Glaswegian production duo Illyus & Barrientos bring their genre-crossing disco and house vibes with ‘Wait’, featuring soulful Big Love returnee Phebe Edwards. Up next, a collaboration between two house masters, the multi-faceted Richard Earnshaw and Sole Channel founder Mr. V unite for funky release ‘This House Is Yours’. Closing out this tight and groovy vinyl collection is Rio De Janeiro’s premiere producer DJ Meme with ‘Century’, utilising a classical piece of music from Strauss synonymous with the sound of the future.

Big Love label boss Seamus Haji commits four of the label’s pristine releases to wax for the fourth edition of ‘A Touch Of Love’, opening up the compilation himself with ‘Wish’, made with Full Intention’s Michael Gray and featuring vocals from current Chic singer-songwriter Audrey Martells. This collaboration of legends is followed by another from Mark Lower & Fleur De Mur, this time with the fiery nu-disco track ‘Burn For Love’ before one half of NiCe7, FrescoEdits continues to develop his uplifting, loop-based sound with the disco-inspired ‘Get Free’. Closing out this eclectic release of Big Love favourites, London-based duo Saison and their motivational collaboration with Kameelah Waheed, ‘Be Yourself’.

This anthem of manifestation is the perfect fit for Big Love, with its uplifting message of self-worth resonating over a deep and lively bassline. Next up, Saison take Mike Dunn’s ‘It’s A Groove Thing’ and give the classic disco-cut a club-ready spin. On the flip, Big Love shines a spotlight on Seamus Haji, with the Art of Tones NYC Remix of ‘I Walk Alone (For Your Love)’ made in collaboration with Those Guys. Kicking off the A-Side, Dirty Channels’ dreamy disco cut ‘Let Love In’ sets the tone, soul-steeped with a heavy dose of funk. Up next, Seamus’ remix of Brazilian house legend DJ Meme ‘I Can’t Get You (Out Of My Mind)’ follows, a silky down-tempo cut with flawless composition. On the flip, Boston singer-songwriter Saucy Lady delivers ‘Reunite Under Starlight’, exuding confidence and sensuality on the 70s inspired cut. House pioneer & Chicago don Mike Dunn graces us with ‘It’s A Groove Thang’. A stripped back disco jam featuring his familiar spoken-word narration and Windy City drawl sonically soothing the groove as the bass pumps on. ‘Disco Dreams’ sees label head-honcho Seamus Haji bring his own funk-fuelled delivery to the label. The record transports you to the heavenly land of disco with euphoric strings, dazzling builds and nostalgic vocals from Mike Dunn in his own inimitable style. The flip features Nigel Lowis’ Soul City Connection project with ‘Brotherly Love’, firmly rooted in the Philadelphia sound of the 70’s with a lavish strings and brass driven arrangement. One of Chicago’s most revered DJ’s, Jamie 3:26 and Rotterdam producer Danou P step up for remix duties. They expertly soak the record in disco and funk influences, delivering their South Street Soul Strut Mix alongside Nigel’s original.
