Two brilliant tracks from the talanted Sam Redmore have been paired together for the 12" vinyl and remix treatment. Firstly, we have Just Can't Wait - an anthem of love and togetherness, featuring a sublime vocal by fellow Birmingham artist Lumi HD. In its original form it is a timeless disco house cut with soaring strings and a Salsoul-inspired horn arrangement. This musical combination proved too difficult to resist for Kid Crème who comes in on remix duties (doesn't happen often!) to complete side A on the record. On the flip is Sam's collaboration with hotly tipped UK artist SANITY, whose vocals embody storytelling as an art form, encased within a distinctive blend of grime, hip-hop and jazz. Sam had heard SANITY release an absolute belter of a collaboration with DJ Zinc, and from that moment he knew she was the MC he needed to elevate One More Time to the exuberant afro-house banger we hear today. In 2009, Jalapeno Records was approached with some incredible music by the super talented Mixmonster and Schoolmaster, founding members of the jazz funk band 'The Apples'. Produced under their 'Radio Trip' moniker, the album was a glorious cut & paste journey into sound, with overtones of musique concrete, brought to life by their fascination with vinyl culture, turntablism and sampling. The first EP taken from the album featured the up-tempo 'Computers Singing' with its crunchy drums, organic horn stabs, bleep FXs, synth bass tones and a myriad of sampled vocals, all deftly arranged into a constantly evolving b boy battle weapon. Now released for the first time on a limited 45, this little gem also features the sought-after psych-funk remix by fellow DJ, digger and music archivist Markey Funk, who is another a staple of the Israeli groove scene. For German musicians the mid-70s to mid-80s were an extremely fertile and fruitful time. Though The Peace Chant series is focused mainly on amateur bands, private pressings, and long lost acetates, many of the artists included here nevertheless made their mark upon the German and world music scene and even played with many of the giants of the movement.

As the 60s were coming to a close, many German musicians began experimenting with fusing jazz, rock, pop, electronic, and world music with a harder, more aggressive sound. The resulting movement, originally called "kosmische music" or "cosmic music" would give way to the kaleidoscope of sounds now known as Krautrock.

Many labels and compilations, not to mention reissues have been focused on this moment and in many ways, today, there could be said to be a global revival in the art form by younger, modern bands. But this is where Tramp Records, always peeking behind the curtain, has decided to take "the road less traveled" as we trust them to do. This edition of the Peace Chant series explores the artists that, instead of going full steam ahead in the rock and world music direction, decided to play the role of 'spiritual advisor' to the movement and continue building a legacy of jazz and pop infusions to their more rock-oriented counterparts. Of course, there may not have been much commercial appeal of these recordings and many of them fell into obscurity. But it is thanks to the tireless efforts of Tramp Records that we are able to catch a glimpse of what undoubtedly the Giants of the genre at the time were already well aware of and likely being influenced by. As you will see, many of the artists in this compilation went on to become music teachers and mentors in their own right and surely influenced the course of music history in Germany. Now their stories are finally being told. And though the music is amazing on its own, it is truly astounding when cast in its historical context. This landmark compilation continues the unfoldment of diabolically obscure yet culturally and artistically essential recordings that have been hidden and precariously balanced on the precipice of obsolescence.

Label and collaborative musical collective,+33JOYannounces its 12 inch remix record, one year on from the well received 'Wellness Project' by Bopperson & Bikbaye. A year since and the same message applies, four UK based produces step up consolidating the message with their unique takes rubbing the tunes for the dancefloor, 'The Wellness Remixes' London based music for film and TV master, Frankson steps up with his trademark spacious found sound and atmospheric collage that add even more beauty to the original composition. A remix that could easily book end any DJ set, with the focus fully remaining on Bikbaye's important message. "Having struggled with my own mental health over the last few years, this project really resonated with me, so I'm hugely honored to be part of it. My Frankson project has provided a great deal of solace and healing for me on a personal level and subsequently being involved in the Wellness Project, has felt like an incredibly positive extension of that." Next up K15, a prolific name that also comes in his Culross Close guise. Having released on Kyle Hall's Wild Oats label, he sends the track 'Consumption' even further into eyes down deepness. The Rhodes and percussion shuffle together and later the track boasts huge lower frequencies that will mesmerize any dancer. Brighton's Titeknots irons out and squares up'Changes', taking it to the tropics. By adding hypnotic guitars and even more rhythmic percussion this one dances along. Michael J. Blood, mysterious punk funk producer who's slowly been carving out his own gnarly techno journey since 2019, has turned in a cavernous monster of a remix. This one earning a respectful full side of the EP, a near 15 minute stepper that jumps stright in at the deep end. London-based experimentalists Kinkajous have announced their new studio album, Nothing Will Disappear, set for release on October 18th via Nottingham's Running Circle label. There are echoes of Sam Shepherd's collaborative work with Pharoah Sanders as Floating Points, and the subtle timbre shifts of Jon Hopkins and James Holden more so than their capital-"J" jazz contemporaries.
