Nuron continues his journey on De:tuned with another selection of unearthed DAT tape gems! Nurmad Jusat aka Nuron / Fugue moved to the UK in the mid 80s. Soon after he went to his first warehouse party. A real eye-opening experience that inspired Nurmad to produce his own music. The first wave of early house and techno records from Chicago and Detroit influenced an entire generation. Nuron became one of the originators of the UK emotive techno sound with his unique and distinctive style. Fast forward a couple of years to when this compilation of archived DAT tape material was recorded. In the late 90s Nurmad was living back in Malaysia. House music was just starting to be played in the underground clubs over there. It was a great time and the vibe was very much like when Nuron went to raves in the UK in 1989-1990. House music all night long!

Belgian independent label De:tuned celebrates 15 years with an expansive series of new releases throughout 2024. Founded in 2009 by Ruben Boons and Bert Hermans, De:tuned and British influential electronic music pioneers The Future Sound Of London team up to mark the beginning of its momentous 15th anniversary.
The inimitable Future Sound Of London grace De:tuned with 'Pulse Five', the 5th installment and follow-up to the classic Pulse EP series. 'Pulse Five' contains 8 tracks of previously unreleased DAT tape material from the early 90s. These unheard vintage recordings date back to the era of FSOL's much sought after classic singles and highly acclaimed Accelerator album. The distance from Ricardo's last field trip "Thé au Harem d'Archimède" (PERL43) in 2004 to the present epic 5x12"LP-Set is a galaxy of electronic expression through sound independent from time and pace. It is said that Funk is defined by the notes that are not being played. The space between the notes here is so vast that Funk becomes transformed into the spirit that creates unfathomable emotional adventure. The rules of dynamics between 0 and 1 shift the relation from reality to relaxation. 14 freefloat sessions are made of natural, secret ingredients from the limbic system of astro aztecs. They evolve from rituals, ending in the release of the sinuous percussion ghost from the machine who breathes out a score for easy living. Which sounds like a primordial soup aerosol of funky molecules and molluscs. More

Following on from September's "Sonic Underworld EP" by Shlomi Aber & Kashpitzky, James Ruskin's label delivers another first as Chloe Lula presents her Blueprint Records debut with the "Torpor EP".Her debut on Blueprint, "Torpor" is a reflection of her stylistic evolution, bringing the sounds of ambience and synths into a clean, contemporary techno framework.
Chloe is a resident DJ at Tresor. She's played at Berghain, Boiler Room, Khidi, Movement weekend in Detroit, and countless clubs, festivals and parties across Asia, Europe, and North and South America alongside artists like Kanding Ray, Helena Hauff and Lewis Fautzi, becoming known for atmospheric, acidic sets that dig deep into the niche recesses of techno. In addition to her career as a DJ and producer, Lula is a cellist-her debut instrumental full-length will be out on James Ginzburg's Subtext label in November 2024-and the senior producer of Resident Advisor, where she hosts and curates panels and interviews as a broadcast journalist at festivals like Nuits Sonores, Dekmantel, Unsound, Rewire and more.
