Silat Beksi makes an emphatic return to the fore of his label Modeight, and this time he's in the collaborative company of Moscow's finest Swoy. The pair are a match made in heaven, as they traverse a multitude of sonic destinations on their aptly titled "Starburst" EP.
With their granular approaches to production well established, the pair take off with the deep undulations of "Allophone". A groove that bangs beneath a shimmer of silver tones. "Pro2" continues the journey with it's upbeat bassline swagger, and raucous key strokes.
On the flip side "The Escapist" pours ultra dreamy pads like liquid over powerful rhythmic flow, until at least we finish with the heart warming heights of the title track "Starburst". With an effortlessly refined collab like this, we hope its not their last.

Silat Beksi makes an emphatic return to the fore of his label Modeight, and this time he's in the collaborative company of Moscow's finest Swoy. The pair are a match made in heaven, as they traverse a multitude of sonic destinations on their aptly titled "Starburst" EP.
With their granular approaches to production well established, the pair take off with the deep undulations of "Allophone". A groove that bangs beneath a shimmer of silver tones. "Pro2" continues the journey with it's upbeat bassline swagger, and raucous key strokes.
On the flip side "The Escapist" pours ultra dreamy pads like liquid over powerful rhythmic flow, until at least we finish with the heart warming heights of the title track "Starburst". With an effortlessly refined collab like this, we hope its not their last.

Once again Marek has two tracks with which he arms the planet richly, but also where the cooking spoon just explodes in the kitchen. The writer has quite a steam building upÖbut this music is just so filling, that the stomach just knows that there was a hole there.
To prepare for this first album from the Hemmann kitchen, two long sides strike a tone with a powerful punch, breathless grooves with a long puff and an empire of sounds for the endorphin thrust within and without the headphones. This isnít a construction, but rather a composition.
Exquisitely vibrating grooves with a hopping deepness, percussive elements together with a melodic party radiating in a finely sensed positivity. Itís as if you could together with Inessa and Gemini mutate into a bouncing ball. When his tracks begin to spin, that which happens to the listeners is the stuff dreams are made of.

wAFF makes a triumphant return to Hot Creations after a seven-year hiatus with his three-track, groove-driven ‘Slapfunk EP’. Since his first outing back in 2012, wAFF has been an integral part of the Hot Creations family, remixing various releases and dropping a total of four EPs - the last being ‘Sick Pleasure’ in 2016, which still stands today as a highlight in the label’s extensive catalogue. Marking a long-awaited return to Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ beloved imprint after seven years, with material via renowned labels such as Solid Grooves, Cocoon, Desolat and his very own NATURE imprint over that period further establishing him as a leading name, he arrives fresh from his third Paradise show of the season ready to ignite dancefloors with a trio of irresistible beats on ‘Slapfunk’. Title track ‘Slapfunk’ opens the release with shifting stabs, warping bass patterns and fizzing lead synths, steadily progressing into a menacing club-focused workout. Continuing his signature style, ‘Questions’ showcases a blend of pulsating beats synchronised with a warped vocal topline that enhances the allure. Finally, ‘Next Game’ delivers a punchy trip loaded with subtle minimal-leaning influences, combining chopped vocal snippets with slick, stripped-back percussion.

Steve O'Sullivan recently resurrected his much loved Mosaic imprint, and with it comes the Red Label Series. Following on from a first release by Ben Sims comes this new three track EP by Markus Suckut. In the last four years, German Suckut has established himself as a fine techno producer with credits on labels like Stroboscopic Aretfacts, Figure and his own SCKT. His grooves are tight, atmospheric and expertly crafted for maximum impact.
This EP kicks off with 'Turn On', a hunched over, hurried and minimal techno shuffler with doom laden spoken word snippets beaming in over the rubbery kicks. 'Tune In' is less direct, instead seeming to rock back and forth in one sport, with feint industrial sounds and distant rumbles permeating the thick groove, before finally 'Drop Out' is another dubbed out, shadowy and oppressive groove riddled with muted sine waves and rippling chords. Hugely textured, humid and inviting, these are three more killer tracks from Suckut and Mosaic.
