The 'Datsha' LP is a curated collection of 11 tracks, handpicked from hundreds crafted during a creative surge in 2020 to bring life to the unique ambiance of Datsha Underground, a beloved Parisian hideaway. The result is a deeply atmospheric, jazz-tinged trip-hop journey that recalls the vibes of artists like Gramatik and Nightmares on Wax, as well as Mark Farina's iconic Mushroom Jazz series.
Releasing just in time for the cozy winter season, Datsha promises to be the perfect soundtrack for unwinding — whether you're hosting a gathering or simply relaxing at home.

B4. Aboukir - A Year From Now
Digital Introversion is the first studio album of Aboukir, the new project of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ralph Maruani, also known as Flabaire for his electronic music pieces.
Throughout the 8 tracks of the LP, psychedelic guitars and dreamy vocals lie down on bluesy bass lines and subtle rhodes keys, putting great emphasis on instrumental sequences in every song.?
Inspired by the sound of the 60s and 70s rock, the album conjures references to bands like Crosby, Stills & Nash, prog-rock pioneers Pink Floyd and more modern musicians such as Khruanghbin or Air. Recorded in 2018 and 2019 in his home studio, every instrument is played and arranged by Maruani himself except for the drums, performed by friends and family on several tracks. No samples here, just pure talent from an experienced producer and a lifelong vinyl collector. ?
Aboukir's Digital Introversion will be available in April 2021 on Rotary Phono Lab in limited edition vinyl and digital.

Short Info:
HUBRIS original soundtrack will be released November 6th, 2020 on Rotary Phono Lab, in digital and limited edition vinyl, including a featuring with San Proper (Rush Hour), singing on "Dr Proper" single.
HUBRIS is a feature film written, directed and produced by Marie Polo. Shot during 4 years between Berlin and the Fontainebleau Forest near Paris, the film is about the healing process of a young woman - Alice - who experienced a traumatic experience she does not have any visual memory of. The film is structured as a sophrology session during which the audience enters different layers of body memory of Alice, going back and forth between the present and the nightmarish visions of her past trauma.
The sound design and original score of the film is written and performed by Paul Behnam. Throughout the 22 tracks of the album, he navigates effortlessly between ambient, modern classical, rock, funk, house and techno, unveiling his versatility and his talent for translating emotions into music. Even without the images, the story of Alice unfolds inside your ears throughout an hour of eerie, exhilarating and relaxing pieces of music.
The soundtrack also features a collaboration with electronic music mad dog San Proper (Perlon, Rush Hour), playing his own role in the film and singing on " Dr. Proper ". Italian pianist and lyricist Andrea Monticciolo delivers a moving performance on " Oma Ooh Salem ", while Louis McGuire and pandeiro player Adriano Tikogo invites us to a gloomy dance on Pandeiro Show.
Self-taught guitarist, Paul Behnam draws his inspiration from Psychedelic Rock, Jazz and the 'Musique Concrète' of the 20th century. After many years performing in rock bands, he moved to Berlin where he explored the many ways of playing instruments together with analog machines live, attracted by the endless possibilities offered by electronic music. This is where he started to work on sound design for films, animated movies and delve into acousmatic music, inspired by artists such as Pierre Schaeffer or Brian Eno. Paul is currently working on his first solo LP, a concept-album blending French lyrics with electronic music, which will be released in 2021.

DJ Deep and Traumer have created a new joint venture called “Get-Rooted” by merging their label names (Deeply Rooted and get—traum).
The concept behind get—rooted centers around sharing their musical expressions while offering their own interpretations of tracks.
For example, on “Fica Open Your Eyes” / “Close Your Eyes,” DJ Deep takes a more raw, hypnotic groove-centered approach, while Traumer opts for a more refined direction with lush production. Traumer’s “Turn It Up” features his deep and energetic signature style, while DJ Deep’s “Insss” incorporates a beloved vocal sample revisited around a drum-focused track.

DJ Life - Flusong
When DJ Life gives you lemons, press ‘em on vinyl. 4 zesty tech house nuggets bringing the swing and vitality in a big way.
Keeping it widescreen throughout and the percussion pulls focus. At times slick and sultry, at others more ominous and ill-tempered, we’re dishing out high-velocity dynamics across four distinct trax. Constantly nudging towards the peak-time, but with plenty of breathy sensuality and dappled melody as he flexes a detailed, sound-sensitive approach.
Drums, drums and more drums. You know the deal by now: direct torque in full effect as we traverse the rugged, funked-out and percussive. Plenty of trippy flourish for good measure too, from humid fusions of rainforest FX and hallucinatory detail to light trail synths punching through inky abyss.
It all recalls Terry Francis’ and his Housey Doingz project at the peak of their powers. Big stabs, big forward momentum. Think the golden era of their Wiggle parties circa 1999.

COD3 QR cries "Give Me Four!" for their first vinyl-only release of 2025.
Label helmsman, Laurent Garnier delivers the first cut, setting the standard for "[QR]V.052.GMF.25". "Back Where I Belong (Solaris Mix)" is a monumental builder. Laurent once again brings his musical storytelling with layers upon layers of sound and melody alongside infectious beats.
Berlin resident and Survival Tactics label head, Tal Fussman is known for creating music that works in many settings and transcends genres. Fast becoming a COD3 QR regular having previously provided the deep "10247" for COD3 QR 016 and epic "If I Can" for "[QR]D.158.DWM.24". This time he returns with the upbeat "Waiting" and a heavy nod to retro soulful House.
Leading French producer Loloman creates music inspired by his extensive experience on the dancefloor alongside the roots of Detroit techno and Chicago house. On November's "[QR]D.320.MFS.24" he gave us "The Wall" which has now been masterfully reworked by Garnier.
Benny Rodrigues a.k.a. ROD unveils his new moniker, The Lost Souldancer. In his own words, Benny says: "The Lost Souldancer is about coping with the loss of what once was. Finding comfort in the invisible rather than what can be seen. Disconnect to connect in order to be loved rather than liked." "No More Voices" brings that feeling alive as a perfect closer to this soul-stirring EP.

Tsunaki Kadowaki, a staff member at Kyoto’s record store Meditations, the supervisor of "New Age Music Disc Guide", and the founder of Sad Disco, curates the fourth installment of "Midnight in Tokyo" themed around Ambient Kayo. The Midnight in Tokyo series by Studio Mule focuses on Japanese music, serving as a soundtrack for Tokyo nights—whether for home listening, club play, or as a driving BGM, transcending location and space. After a six-year hiatus, the fourth volume takes "Ambient Kayo" as its new perspective, compiling genre-defying tracks released between 1977 and 1999 to explore the intersection of Japanese ambient and pop music. For this long-awaited fourth installment, selections were made regardless of record label status (major or independent), era, format (vinyl or CD), original release price, or prior reissues. Instead, the focus was on music that deeply moves the listener, is open-minded and evocative, brims with inspiration and spiritual insight, and embodies the "utagokoro" (singing heart) of Japanese artists. Opening the compilation is "Umi e Kinasai" by Yosui Inoue, a legendary Japanese singer-songwriter whose works have recently gained renewed interest as hidden gems of Walearic and ambient pop
Composed and arranged by Katsu Hoshi—who is also known for his arrangements on Inoue’s masterpiece Ice World—the track features renowned players such as Masayoshi Takanaka, Hiroki Inui, and Shigeru Inoue. The song embodies a yearning for Balearic horizons, tinged with youthful vibrancy and sentimentality. Next, "Oritatamu Umi", compiled from Keiko Nosaka, a 20-string koto player, and George Murasaki, a pioneer of Okinawan rock, is an instrumental track from their album "Niraikanai Requiem 1945". As the title suggests, it carries themes of requiem and remembrance, conveying poetic lyricism even without words. Blending Ryukyuan/Okinawan harmonies and indigenous elements, it unfolds as an intimate and nostalgic piece of progressive rock. Also featured is "Natsu no Kowareru Koro" by Higurashi, a folk-rock band led by Seiichi Takeda, formerly a guitarist of The Remainders of The Clover, the predecessor of RC Succession. Like the opening track "Umi e Kinasai", this song was also produced by Katsu Hoshi. It stands as a folk/new music piece that takes a step into an "otherworldly" realm, recommended for fans of Twin Cosmos and Masumi Hara. From the enigmatic Blue, the only work left by the mysterious composer S.R. Kinoshita, comes "Mangrove", a hidden treasure of Japan's ambient/new age scene from the CD era. With an oriental and enigmatic atmosphere, the track evokes a mystical world of deep, uncharted jungles, unfolding as an otherworldly New Age Kayo. "Yaponesia Sakura", selected from Rehabilual’s sole album New Child, is a masterpiece of Japanese new age music. Produced by Swami Dhyan Akamo, a disciple of Indian meditation teacher Osho and a renowned balafon player, the track features Michio Ogawa (Chakra) and Atsuo Fujimoto (Colored Music). Their collective artistry creates an exquisite spiritual ambient pop sound. "Asa no Hitoshizuku", the opening folk song from Sachiko Kanenobu’s album Sachiko, is also included. Known for her legendary folk album Misora, produced by Haruomi Hosono, Kanenobu’s fourth album after resuming her career was inspired by her experiences living in San Francisco and revolves around the theme of "love." This track carries the same intimate poetic world as Misora, imbued with a pure, crystalline innocence. From the synth-pop band E.S. Island, known for the Haruomi Hosono-produced *Teku Teku Mami", comes "Yume Furin ", selected from their long-lost new age classic Nanpu from Hachijo. Created while the band’s core duo was living in Hachijo Island, the album aimed to sonically capture "the high and happy vibrations of everyday island life." This track offers a dynamic, tribal-infused New Age Kayo experience. Dubbed "the world's first Min’yo House Mix" "Esashi Oiwake (Maeuta) " comes from Kanazawa Akiko HOUSE MIX ?, a collaboration between Japanese house music pioneer Soichi Terada and Akiko Kanazawa, a renowned min’yo singer. Through the prism of club music, Hokkaido's Esashi Oiwake, one of Japan’s most iconic folk songs, is transformed into a futuristic ambient pop piece with intricate sound design. The compilation also includes "Sweet Ong Choh", a track from Voice From Asia, a group active between 1989 and 1992 featuring vocal artist Shizuru Ohtaka. Taken from their imaginative minimal work Voice From Asia, released under Aoyama Spiral’s music label Newsic, the song presents a tranquil, tribal-minimal soundscape enriched by ethnic instruments. Hailed by Haruomi Hosono as having “a shaman residing in her voice,” singer-songwriter Nami Hodatsu also appears in the selection. Known for her collaborations with Henry Kawahara, her debut album featured "Asa-Hikari-Ame-Yume", a track that now stands as a precursor to modern vocaloid/synthesized vocal music—a hidden gem of post-choir aesthetics that deserves rediscovery. Likewise, "Tennessee Waltz", from Naomi Akimoto’s album One Night Stand, supported by members of Mariah, serves as another early prototype of vocaloid/synthesized vocal music. The track weaves fragmented vocal samples, pastoral yet sweetly minimal synth sounds, and mechanical beats into a strikingly unconventional piece in the history of Japanese music.
Closing the compilation is "Heaven Electric", a track from Nav Katze’s album Gentle & Elegance, which featured remixes by Autechre, Seefeel, and Sun Electric. Merging elements of IDM, ambient techno, and chillout, the song embodies an optimism reminiscent of space music while seamlessly blending a mystical Japanese aesthetic—an ambient pop masterpiece. --- The album presents 12 exquisite pop tracks infused with an ambient feeling, resonating deeply with the evolving landscape of the mid-2020s—a time of post-hyperpop and Y2K revival. Tsunaki Kadowaki (Compiler) Born in 1993 in Yonago, Tottori, Tsunaki Kadowaki is a staff member and buyer at Kyoto’s Meditations record store. He is the editor of New Age Music Disc Guide (DU BOOKS) and a contributor to Music Magazine, Record Collectors' Magazine, ele-king, and more. Kadowaki has written liner notes for multiple Japanese releases (Brian Eno, Masahiro Sugaya etc.) and runs the Sad Disco music label under Disk Union. He also curates Spotify’s official New Age Music playlist and performed as a DJ at YCAM’s Audio Base Camp #3 in 2024.

Looking behind the obvious, forming an orchestra out of everyday surroundings.
Finding the essence in the trivial, clarity in the complex, poetry in simplicity. All of this is part of the goal, meaning and character of Oh No Noh, the project of Leipzig-based guitarist, robot programmer, magnetic tape crumpler and composer Markus Rom. All of this floats and shines through "As Late As Possible", the third Oh No Noh album, which will be released on April 4th, 2025.
The focus of this album, as the title "As Late As Possible" suggests, was patience. A creative lingering, the selfimposed principle of letting ideas mature, consciously leaving them lying and looking at them again in order to discover
and refine new things. Always looking for new ways of producing musical sounds, Markus Rom has been blurring the boundaries between LoFi, Indietronica, Postrock, Kraut and Pop with his solo project for several years. His main
instruments for this are electric guitar, MIDI robots, tapes and samples. For “As Late As Possible”, Rom expands his setup with a new sound sources (acoustic guitar, banjo, organ) and musical guests: Damian Dalla Torre (Squama) on bass clarinet and Andi Haberl (the Notwist, Sun) on drums.
“As Late As Possible” continues the signature of past releases and adds new facets. Rom's distinctive looping in and over each other is particularly evident in the tracks “Missing the Point”, “Orb” and “Almost Everywhere”. With "Loot", a straightforward and folk-pop piece finds its way onto the album and coexists with math-trained tracks like "Dog Years" or "Dot", which conjure up associations with Weilheim bands like COUCH. The tracks "Bliss of Disconnect" and "Fawn" were created in collaboration with the featured guests Liz Kosack and KMRU. The confidently unplanned is one of the principles around which Oh No Noh itself is also continuously evolving. Part of this development: the radio series "Oh No Noh Radioh", which has so far consisted of over 40 parts, for which Rom invites a guest in each episode to research music together along roughly defined concepts, ideas and inspirations. Together with technology composer Hainbach, free jazz artist Limpe Fuchs and sound artist Elsa M’Bala, for example, encounters were created whose patient search and find and whose controlled coincidences also characterize “As Late As Possible” – but here concentrated, concise, and with all the love of sound and experimentation always committed to the song. With this will to create a song-like narrative, to move, to develop, “As Late As Possible” remains suspended
and searching. Its concentration seems light-footed, its happy accidents well-placed, the melancholic beauty of outdated technologies, forgotten musical toys and broken noise sources always forward-looking. Music like the one
that comes about when someone programs an entire robot band, which then becomes just a friendly part of the whole.
The artwork for “As Late As Possible” was created by Leipzig comic artist Anna Haifisch. The album was mixed by Adam Lenox and mastered by Frida Claeson Johannsson. It will be released on April 4, 2025 by TELESKOP on vinyl
and digital.
