Voila: "1982
the band Karat released their album "The Blue Planet". The one of the same name the single reached gold status (at that time) in East and West Germany and has just become a cult song in the former east of the country. 40 years later text and music have not lost their topicality. Reason enough for that Berliner, Oliver Marquardt aka Dj Jauche, with members of the band to put together and record the "Blue Planet" again. All traces were newly recorded, reconstructed and reassembled.
Marquardt first reconstructed a version based on the original in order to to be able to produce more mixes based on this. So for the first time there is one new recording of the song, with Claudius Dreilich as the vocal part, which since many years the role of frontman and singer on "Karat", from his father, has taken over.
"It was important to us the character of the Keeping the originals was one of the fundamental ideas behind the Reissue of the title."

Voilá: "1982 veröffentlichte die Band Karat ihr Album "Der blaue Planet". Die gleichnamige Singleauskopplung erreichte, (damals) in Ost- und Westdeutschland, Goldstatus und avancierte gerade im ehemaligen Osten des Landes zum Kultsong. 40 Jahre später haben Text und Musik nicht an Aktualität verloren. Grund genug für den Berliner, Oliver Marquardt aka Dj Jauche, sich mit Mitgliedern der Band zusammen zu setzen und den "Blauen Planeten" neu aufzunehmen. Alle Spuren wurden neu aufgenommen, rekonstruiert und neu zusammen gefügt. Marquardt rekonstruierte als Erstes, eine an das Original angelegte Version, um davon ausgehend weitere Mixe produzieren zu können. Zum ersten Mal gibt es somit eine neue Aufnahme des Songs, mit Claudius Dreilich als Gesangspart, welcher seit vielen Jahren die Rolle des Frontmann und Sängers bei "Karat", von seinem Vater, übernommen hat.
"Wichtig war es uns den Charakter des Originals beizubehalten, dies war einer der grundlegenden Gedanken bei der Neuauflage des Titels."

Figure is excited to welcome IGLO to the roster, a promising new talent in techno. With a background in classical music, IGLO began his journey with the renowned Thomanerchor Leipzig before moving on to play guitar in bands. His diverse musical experience informs his unique approach to techno, merging classical influences with modern electronic production.
On his debut EP for Figure, IGLO presents a collection of tracks that showcase his skill in blending solid rhythms, deep atmospheres, and rich textures. The opening track, Neverplace, introduces the EP with dubby chords and rave-inspired vocals, setting a late-night tone with emotional depth. Recovery follows, featuring a groovy bassline and a spoken word sample that enhances the track’s immersive feel. In Tell Me Everything, IGLO moves into snappier rhythms, with looping elements and a distant vocal that adds a mysterious edge. Ich möchte ein Eisbär sein…Written by Martin Eicher after a nightmare in which he saw talking polar bears on the walls, and with music by the Grauzone crew consisting of Martin and his brother Stephan Eicher, Marco Repetto, Christian "GT" Trüssel, and Claudine Chirac (on saxophone), "Eisbär" is the most recognizable title from the band, a sublime mix of ingredients reflecting the transitional era it comes from - the raw energy of punk music still palpable, combined with the audacity of early electronics, the warm groove of a disco gem, beautifully fragile lyrics, and one of the best basslines ever. It became a mega hit, totally unplanned, but how could you resist such a track?

"FILM 2" is the ultimate b-side monster, a menacing all-instrumental pre-techno masterpiece, slowly building to a magnetizing frenzy. An instant underground favorite, it was famously heard played at both speeds depending on the scenes and DJs you were frequenting, 45rpm as it was first intended, and 33rpm for the cosmic experience (search Daniele Baldelli’s Cosmic C75 1982 mixtape online for a great example of this).

The maxi single ends with "Ich Lieb Sie", a synth-pop meets doo-wop ballad, a true love song oozing with innocence. Simple, stylish, and just right.

At the crossroads of post-punk, new wave, pop, and electronic experimentation, the Eisbär maxi offers three songs that are technically different but hold the same spirit, the perfect embodiment of Grauzone’s music - wild, unpredictable, and youthful, yet sophisticated, catchy, and ingenious. The magic recipe for the good stuff.

Stephan Eicher went on to be, arguably, the most successful Swiss musician ever, with an international career extending from pop chanson to experimental escapades and collaborations with Moondog, artists Sophie Calle and John Armleder, and author Martin Suter among many other luminaries. Marco Repetto flourished as a techno and ambient producer, releasing multiple projects including releases on Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label.

Grauzone and WRWTFWW will continue to collaborate on the band’s 40th anniversary reissue campaign, with numerous projects planned for the year, including a vast selection of music, visuals, and literature never available before.

Oxia's classic 'Domino' gets reworked for it's ten year anniversary - in 2 vinyl parts.

A decade after initially seeing the light, Oxia's now classic 'Domino' get's reworked to celebrate it's anniversary. The new release features a new cut by Oxia himself as well as several remixes by none other than Frankey & Sandrino, Robag Wruhme and Matador. The EP will be released through Agoria's newly found record label Sapiens on February 24th.

Ten years ago the track made waves in the international dance music circuit, striking up chords with techno, trance and house DJs alike to quickly become an all-time classic. Having never expected the track to reach the status that it his, it's a very dear project to Oxia and he needed quite some persuading to give in and let Agoria and his team create something that was worthy of the original. The set of tracks are the first officially commissioned remixes by Oxia ever.

COEO back on Toy Tonics! The German duo has been part of Toy Tonics since day one. Now they celebrate their return to Toy Tonics with an outstanding EP full of timeless, contemporary house music that also marks their 10th contribution to the label after their first release on the imprint 10 years ago. Their house vibes have been defining the sound of the Toy Tonics label for many years and still now they regularly play the Toy Tonics events around the world. (The Toy Tonics Jams).

On this new EP one more time the boys dive deep into the Italo & Piano House world- getting more electronic than ever. This EP is 100% in the vibe of now. With great piano chord drops that make everybody scream on the dance floor, with horn and synth melodies that you can sing along after you heard them one time only and with classic house beats that are THE sound of today.

The main title “Nostalgia” is inspired by and a tribute to all the intimate and ecstatic moments they were able to share over the years with music lovers on festivals and in clubs around the world. While the piano house theme on the A1 brings you in that festive mood of your last summer festival you have been to with your closest friends, the second track of the EP „Breeze“ takes it on a higher energetic level and combines a funky bass guitar with progressive house elements. Remember that special moment when you were attending your first full moon party in that far away country after you have finished school? That gentle wind blowing through the trees? „Breeze“ could be the soundtrack of that adventure.

On the B side Italo house influenced „Meet me at the cascades“ captivates through an hypnotic approach and unfolds dreamy synth pads and arpeggios to take you on a imaginary journey to your favourite retreat, a place you feel safe.

The EP features 3 original tracks and also a remix by COEO friends Stump Valley. The former Dekmantel artists who now joined Toy Tonics. Stump Valley btw are Francesco and Aleksei. Aleksei also works under the name of Brian de Palma and will release a solo album soon on Peggy Gou’s label Gudu. Stump Valley‘s remix of „Nostalgia“ rounds up the EP with its stand out piano solo and marks the perfect end to an EP that is meant to stay in your head just like all those intense memories which life in general evokes.

Arguably one of Get Physical’s most influential tracks, ‘O Superman’ sees a new release with remixes
from Man Power and SIS alongside the 2008 version from Robag Whrume and a remaster of the now

Man Power kicks off the new interpretations with an epic, ten and half minute version that patiently
stretches the original’s melodies into pads and held bass tones across crisp, micro-house styled beats
before unleashing loose, clattering breakbeats after a striking, extended breakdown.
SIS’s dreamy, percussive version sees the German producer in hypnotic, and tracky form, focussing

Fimiani who made this track, inspired by a rare old song from the 1970ies played all instruments himeself with a group of friends (no samples).

WSNWG continues it's collaborative story with label head Rødhåd and upcoming Dj and producer Ignez.

With the label's love for nature and like-minded interests from Ignez, their mutual affinity laid the foundation for a profound collaboration in composing a novel sonic narrative. Only released in October 2006, Anders Trentemøller‘s stunning debut-album „The Last Resort“ already evolved into one of the most successful independent albums of the year. Raving reviews all over the place, various elections as „album of the year“ and solid playlists at the radios express the huge interest in the fantastic album. While 2006 has been topped of with a tour through Australia, the first Trentemøller highlight in 2007 will be the release of „Moan“, the second single from the album. For the a-side Trentemøller himself created a brilliant remix of the „Moan“-Vocal Version, which has been released on the Bonus-CD of the limited edition album only. Trentemøller managed to keep the mystic melancholic vibe of the track featuring the vocals of danish talent Ane Trolle, but adds punshy drums, screaming synths and some more guitars to guarantee serious dancefloor-action. Radioslave aka Matt Edwards aka Rekid aka Quite Village, on of the most in demand remix artists at the moment (Moby, Booka Shade, Justice, Peace Division, Pet Shop Boys, Joakim etc) contributed a great remix on the flipside. Slowly building over reduced drumpatterns their mix culminates into a manic wall of sound. While Poker Flat 81 features the vocal versions of both Trentemøller‘s and Radioslve‘s remixes, the instrumental and dub versions will be released simultaneously

On Figure X45 we are presenting a new up and coming artist, Jancen. With only a handful releases under his belt, this promising young dutchman delivers immaculate productions that veer between the deep and the jacking, always powerful and driving but with a strong sense of groove pervading throughout.

His opener Quintessence leans on the hypnotic side, distilling the effect of a mesmerizingly simple loop reduced to the beauty of its essential elements. Racking up the momentum is tightly bouncing Elusive, riding a funky acid riff that transforms the track into one of those unexpected moments of raising the energy mid-set.
On the B-side, Jancen showcases his talent of building mind-expanding dub-techno excursions, as the echoes of Diminished Dub roll out while even packing some proper propulsive percussion on top! Final track Unattributed takes us way down the rabbit hole into atmospheric trippy territory as searing hats pave the path ever further into the belly of the beast.
For buyers of the digital package, Frostbite sits somewhere in between all of the above, combining sparse stabs of resonant synths with thumping kicks and a pumping rhythm to find that complex equilibrium of depth and charge…
