Vol. 2 compiles 8 Georgian composers: Anushka Chkheidze, Natalie Beridze, sTia, Tamo Nasidze, Tamta Gqarliani, ELY ANN, Nasi Chavchavadze and Nina Simonishvili, all of whom are CES graduates of Music Production course led by Natalie Beridze, one of the most successful Georgian producers on the scene of Georgian electronic music. The retro cover is a nod to the famous group shot from the 1927 Solvay conference, which brought together physicists like Albert Einstein, Erwin Schrödinger, Marie Curie, and others. With this in mind, the name Sleepers, Poets, Scientists rings like a call to action for today's brightest minds, to wake up and save our chaotic, troubled world. More

FORTY ONE FORTY FOUR has been recorded and created in 2017 by well established Georgian electronic music producer Irakli Shonia under the name of Esi. Operating and composing music under different monikers and collaborations since early 2000's. Co- founder and curator of ''de re'' (record label ) and some other happenings for experimental, electronic and acoustic music in Georgia This experimental, electroacoustic album is unique with its concept. In the process of creating this album, Irakli made audio documentations and photographs of different spaces, to be precise, he documented the reverberation of those spaces. Parallel to that Esi started to use collected convolution algorithms for his audio tracks. The content of the accumulated work inspired him to put it in a certain structure and make a compilation, which would have a clear concept and could be identified as a completed audio work and would be represented on a certain platform. He decided to name it 41° 43' 0.001'' N / 44° 46' 59.999'' (Forty One Forty Four). These are the geographical coordinates of Tbilisi, since the entire audio material was produced in Tbilisi. The text in the first audio track is taken from a series of lectures given by John Cage titled ''Silence'' and was transformed into a poetry-spoken word by Georgian composer and artist Natalie Beridze. This audio recording is a documentation of a limit, which any hardware can have. The recording was made on a tape. Only following devices were used: Dave Smith Evolver Desktop, Korg MS20, Eventide Timefactor, Marantz PMD 201 , Moog drive, Moog phaser, Zoom H4N, Neumann KMR 81 i, various Eurorack systems. Anané’s Take A Ride EP was produced by Two Soul Fusion, aka Louie Vega and Josh Milan, all with live string arrangements courtesy of the Apple Hill String Quartet and conducted by Leroy Burgess. The recording dives from the effortless heights of Punk Disco (Let Me Be Your Fantasy, High) into the swirling eddies of Jazz Funk (Coffy Is The Color) before climbing back out into the languorous arms of Italo-Disco (Tutto Previsto). Strings across the production were The EP is held together in its entirety by the dreamy, sumptuous vocal of its creator Anané, who considers her top line one vital part of the instrumental whole. “I am art,” Anané reflects carefully, “for I am the music as much as I am the singer. Creation means to crawl into the unseen of my own dreams and becoming the beast of my vision, singing to the world as I go by.” More

Hessle Audio welcomes Toumba to the label with the four track EP 'Petals'. Based in Amman, Jordan, Toumba explores Levantine microtonality, rhythms, play styles and timbres across the record. Lead track 'Istibtan' is a twist on a typical Jordanian wedding song with deep subs providing the foundations, while 'Petals' rides on the heavy swing which is unique to music from the south of Jordan. On the flip side, 'Hazzeh' deconstructs Dabkeh, while the EP is rounded off with 'Identity Crisis' which is four minutes of lilting melodies all in Maqam Rast but played in an untraditional way. Toumba is a producer, DJ and sound designer and is a curator at MNFA, a club and arts space in Jordan's capital Amman. A nationally respected artist, Toumba also holds a residency at the MMAG Foundation. The foundation works with a selection of the most gifted artists in the Levant, providing a space for artistic research, production and critical discourse. More
