there, we talked about NECHTO — and here we are.”
The tracks on the EP are shaped by a mix of spontaneous ideas and observations on daily
life, society, and broader themes like science and the unknown. Dextro explains that the
track titles often reflect his current state of mind or something happening around him —
sometimes personal, other times completely random. Each one sits within his established
sound: energetic, structured, and focused on rhythm.
One of the six tracks features Cardao, with whom Dextro shares what he describes as “a
good harmony and easy understanding” in the studio. Known for his groove-led, percussive
style, Cardao’s contribution adds another layer to the release while fitting seamlessly into its
overall tone.
Shaped by both artists’ individual perspectives, this EP stays close to the club — direct,
driving techno rooted in shared sensibilities and straightforward execution.

Cody Currie & Kapote together in the studio! Delivering a 4 track EP that connect proto-disco, neo soul, Chicago house beats and jazz funk in a very spontaneous, super catchy way.
Cody, the London multi-talent musician and Kapote, the Berlin based creative head of Toy Tonics have a lot in common. Both come from studying jazz, knowing different instruments, having played in bands and at the same time being DJs with a huge passion and the skill to rock thousands of people every weekend at the Toy Tonics Jams with a wild mix of different music. They have what we call THE VIBE. Soulful, catchy, intense. When they play records at a party and when they work on tracks. Both play keyboards, bass, guitar and drums. Both sing. And both have funny nicknames that journalists gave them: Cody Currie was called "the Tom Misch of House music" and Kapote the "Wes Anderson of electronic music". Makes us laugh, but also fits well. And yes: Both are a bit crazy... like every extremely talented musician.

The Oganesson Remixes EP follows the March 2025 release of “Oganesson”, which was the first new music released by Tortoise since 2016.
