Pedro Bertho - Olha Como Ela Vem
Brazilian producer and DJ Pedro Bertho, now based in France and an active member of Lyon's electronic music scene, releases his first EP on Cracki Records.
With "Mêlé", he attempts to translate what it feels like to be a black, Brazilian man living in France in the 21st century.
A complex patchwork of experiences, accents and heritages that he translates on this powerful record, mixing baile funk, house, electro or acid house, sprinkled with TR-808 and iPhone recordings.
The mix extends to the remixes, with Brazilian underground queen Badsista signing a hard-hitting version of "Jour 4", while Chilean Alejandro Paz tackles the bouncy "3333".

Pedro Bertho - Elephants Au 5eme (My Friend Dario Remix)
Hell Yeah heads to Brazil and the cultured sounds of Pedro Bertho for a hot new 12" that features Mariana Gehring and remixes from Romain FX and My Friend Dario. The digital version includes two bonus cuts while the vinyl is the first to have all-new artwork by FJD.
Now based in France, inclusive party promoter Pedro Bertho’s music is a melting pot of sound that draws on his own personal heritage and a life spent digging for records. That means that afro rhythms, Italo melodies, rolling reggae, deep house, and plenty more all get mixed up into something new.
They have come on the likes of Cracki Records and always search out innovative ways to bring euphoria to the dance floor.
For the first tune, he works with Mariana Gehring, a Sao Paulo-based singer and composer influenced by new MPB and other signature Brazilian sounds like Forro, Maracatu and Samba.
Their excellent 'Tornei' is a mix of full-fat bass and sensuous vocals. Fizzing synths, percussion and FX bring the energy while Gehring arrives in the breakdowns to bring the spine-tingling soul. Romain FX is a scene mainstay, label head at fauve, boiler room veteran and has released on the likes of Kalahari oyster cult and many more.
His version is a retro workout with lush cosmic melodies and slinky grown-up grooves sure to get the floor full.
Next is 'Elephants au 5eme', a busy mix of analogue drums and hits, wild elephant trumpets and fleshy synths that bring unusual tropical heat to any party. The same track is remixed by label regular and new school Balearic boss my Friend Dario.
He plays with the vocals, layers in shimmering chords, and keeps things dubby to make for another of his signature grooves. More

Alsy - Soledad (Peter Dallas Remix)
For her first solo project, the French-Chilean singer Alsy has teamed up with producers Rose, Peter Dallas and Jimmy Whoo. Co- produced with Jimmy Whoo, this EP reflects the meeting of the two artists' worlds, between the nocturnal atmosphere of Motel Music and the sunny ambiance of the singer's South American influences.
With her project Candela, Alsy has imagined her own musical universe, intimate and deep, rich in the variety of her influences. The lyrics are passionate, the rhythms smooth and warm, and the project is a subtle mix of modernity and nostalgia, between steamy reggaeton, smooth synth pop and hypnotic electro.
The singer's smooth and bewitching voice is the hallmark of this debut EP, which takes us on a dreamy journey from Paris to Santiago, against a backdrop of rhythmic and atmospheric music.

Tushen Raï - Les Femmes Qui Ne Pleurent Pas
Is it really possible to create without making references? Feeling inspired without being inspired from the outer space ? With this disc, Tushen Raï comes to reconnect with his first passion, collecting records and falling in love with pieces that have unfairly fallen into oblivion, left behind, lost in the meanders of the musical hyper productivity of the 80s and 90s.
As a tribute to these unlucky melodies : he samples, he reinvents, he reconstructs. Not in the hope of giving them a second life, and without the pretention of changing their destiny. But simply to cherish them, to show them his love and his respect for what they are.
As a geographical snub, Tushen Raï chose to invite his neighbors, both producers and friends, to join forces on this trip through Peru, Finland, Italy and France. A singular record like an ode to curiosity, thought under the sign of sharing and respect.

LeonXLeon - Solid Dose (Bell Towers Remix)
More than four years after his previous EP and after having released some remixes and collaborations with Agar Agar,
Black Devil Disco Club or the Italian design studio Burro Studio, LeonxLeon comes back with a new EP, passing to the
electronic shaker the styles of music listened since the last release.
4 tracks all as different as each other with first Itanewa, where the Parisian producer tries for the first time to give voice,
without vocoder, well aware that on a track inspired by South African productions of the 80s, an instrumental version only
would not be enough to do justice. It is thus in a kind of invented Esperanto that the lyrics, a call to lightness and simplicity
according to the artist, are distilled between synthetic bass, keyboards and other percussions.
On Piano Mondo, we leave rather in the direction of South America with pianos of Bossa inspiration on a bass italo-disco,
rises and descents as if we were in Val d'Isere and breaks just long enough to catch its breath.
The idea of Solid Dose is completely different since it was a question of taking the post new-beat dance sound of the
beginning of the 90s, with a big blow, hence the title, of the synthetic bass sound "Solid Bass" which will be used in a lot
of ways at this period and which is coming back in force nowadays, and to mix it with the Nordic touch of dance music for
a soaring, evolving track, with arpegios which cross each other and an acid line which finally makes its appearance here.
The last track is a wink to the well-known movie that gave its name to the whole project: it is indeed Luc Besson's Léon
that we are talking about, re-cut on the dialogues of Nathalie Portman and Jean Reno, supported by a simple rhythmic,
analogical bass and electronic kick at the service of a dark atmosphere, closing the record at the antipodes of the first track,
without ever having left the universe of melodies and percussions that already characterized the previous releases of
LeonxLeon.

Superski - Internet Killed The Internet Star
Eliott Litrowski and Voiski’s could have done so 15 years ago, after a first meeting in Paris on the Island of Swans, during a ‘Free Party’ event shut down by the police. But it didn’t. Each one followed his own way, and if their paths crossed many times, they only began collaborating in 2021.
Cracki Records’s 10th anniversary Compilation was the trigger: the two artists locked themselves in the studio to create what has become since their signature sound: The Friendship Spacecake, a perfect alliance, driven by their common love for analogic synthesizers, between Eliott Litrowski’s hybrid electro and Voiski’s post-trance.
Neither of them wanted to stop at this stage. One is living in Copenhagen, the other in Paris, yetcreating an album together quickly became the next obvious step.
This common desire led to the beginning of the suitably called Superski duo: a great name that encapsulates both artists’ committed live performances, their unusual musical language, between electro, trance and Italo, and their vision of an uncompromising, colorful and positive club culture.
Oberheim 6, Jupiter 8, TR808, Roland JX8P, Microwave XT and FutureRetro XS, all synthesizers are limitlessly pushed to their last breath, creating an almost retro-futuristic decor for the artiststo evolve in.
Their debut album “Mondo Moderno” will be out March 31st

Romain FX - Crave Cave Rave
The French-Hong Kong DJ and producer Romain FX, founder of Fauve Radio and Fauve Records,
debuts on Cracki Records !
After having made his mark on renowned labels such as Exploited, Eskimo Recordings, Novaj V‚µ,
LAGASTA, Fantastic Voyage, Mamie's Records or Hard Fist Records, the ultra-productive artist is about
to release Le Sucre d'Adam a new EP of 4 tracks and 2 remixes with the Parisian label Cracki Records.
Mixing Italian dream house, jazz, and Italo Disco, Romain FX wanted to create with this EP a
timeless record and convey a message of hope for a better world.
The first track "Zeste d'Orange" is full of joyful emotions, with a feeling of unity and sharing, strongly
influenced by 80-90's pop songs like "Rise Up" by The Parachute Club, and "Send Me On My Way" by
Rusted Roots.
With its melancholic keyboards, "Le Sucre d'Adam" is a pure concentrate of Italo Dream House, and
it's not a coincidence that Romain FX entrusted the remix of the track to the German Lauer, specialist of
the genre.
"Italominati" with its powerful bass, draws him in the field of the fairy, influenced by artists like Todd
Terje or Skatebard. It is the Korean producer Shubostar, new figure of the dark disco scene, who took
care of the remix for a very effective cosmic version !
Last track of the EP, "Crave Cave Rave" with its Rave UK and progressive house accents was
imagined as a long DJ Set closing. Intense and heavy at the beginning, the track ends with a feeling of
extreme release, closing the EP in the most beautiful way.

Technology For The Afterlife - Interpretation of Eternity
Technology for the Afterlife (aka Victor Groth) is an ambient/new age
artist from Denmark, set to release his debut album Interpretations of
Eternity on Cracki Records in the spring.
The instrumental album explores the frontiers between faith and knowledge,
consciousness and oblivion, past and future. It is about longing for a time
when rationality and spirituality are not arch enemies, but one and the same.
When there is neither science nor religion: Only mythology.

B3. The Sardines Dance (Zombies In Miami Remix)
For his first solo EP, Tushen Raï designed a record in the form of a colorful patchwork of
sounds, a meticulous collage of samples, surrounding noises and synthesizers. Here, Maori
percussion dug on field recording discs from the late 60s and 70s meet Indonesian chants
recorded on phones and posted anonymously online. A nostalgic yet deeply contemporary
testimony to an imagination weakened resulting from the cultural globalization.
With Drums Circles, Tushen Raï wants to reconnect with the adventure novels, from
Jules Vernes to Barjavel, which nourished his childhood. Thought out as an ode to the
diversity of our cultures, our practices and our beliefs, Drums Circles is a cry in favor of
open-mindedness and curiosity. It is an invitation to discovery rather than to conquest.
A humble invitation to embark on a journey and to collective trance. More

Armand Bultheel is half of the group Agar Agar. He also makes music on his own, which he now feels ready to present to the world.
He composed an album, Lullabies For Computer which will be his first to be released on vinyl.
It's a series of lullabies, addressed to our computers that so often accompany us in bed and sleep - even if in the end, while composing the tracks, Armand felt more like writing them for his friends. With this album, he presents a sensitive and organic electronic music, whose softness provokes a contrast of emotions between joy and melancholy.
Happy to share these tunes, he put in the softest ingredients possible, with round bass and little melodies that wander over.
He slipped in the colors of his favorite synths, one of which he made in the shape of a human mouth.
Lullabies for Computers is the second part of the new "Meditations" series from Cracki Records, a series of records made to listen (for once) to escape and dream.

To celebrate the 10 years of our label Cracki Records, we decided to offer you a new compilation that is not only a look back to the past, gathering the tracks that have marked the history of Cracki, but also a projection towards the future with the association, in a same project, of artists that have always been important for us. Our wish is to recreate the constellation of friendly and sincere influences that surrounds us through exclusive featurings and remixes.
In addition to our usual foals, on this compilation we will meet our friends Juan Wauters, Chassol, David Numwami, Lord Apex, NxxxxxS, Myd, Voiski, Tryphème, Myth Syzer and Black Devil Disco Club.
With these new collaborations, these encounters that go beyond borders, Cracki Records is projecting itself towards unknown territories, always in search of offering its audience innovative projects, against the trends and mercantile imperatives. The artistic bubbling, the sensitivity and the human connection will always come first.

Mangabey presents "Illusion" his first EP to be released on the Parisian label Cracki Records ! Analogical house, groove, melodies, chords and improvisations specific to jazz, the whole infused with the codes of a more modern Chicago House, the 6 tracks of this record intend to leave their mark on the new school year!
Driven since childhood by a growing passion for synthesizers and other "drum machines", José Fehner quickly launched the Mangabey project in order to unite his two main influences: jazz and Afro-American music.
He thus creates his own style : an analogical house mixing groove, melodies, chords and improvisations specific to jazz, with the codes of a more modern Chicago House. To his credit, EP's signed on Toy Tonics, Apparel Wax or Boussole Records !

French synth-pop talent Lucien & The Kimono Orchestra unveils his new solo piano album, a journey into cinematic soundscapes
Alone at the piano, Lucien takes us on a very personal album in a deep and quiet reverie. We spend a soft winter morning in his company, reminiscing about tender childhood memories.
Between previously unreleased tracks and revisited Kimono Orchestra pieces, "Piano Matinée" concludes a trilogy of recordings which have barely been released, while paving the way for a wider future. Universal, sensitive, cinematographic, the piano language spoken here by Lucien opens us to his musical world in a light that is both more authentic and accessible.
The album also tells us a personal story. That of a grandfather - an exceptional pianist but forced to give up his career when the Second World War broke out - who passed on to him a taste for music in his early childhood, before passing away.
Many years later, Lucien came across old cassette recordings of his eldest son, soon afterwards having a disturbing dream in which he swore he had had a dialogue with him and decided to go his own way. The self-taught musician spent a whole year honing his piano skills before deciding to freeze his performance in the summer of 2019 at the legendary Steinway at the Studios Saint-Germain.
Drawing freely on all his influences - jazz, funk, classical, cinema - Lucien's "Piano Matinée" is a special object, as intimate as it is melodious.

Short Info:
Mark Du Mosch and Eliott Litrowski.
This is the new association that makes up our Vâhana #2. This unique alliance perfectly represents what Cracki Records wishes to create and transmit with its project "Vâhana", i. e. the meeting between an established artist and an artist in the making.
On the one hand, the experienced Dutch producer, respected by the entire electronic scene thanks to his raw and emotional work.
In the imagery of Cracki Records, he would be the equivalent of the Indian god Ganesh, a huge elephant symbol of intelligence and power, who came to illuminate the minds of all with his extensive knowledge.
At his side, Eliott Litrowski, the young French revelation living in Copenhagen, with mad energy and boundless creative ambitions. At the head of his own label "Fuego International", he also recently released "Smock Machine", the latest release on David Vunk's label Moustache Records.
Eliott here represents the "Vâhana" of the god Ganesh, i. e. his mount, which is represented in Indian Mythology by a malicious and stirring little mouse. Thanks to his help, the imposing Ganesh can finally get everywhere and solve all the problems.
For this Vâhana #2, elephant Mark and mouse Eliott join forces and offer us a two-part adventure.
Eliott opens the ball with "Fistebar", and sends us to distant horizons, with a gentle introduction dressed in cosmic arpegiators. "Hello wave" then takes us aboard a spaceship for a wild and rich race in suspense, before moving on to the song "Peace zone". Contrary to what its name suggests, this excited title is a real intersidereal war zone where lasers are flying.
The second part, directed by Mark du Mosch, brings us back to earth.
The inspirations on this side originate below the earth's surface, in the heat of the planet's liquid core. "Liquo & Patchou" offers us an introduction in the form of romantic and dreamy poetry, before "Stormwatch", a raw and rough piece, symbolizes the explosion of the Ep's outlet. This second side finally ends with "P2 Lush Dub", a vaporous and mysterious outro, closing this record by already letting us dream of the next one."

Short Info:
French electro-pop band Lucien & The Kimono Orchestra presents Hayao's Garden, their new EP, which closes the triptych of the two previous albums.
This is an imaginary road trip in agreement with the previous records, we find the usual groove to psychedelic flights while keeping these melancholic melodies dear to Kimonos.
The beginnings of this EP are also based on remarkable encounters, especially with Gregory (Point G), the spiritual guide who pushes to introspective work. And then many more crusaders on the way. It is also the meeting of four musicians, who knew each other for a long time and waited for the moment of the regrouping: they will form together Lucien & The Kimono Orchestra.
Ritournelles with melodies close to the variety and music of 80's French movies, Japanese funk, this opus is romantic and delicate. There is a desire to be naive, light and free at the same time, to be caught by the movement of clouds in the sky.

The first single "Neptune" featuring Moodoïd

A1 Early Morning

A4 Sand Castle
B1 Midnight Sun
B2 Waiting
B3 Iron Man
B4 Waiting - Acoustic
Short Info:
Midnight Sun drew his imagination from trips to Iceland and elsewhere, from experiences. Everything has grown, some dates in New York for the CMJ Festival, Berlin, Barcelona or Warsaw, the Pitchfork Festival, Radio Nova, vinyl, meetings.
"Early Morning" extends this first EP and dreams of traveling at the end of the world.
The group is apart, it wanders while preserving its identity - the spirit of Cracki hovers over the project.
First discovery of the label in 2012, the duo barely existed, it is a quator today who just returned from a world tour (more than 100 dates).
The dream sticks to their skin, in fact. Just as when trying to catch one, it flies away, their music is elusive. The first disc spoke of a sun at midnight, the second is dawn.
The chosen horizon is not defined, the four artists are still searching for each other and continue their path with candor.

Renart - Pure Dungeon Trance
Limited edition, reverse cardboard
Tracklist 12":
A1 : Astral Pilgrimage
A2 : Drama Dance
B1 : Searching for the Dolphin Temple
B2 : Pure Dungeon Trance
Short Info:
Renart, a young producer, is one of the proudest representatives of the new French techno scene.
Known for his excellent work in production, it is on stage that he impresses the most, with intense sets with textures worked and tinged with trance, just like his lives, true techno epics.
Music with mythological accents, Renart connects several EPs since 2010, both at Cracki Records, Versatile, Dawn Records, or Fragrant Harbor recently.
Inspired by the ancient techno, Renart Romanesque and traditional music sounds sometimes oriental, Renart tells a story of hypnosis and psyche, made of throbbing repetitions, reminiscences of happy mornings where the stars are dying.

Dazzle - Explain
2
Dazzle - In The Disco
3
Dazzle - Play It
Dazzle rolled deep. Very deep. In the 1980s, it wasn't unusual for the Milwaukee-based group to show up at various Midwest night clubs in a caravan of 30-40 cars and vans. Their live following was hard won over a career that spanned 20+ years, many line up changes, and a handful of project names. Friends, family, and fans made the journey with them weekend after weekend, a testimony to both the musical prowess of the group and the tight-knit community that they emerged from.
Donald Smith, band leader, was there the whole time - joined by many of his siblings and friends - first as founder of the Ghetto Players, a early 70's nine-piece which also included siblings Michael, Ronald, and Charles. They played hard funk in the style of early Kool and the Gang, and although they sadly left no recordings, the strength of their live act managed to catch the eye of local Milwaukee R&B music entrepreneur Cobie Joe Payne. Cobie had made a couple of records locally in the early/mid 70s as a singer, including the impossibly weird and amazing rare afro-blues-funk 45 "Sweet Thing", but had never enjoyed national success. When the Ghetto Players disbanded in the early-mid 70s, Donald soon put together a new group, C on the Funk (the 'C' referring to lead vocalist and sibling Charles), under Payne's tutelage. Sister Lorrie Smith came in as the drummer, the line-up being fleshed out by brothers David and Melvin Johnson, and friend Robert Mitchell. After a few years as a strictly live attraction, they drove to Chicago and produced a single, "In the Disco" / "A Place" for Payne's small record label Sweet Thang Records in 1980. Lacking the financial backing needed to supply the local R&B disk jockey's "promotional fees" , this single sadly languished in obscurity, gathering dust inside the local tavern jukeboxes and manilla promo envelopes that comprised Payne's DIY distribution network.
C on the Funk were traveling the Mid West extensively at this point, and making some important friends on the road. Ike Wiley Jr. of the Dazz Band/Kinsman Dazz took particular interest and the band was re-christened Dazzle, partially as a tie-in with Dazz, partially to embrace the new sounds that would distinguish the 70s disco scene from what record collectors and DJs would now refer to as the "Boogie" era. There no doubt was a stigma attached to the word "Disco" as the eighties began, and as we see in this collection C On the Funk's "In the Disco" is remixed and transformed into the psychedelic synth instrumental of Dazzle's "Disco's Out", a title which embodies both the next-step approach Smith and company were pushing for, and humorously comments on the state of black dance music in the early 1980s. The Dazzle recording, done in Chicago in 1982, updated the sound and featured an expanded line up, most notably a second synth player (Charles Washington), and a percussionist/second lead vocalist (Greg McDonald). The added synth textures and deep percussive grooves give the Dazzle recordings an elegant late night vibe that resonate just as well in a good pair of headphones as they do on the dance floor. The trance inducing cough syrup-warble of "Explain" may best exemplify this here. Sadly, a pressing flaw in the 12" halted production and promotion, and the EP and the songs within were lost to the ages. The group, having done a much better line in the live music business, followed that path instead all the way to the early 90s. --bio provided by andy noble More

Two longstanding electronic legends, Steve Bug reunites with frequent collaborator Cle for the three-track ‘It Just Happened EP’ on Nu Groove. The German tastemaker and Poker Flat label boss has helped define a plethora of electronic sub genres through his modern releases and expansive DJ sets. From early LPs ‘Volksworld’ and ‘Da Minimal Funk’, to later works ‘Traffic Signs’ and ‘Never Ending Winding Roads’, Bug’s futuristic vision is apparent throughout his experimental releases. Joined once again by Cle, a fellow veteran of the German rave scene, the pair return to the cult NYC label with three striking originals following previous release ‘Let It Go / Suitcase In A Box’. The EP’s lead, ‘It Just Happened’ features breathy synths and acidic loops that harken back to an era of underground house, immediately nostalgic yet forward thinking in its technique. ‘Crew Thing’ and ‘House Music Transcends’ follow suit, both teeming with energy as the two producers show off their unique creative process through sound.

Shortinfo:
Master Plan was the Chicago based dance music project of Pepper Gomez and Tom O’Callahan. Spanning from 1984 to 1986, the groups development is in sync with the dance music scene of Chicago during that era. While their first record „Pushin’ Too Hard“ is a Windy City version of the NYC club music of the time and its European cross-pollination, „Electric Baile“ from two years later down the line is almost a quantum jump into house music. With the engineering help of Matt Warren, it bears the marks of Ron Hardy, Chip E, Farley Jackmaster Funk or the WBMX dance party craze, if you will. Here you have remastered and updated versions by Enzo Elia and Gerd Janson. The first ones’ edit attempt of „Electric Baile“ ignited this edition. A custom-tailored main mix is completed by a dub and useful bonus beat version to do, what DJs used to do. Concluded by two edits of „Pushin’ Too Hard“ by GJ, you get two great slices of yesterday that are still major dance music blue prints today.
