The Swell EP follows a similar formula to release number five back in March. Three originals and two tool tracks all from label boss Mike Gervais. Many cut from the same cloth as release five. All good things we think. Elegant Restraint leaves the element stack slim and the sonic field open. Backed by a thumping kick and sputtering resonant basslines while familiar machine hats shimmer in and out. A distant synth stab brings the stereo breath into temporary view as the track steadily marches on.

2011 SYSTEM was started as a platform for underground music in Minneapolis. After many club, warehouse, and livestream events SYSTEM is now launching a record label for 2014. Behind You is the debut release from SYSTEM records, due out late May / early June on vinyl with digital to follow soon after. There will be a small 250 piece run of white vinyl inside record jackets designed and hand printed by local Minneapolis artists.

DJ Koze unveils a spiritual and surprising journey into rapturous spheres with Wespennest EP. The visionary artist and master of electronic sound, presents his first own release after 2018's global club hit "Pick Up".
"Candidasa" and "Wespennest" are the result of DJ Kozes inspiring stay in a secluded Benedictine monastery on the enchanting island of Sulawesi. Amidst this idyllic setting, he found the perfect environment to unleash his musical vision. He composed all of the music of "Candidasa" while lying on his stomach, in an act of deepest devotion and self-reflection. In doing so, he fed exclusively on so-called heroin kebabs to immerse himself in a trance-like state of creative flow. The result is a soundscape of unimagined depth and beauty that enchants the senses and transports listeners to another dimension by massively increasing the frequency of flicker fusion.
On "Wespennest” the wonderful Sophia Kennedy takes the stage and breathes a new dimension into the music with her impactful lyrics and vocals. With generous dedication, Sophia has provided exclusive excerpts of her yet unreleased songs, giving this track a radiant psychedelic power. The combination of DJ Kozes musical genius and Sophia Kennedy's glorious vocals creates a club track full of wonderment, opening up a mystical rapturous world for listeners. We're not entirely sure who is behind this project. It is listed as their first ever EP under the name according to Discogs, though they have done bits under other names like Pyschfest and Snp 500. 'Fan Needed' is hot techno with stripped back drum sounds. snapping snares and oodles of dubby chords and water effects. It's a fresh and unusual sound that bangs. 'No Fan Needed' is another mix of brushed metal drum sounds and minimal rhythms that sweeps you up on waves of Detroit chords and dubby currents. Whoever is behind this, we hope to hear more.

A year on since the collaborative Mystic AM project in 2022, Rod Modell returns solo to Astral Industries with AI-35. The album - entitled 'Ghost Lights' - comes as a gatefold 2x vinyl LP, showcasing the latest epoch of Modell's signature soundscapes. Spread across four parts, 'Ghost Lights' draws out a wide, cinematic sound - with long arching contours, rippling textures and cavernous sound design.
Woven with layer upon layer of hidden fragments and supernal transmissions, each chapter takes the listener successively deeper into the twilight zone. Harking to dramatic off-world topographies and interstellar spaces, the work glistens with opulent sound treatment and monumental grandeur. Dense pulsations move with oceanic force, marked by washes of celestial light and subterranean drones. Exercising another side to Rod Modell's typically atmospheric productions, this album comes with an ambitious framework and a more assertive sound. Featuring some of Modell's most epic storytelling to date, 'Ghost Lights' delivers a powerful immersive experience.

As a devoted fan of Göttsching’s groundbreaking work, Pagliara draws inspiration from his musical hero, crafting a mesmerizing EP that encapsulates the spirit and innovation of Göttsching’s influential sound. The release comprises three different interpretations of the same track, each imbued with exceptional artistry and technical knowledge.
The ceaselessly rolling piano chords in A1 Modulator Mix and B1 Traveler Dub are clear reminders of Göttsching’s E2E4 famous hypnotic refrain.
