Introducing the latest addition to the KEY Vinyl family: Irish artist Casey Fables, who takes the steering wheel for the next sonic endeavour.
An EP pumped with tight minimalism, sampled, groovy techno. From end-to-end it's paced with a teasing sort of reserve and sleek progression that works equally well on the dancefloor or headphones. It's a funky, slippery and sophisticated ride into the centre of the modern dance floor and highly recommended to those that know. Opening with 'Heilung', Fables showcases his knowledge of track building through subtlety and restraint. It's one that ebbs and flows, snakes and seduces with a tensile, minimalist groove control. A2 'Krava' is a massive TIP - simply very tasty, hard-to-resist techno. Here the artist smudges all sharp contours for a more dubbed, swinging groove. Note well the breathed vocal which adds to an impeccable layered construction, creating a lovely puzzle of tempos. On with the flip, 'Blumen' maintains a moderate, laid-back flare while diving deeper into sensorial displays through gritty textures and sporadic bleeps. A DJ tool with all the frills trimmed for streamlined mixing potential. Closing the release is 'Late Night Liquor Store', a fun, funky and fresh piece with a full-bodied 4/4 template and once again smudged voices for an extra boost of intrigue.

'Effective' is the word of the day, as it marks a steady consistency throughout both sides.
Kayak is an EP entirely dedicated to highlighting rhythmic compositions and their subsequent effect on the body. A1introduces a multitude of metallic layers, from a consistent ringing tone on the background to the coming and going of highly clanging rides- yet, maintaining pounding low ends. Get2definitely hits the hardgroove shelf of your collection.
Second in comes Delta which extends the tribal edge of its predecessor, adding a layer of sensuality and seduction. Engineering a thoughtful interplay between suavity and strength, this track is guaranteed to do the do. Big room killer.
Time to flip the vinyl now, and well... Fasten your seatbelts dear listeners and dancers. B1 is fun and dynamic, minimalistic and most importantly, powerful. In between the fuel efficient percussions and drum patterns comes in a witty snippeted vocal, which adds to building up the exquisitely constructed rhythmic tension of the track. De Angelis opens the records with a full burst of energy. A1 is proper loopy peak time material, constituted by a rhythmic crescendo of elements and a blend of trimmed funky vocals. This one will make you smile. With 'Black Lights' the energy shifts to a more eccentric, dark place. A2 focuses all around on the creation of an atmosphere- a moment charged with intensity and hypnotism. The chubby lows and the absence of bold high sleave plenty of space for incredibly overlapped bleepy layers and textures.

For the flip side, 'Delta 1' proposes a continuation of the bleepy direction of its former. A sinister, aggressive temper but with a softened, almost melancholic essence. Its pulsating kick drumsare tempting, paired with more dramatic analogue synth effectsand old-school aura- let's call it modern space-age drama. B2 then concludes the sonic journey with a positive charm, almost acting as the light at the end of the tunnel. Funky arps allow space for a slow build up and a more loose energy, giving a well-deserved breather from previous intensity. Indeed, 'Halob' closes the driving, intense EP with a bit of sunny sunshine which in the midst of darkness, we all crave. More

Producer and live artist Dold jumps into KEY Vinyl with fibrillating, fully charged rollers. With a potently effective gear on both sides, the Swedish artist proposes a cluster of proper loopy peak time material.

Welcoming us into the Dold realm is Loop 1, serving some big room shunts and non-invasive waterfalls of bleeps. Shakers step in to round up the atmosphere and shortly after, hats come through guiding us on track with the rhythm. Loop 2 heads into orbit powered by a macabre atmosphere and heavy pendulous bassline- a KEY trademark.

And then comes the flip side... Oh the flip side... Here we are launched into a void of hypnotic repetition and mind-bending, deep brain stimulators. In the midst of plangent sonic devices, B1's groove appears more
reserved as quivering synth tones pirouette between labyrinthine, metallic whirrs. Yet, the undulating bass locks our
feet in a pacing, rhythmic spiral. With Loop 3 the mind is allowed to float into abstracted, mystical soundscapes as the body is coaxed into the rumbles of the low ends. B2 closes off the ride with a joyful, dubbed out Detroit funk. Panned arpeggios fill the room with positivity- it will be impossible not to smile.

With "Message From The Error System" we dive into an abyss of icy blue vibrations. Just like the alternate rising and falling of the tide, so does this track expand and breathe through a cyclical recurrence of the groove... Cycles and repetition. A cinematic, abrasive polyrhythm will drown all your senses as the
frequencies increase and increase. And so does the tension. Until... all of a sudden.. The frequency is lost... no more life signals... You feel alone in the cold. You are scared. But slowly... Hope grabs your hand from the water... takes you on the shore and slowly dries your tired and wet body.

The storm has passed. Clearing our heads from this apocalyptic sonic journey, B1 jumps in with a distracting and high energy looped cut. A classic, dance-floor oriented percussive and versatile track. Once again, repetition marks a fundamental element of the KEY family.

Fast, nervous, incisive. With Rebecca Delle Piane, you really can't go wrong. Class 98', Fondi born and Terracina based Italian artist joins the KEY crew with an unmistakable four tracker EP.

"Creatures of the night" takes our hand into a paranoid and distorted bleepy delirium. Everything is unnerving. A harsh, almost discordant mixture where the title clearly renders the idea of its content.

A2 "Personal Prison", softens down the confusion and guides the listener a bit deeper into the rabbithole... The atmosphere is ominous. Kickdrums are round and steady while crisp, subtle hats fill all the blank 4x4 spots. Seething strings play with odd bells, all rounded off by a rolling, groovy, beat.

Up next goes "La Vita Di Allora", which in italian translates 'the life of back then'- a sentimental title which reminisces an undefined past or moment. The first element which stands out of the composition is a thick, vibrating bassline, which blends in with distorted snippets of the vocal. Definitely a dancefloor weapon for the high momentums... And for sweat.

Last but not least, B2 concludes the release by developing the bleepy madness into a more grounding cut. A smooth grain delay provides texture to the hi's, while toms take your attention to the low frequencies once again. A general sound which will make you feel a different kind of energy. Sinister and cavernous, with a high dose of adrenaline rush. A continuation of KEY's exploration of the abysses of horror-based sonic narrations. More

Inaugurating their first ever vinyl release, KEY Vinyl welcomes young Argentinian duo Translate & Pulso.

Mischievous, sci-fi oriented, yet groovy and grounding sounds. And so it goes: "Ocular Optics" initiates the tour by offering a more laid-back, tooly cadence. Common thread between all tracks, A1 introduces a bleepy arp sequence adding dimension to the strong percussive elements. A punchy kick drum and snippets of a vocal top the whole off- one for layering. "Global Agreement" slightly changes the emotional gear to a more sinister, obscure energy. Powerful low frequencies merge with fluent pads and mysterious bleeps creating a very special ambience- tip.

Proceeding on the B side, "Nodes 2962" definitely makes an impression... A macabre soundtrack shadowing the night deeds of Krueger... Lastly, "Backup Quest" extends the eerie atmosphere which is glued beneath rich, atmospheric textures.

Definitely a pick for the dance floors ! More

"Controlled Impulses" presents Jeroen Search's first solo debut on KEY Vinyl. Known for his bleepy mind-bending sound signature, the Dutch artist once again proves his mastery in the art of production. With this album, Search exposes his creative versatility by delving into an exquisitely dreamy reality. Rather than a dance floor oriented selection, "Controlled Impulses" contains a more cinematic, melodic inclination- an ode to the capacity of music to transport the listener to other worldly dimensions.

The album is crafted to be a phonic journey, where "Sky Hook" functions as the entry portal.

Soft pads are accompanied by a low cheeky bassline and the classic Search bleeps resulting in a magic lullaby. With "Atmospheric Entry" the artist guides us into a deep, dubby grove- still maintaining a strong emotional density. Up and next goes the B side with "Processor Six" and "Kontrol Freak". Here things start to get bouncy, as B1 warms up the energy with a partial broken kick drum and peeping cymbals. B2 announces the climax of the album's journey where the spheric hypnotic soundscape meets a punchy rhythmic construction. The kind of track that makes you want to know what kind of morning routine Apiento has on a weekday, "The Orange Place" is simply an underground dancefloor classic of the 2010's that makes you realise something very special was going on with Paul Byrne's Astrological charts at the time. In his innocent words: "This was made in 2013 in a studio in East London. It was sort of made for like dark clubs that just have that glowing light which is why it was named ‘The Orange Place’. It’s fun to hear in the club as you know what it is from the first conga hits." A galloping chugger known to do serious damage on well oiled dancefloors like Pikes in Ibiza with DJ Harvey at the reins. Pure Sleazy Belgian Indiana Jones vibes, impossible to forget and very timeless, if you didn't get in on the first pressings, don't sleep on another chance. Now with full cover artwork and additional dubbed out afro cosmic remix by Castro.

Mathias Kaden returns to Rekids with the 'Circulate' EP, featuring a William Kiss Remix.

Mathias Kaden is back on Rekids after 2022’s ‘Blackbird’ EP, this time with the four-track ‘Circulate’ EP featuring a remix from the hotly tipped William Kiss. Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ kicks things off with stripped-back machine rhythm, tasteful stab melodies and a deeply satisfying low-end groove before an iconic gospel vocal joins in. Title track ‘Circulate’ is another infectious low-slung crawler with crunchy synth hits and a hypnotic and classy vibe that will get the dancefloor moving.

On the flip, William Kiss remixes Mathias Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ following his recent EP on Rekids' sibling label RSPX and the release of his collaborative project, Not Without Friends, with Luke Alessi and Jordan Brando on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue. Kiss turns the track into a pumping peak-time cut with additional percussion and plenty of his signature Jackin’
flavour. Closing out the record, Kaden’s ‘Twisting Shadows’ introduces an acidic bassline and warped, dubbed-out vocals before dropping into an energetic trip.

Active since the mid-90s, Mathias Kaden appeared on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time in 2019 for ‘Liberate Drums’. He now returns to the label with the ‘Circulate’ EP, adding to his versatile discography on labels like Dyinamic and Vakant while also remixing work by Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Anja Schneider, and Trentemöller.
