Soft Cell’s second long-player was the groundbreaking mini-LP ‘Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing’… the world’s first remix album and a huge influence on subsequent generations of clubbers, DJs and remixers. Reissue of the original album, remastered, and bolstered by the inclusion of extended versions of its two related hit singles – ‘Torch’ and ‘What!’ – and bring it up to date with a second disc of unreleased mixes and highlights from 2007’s long-deleted ‘Heat – The Remixes’.
The release will be laser-focussed to celebrate Soft Cell’s pioneering work in the clubs of Leeds, London, New York and Berlin and clear the decks for our next full deluxe edition ‘The Art Of Falling Apart’ in Q3 2025. Barring the super 6CD version would follow the formats that were so successful for ‘Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret’ reissue with a 2CD and 2LP coloured as the physical versions with a digital deluxe mirroring the 2CD set. We know this artist has a wide appeal AND a solid fanbase and this album is also legendary in DJ / club / electronic circles.

Sweden’s Tiger Stripes returns to Rekids with the ‘Dance For Peace’ EP, following on from February’s ‘All Night Long’ and 2024’s ‘I Heard It Through The Bassline’ EPs. Acclaimed electronic artists Paranoid London land on cult NYC label Nu Groove with ‘Talk Dirty / Revolution’, on wax for the first time. Known for their dynamic, hybrid sets combining experimental DJing with live electronics, Paranoid London are a firm favourite of heads in the know thanks to their impeccable, eclectic taste that honours house’s underground roots. The duo are sonically at home on Nu Groove, originally created in 1988 as an outlet for The Burrell Brothers’ avant-garde house sound. Title track ‘Talk Dirty’ demonstrates the unique power that Paranoid London cultivate on the dancefloor, inspired by the original sound of Chicago house; featured on the record is their frequent collaborator Josh Caffe, a prolific house and techno vocalist who has also worked with icon of the scene Honey Dijon. Surprisingly, During Fred's time working it turns out he was recording some rather brilliant unreleased Modern Soul music, the first single of which Athens of the North is very proud to present here.'Stay Away' is a gospel-tinged floater of the highest order, up there with the finest modern spins of the last 40 years, essential. On the flip, a funky 70s syncopated dancer that's going to be a big hit with forward-thinking northern crowds. Two brand-new mixes done in the Athens of the North studio from the original multitracks. This one is a little pricier than usual, but a lot of work went into getting it right, and we all gotta eat. First Word Records are proud to present the debut single from Above The Clouds (aka kidkanevil & Magic Manfred) with their instrumental take on an MF DOOM classic, 'Arrow Root'. One of the original First Word roster, UK Producer/DJ and all-round laptop music geek kidkanevil has developed a distinctive and progressive sound over the years, gleefully exploring the beats and bleeps of the electronic music universe to international recognition. Leeds born, sound system bred and raised on a (un)healthy diet of video games and anime, his solo work inhabits the curious space between bass frequencies and otaku culture. But as a devoted teenage backpack rap nerd, somewhere in the back of kid's mind was a lingering desire to reconnect with his first love, hip hop. Not long after moving to Berlin he joined a studio space in graffiti plastered Kreuzberg, where he met multi instrumentalist wizard Magic Manfred; a disciple of all things boogie, disco, funk and soul. Born and raised in Berlin, and currently a touring musician for many an act, Manfred's musical map joins the dots from piano lessons at four, to starting a band with his teenage friends, leading him to his true calling - the bass - via the club vibrations of his hometown, which introduced him to the world of DJing and production, and a stint studying in the explosive London jazz scene to finalise his Jedi training. Bonding over their mutual love of '90s hip hop, a friendship and musical kinship developed, coupled with a desire to honour past eras but push things forward, Above The Clouds was born; named after their joint favourite DJ Premier beat, with a touch of irony regarding their basement based studio of a windowless variety.This one is backed up on the flip side with 'Tram Delay Beat'; a low slung neck-snapper teasing more of what's to come.
