Through his works, he has been creating the global network of musicians such as Josh Milan of the Blaze, house music icon, Don Letts, the pioneer of connecting punk rock with reggae, and Jeff Mills, Detroit techno legend, and released a great amount of hi-quality music on his label, Grand Gallery.
The Cosmic Suite project started in 2020, during the pandemic. It started as a project to reconstruct the parts of music Jeff Mills created for Chieko Kinbara, a violinist which Mills produced. However, it turned out to be 36min of spaced themed original track = Cosmic Suite.
(There are few phrases of Jeff Mills music left in the final version) This masterpiece created a buzz in the music scene in Japan and overseas, and became Yasushi Ide's new beginning.
In June, 2022, Ide released "Cosmic Suite 2". Originally, Cosmic Suite was an instrumental. "Cosmic Suite" is the reconstruction of "Cosmic Suite 2" with the element of vocals. In this project, Don Letts, Josh Milan, DJ Krush are featured as guest musicians. Moreover, drums of Tony Allen, the legendary Afrobeat drummer, and Style Scott, a drummer known for his works in early days of ON-U label, and Gota Yashiki, a Japanese drummer known for his works with Soul II Soul are featured in this album. Also, Japanese brightest talents such as Kan Takagi of Major Force, Kaoru Inoue aka Chari Chari, Tomoyuki Tanaka aka Fantastic Plastic Machine and Calm are featured as artists and engineers. This is the true dream team of the Japanese underground music scene.
The artwork is done by Josue Thomas, the founder of popular fashion brand, Gallery Dept. He is also featured as poetry reading artist in track 1 of "Cosmic Suite 2." Ide and him collaborates in various projects under the concept of "Universal Music Connection."
Yasushi Ide's also well received as a dub artist. (beside his wide range of musical styles)
His dub cover of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine (Space Dub Mix)" is selected for "Late Night Tales mixed by Don Letts" in 2021.

Love Injection's Earthly Mix of ‘Jennifer Pastoral’ is a sublime seven-minute deep house odyssey with neon keys from ‘Conclave’ frontman and close friend Toribio and a sprinkling of organic percussion that harks back to the likes of François K and Pal Joey but with Vanilla's sensuous vocals soaring up top. The duo’s Celestial Mix of ‘Jennifer Pastoral’ is more of a late-night lullaby - a soothing comedown with widescreen pads and layers of percussion that bubble along on expansive synths. The original version of 'Jennifer Pastoral' is a freewheeling electronic rhythm reminiscent of Will Powers with robust drums but funky riffs, lavish pop vocals and cosmic warmth.

Long time house and disco devotee Dave Lee comes through on Z Records once more with a sampler from this years ZR Essentials collection. It features two of his masterful reworks starting with Jamiroquai's 'Little L'. He flips into a funked up cosmic delight with plenty of the original's synth flourishes melodic hooks and orchestration all present and correct but with added slap bass, replayed rhodes and beefy new drums which make this a surefire dancefloor winner pretty much anywhere. On the flip comes Dave Lee's Disco Fantasy mix of Shelia & B Devotion's 1979 hit 'Spacer' which has a more retro disco sound thanks to the masterful original work of Chic. Additional clav, new string parts and solo-ing keys give 'Spacer' the extended DJ mix it never had at the time of original release.

recently, electro. Since they last crossed paths in 2014, their love for collecting and playing records has now
fully grown into creating their own music. And what more meaningful way to honour that musical friendship

"Live at Sydney Opera House" ist der letzte Teil der Live-Alben Serie von Khruangbin, dem weltumreisenden, genreübergreifenden Trio aus Houston, Texas. Das Album ist eine Doppel-LP, die ausschließlich aus Khruangbin-Kompositionen besteht und den Abschluss eines ehrgeizigen einjährigen Projekts für die Band bildet, das eine Hommage an ihre Live-Shows ist und ihre Improvisationskünste und kultigen Setlists feiert. Hier kommen karriereübergreifende Songs wie "A Calf Born in Winter", "Maria También", "So We Won't Forget", "Shida" und "Friday Morning" in ihrer vollen interplanetarischen Pracht zur Geltung, aufgenommen an einem der berühmtesten Veranstaltungsorte der Welt, dem Opernhaus Sydney. Der erste Solo-Auftritt der Band im berühmten Opernhaus fand im November 2022 statt und war an drei Abenden ausverkauft, womit sie sich in die Reihe der unzähligen Stars einreihten, die dort ebenfalls auf der Bühne standen. Die Doppel-LP folgt auf vier Live-Alben der Band, die seit Anfang des Jahres veröffentlicht wurden und mit Gästen wie Kelly Doyle, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers und Robert Ellis im Stubb's in Austin, Nubya Garcia im Radio City in New York, Men I Trust im RBC Echo Beach in Toronto und Toro y Moi im Fillmore in Miami aufwarten. Khruangbin sind bekannt für ihre Verbindung von Klängen aus aller Welt - darunter "eine Mischung aus R&B, Reggae, Surf-Rock, Melodien aus dem Nahen Osten, persischen Phrasierungen, lateinamerikanischen Rhythmen, Hip-Hop der 90er Jahre, westafrikanischer Instrumentierung, ätherischen Harmonien, psychedelischen Effekten und rumpeliger Disco" (Vanity Fair). Das Trio war mit zahllosen Welttourneen unterwegs und stand auf fast allen großen Festivalbühnen der Welt, darunter Glastonbury, Primavera und Coachella.
