The third release on The Magic Movement features the label's A&R Noema from Berlin. "Antipodes" starts off with a funky bass-line, trippy bells and syncopated claps which set an psychedelic Afro vibe from the very beginning. Mystical noises increase this mood, till a hypnotising Moog hook calls for action. And at the latest when the sub bass finally drops in, the scenery transforms into an ecstatic ritual dance.
On the flipside you'll find Aunti Flo's remix with a a more dubby feel of the title track. A spheric choir pad unfolds over strong Afro percussions, while a rattle snake like shaker excitedly rises and falls.
"Late at Night" feels like a nocturnal walk through streets in twilight. The Groove, which sounds like odd clockwork, gets occasionally enhanced by more interesting percussion sounds. The melodies, played by a Marimba-like instrument and filtered synth, is accompanied by a warm pad and a disco bassline, whilst a female voice moans in the back.

We complete 2019 with the "Sky, Horse and Catch EP" by label boss Noema himself. On his quest to "Bring the Jams", the world traveling DJ delivers two stunning tunes, streaked with percussions that he recorded on a trip to Sao Paulo. Last but not least, Noema's EP comes along with a mind-bending remix by our favorite Romanians Khidja.
The title track "Sky, Horse and Catch" translates a 90's Detroit House Groove to the present day and adds Cuica, Berimbau and several other Brazilian drums on top. Riding the complex groove, you encouter eccentric synths, mysterious soundscapes and of course the horse on this 11 minute long hack. Minhocão" trades the horse for a racing car and takes you on a cruise on the same-named elevated highway that leads through the city of Sao Paulo. Surrounded by driving beats, guitar single-notes, massive synthbass howls and a gritty Moog theme, this jam is a hell of a joyride!
Khidja strips down the original the title track to its core and creates a solely percussive version in a half-time groove. By adding a virtuos Qanon/Saz-like sound the tune develops an arabesque flavour with a dubby bass as the cherry on the top.

The original track on this EP "Twilight" conjures with a deeply sensual and hypnotic sound, featuring earthy percussion and soothing vocals. Laid back but still club focused, this is enchanting modern club music at its very best.
Second on the release is Acid Pauli's remix which is a stripped down version of the original, letting go of the vocal to draw focus on the building tension of the backing track and its moody atmosphere.
For the third track Noema provides a dub rework of his own track that uses meandering synths, less of the vocal and more focus on the percussions with added funk.
Closing the EP is the O/Y remix which has a raised tempo and a juddering synth melody that compliments the dubby stabs and gentle shuffle of the percussion. Trippy with a poignant breakdown, this emotive version is tailor made for club sound systems.

Noema’s new album is a surreal cosmic journey. The music on it is part of a comprehensive art piece that includes remixes, interactive choreography and stage design, theatre, and costumes called ONE.
In ONE, Noema tells the story of his interdimensional space explorations, in which he manifests as four different entities. Because of the energetic state of humanity, these entities became trapped in our dimension and now put on performances to re-power their portal, so that we can all be interdimensional again! During the performance five actors invite up to 120 people from the audience to join the action.
Sun Ra meets Steve Reich meets Larry Levan - imagine it as a “happening” from the 70s.
The music from ONE is loosely based on the minimal music classic “In C" by Terry Riley. It consists of 56 melodic patterns, which are repeated and consecutively played from the first to the last. Every player can move on to the next pattern at their own pace.

The third release on The Magic Movement features the label's A&R Noema from Berlin. "Antipodes" starts off with a funky bass-line, trippy bells and syncopated claps which set an psychedelic Afro vibe from the very beginning. Mystical noises increase this mood, till a hypnotising Moog hook calls for action. And at the latest when the sub bass finally drops in, the scenery transforms into an ecstatic ritual dance.
On the flipside you'll find Aunti Flo's remix with a a more dubby feel of the title track. A spheric choir pad unfolds over strong Afro percussions, while a rattle snake like shaker excitedly rises and falls.
"Late at Night" feels like a nocturnal walk through streets in twilight. The Groove, which sounds like odd clockwork, gets occasionally enhanced by more interesting percussion sounds. The melodies, played by a Marimba-like instrument and filtered synth, is accompanied by a warm pad and a disco bassline, whilst a female voice moans in the back.

We complete 2019 with the "Sky, Horse and Catch EP" by label boss Noema himself. On his quest to "Bring the Jams", the world traveling DJ delivers two stunning tunes, streaked with percussions that he recorded on a trip to Sao Paulo. Last but not least, Noema's EP comes along with a mind-bending remix by our favorite Romanians Khidja.
The title track "Sky, Horse and Catch" translates a 90's Detroit House Groove to the present day and adds Cuica, Berimbau and several other Brazilian drums on top. Riding the complex groove, you encouter eccentric synths, mysterious soundscapes and of course the horse on this 11 minute long hack. Minhocão" trades the horse for a racing car and takes you on a cruise on the same-named elevated highway that leads through the city of Sao Paulo. Surrounded by driving beats, guitar single-notes, massive synthbass howls and a gritty Moog theme, this jam is a hell of a joyride!
Khidja strips down the original the title track to its core and creates a solely percussive version in a half-time groove. By adding a virtuos Qanon/Saz-like sound the tune develops an arabesque flavour with a dubby bass as the cherry on the top.

The original track on this EP "Twilight" conjures with a deeply sensual and hypnotic sound, featuring earthy percussion and soothing vocals. Laid back but still club focused, this is enchanting modern club music at its very best.
Second on the release is Acid Pauli's remix which is a stripped down version of the original, letting go of the vocal to draw focus on the building tension of the backing track and its moody atmosphere.
For the third track Noema provides a dub rework of his own track that uses meandering synths, less of the vocal and more focus on the percussions with added funk.
Closing the EP is the O/Y remix which has a raised tempo and a juddering synth melody that compliments the dubby stabs and gentle shuffle of the percussion. Trippy with a poignant breakdown, this emotive version is tailor made for club sound systems.

The Magic Movement marks its twenty-fifth release this May with Coss & Luca Musto's 'Remind Me Tomorrow' EP, comprised of three originals from the Berlin-based pair and a remix from label boss Noema.
Coss has been a mainstay at Berlin's Kater Blau club for some time now and just recently delivered an EP on the club's in-house imprint Kiosk ID as well as an EP for his own metanoia.
Italian rooted but Germany-based Luca Musto returns to the Magic Movement here following his 2018 'Parabel' EP and has since gone on to release further material with Cologne's Feines Tier and Laut & Luise in recent years.
Here joining forces with the 'Remind Me Tomorrow' EP the two artists deliver more of their distinctive tripped-out, dropped tempo club sound.
'Broken Promises' leads the way via dreamy dubbed out textures, gnarly bass tones, twinkling chimes and airy arpeggios atop a bumpy drum groove.
Title cut 'Remind Me Tomorrow' follows and brings modulating resonant synth lines into the forefront alongside elongated subs, cinematic pads, and circling sequences while Luca also stirs in his own rap/spoken word hip house style vocals.
The third original 'Concept Zero' follows next and lays down psychedelic guitars, choppy stabs, murky bass swells and dynamic delays before Noema rounds out the release with his take on 'Remind Me Tomorrow', flipping the switch to raw, crunchy drums and spoken word vocal chants amongst the original's chuggy arps and dreamy melodic elements. The EP contains atmospheric originals, full of warm and almost jazzy synth work, syncopated rhythms and haunting vocal snippets. There's a beautifully melancholic red line which flows through the EP. His passion for ambient music and lo-fi textures is clearly audible in every track, where spacious soundscapes meet gritty percussion sounds.

We are thrilled to present you the first full length album by Xavier Fabre and Bibiana Graeff aka Xique-Xique!
Following the flow of their first 'Xaxoeira' EP (which means "Waterfalls" in Portuguese, but spelled in a poetic way) the Album sets an artistic landmark at 'Na Lagoa' (At the Lake).
The 10 album tracks were composed during the last three years between Istanbul, Bangkok and Heliodora (Brazil). Especially from this tropical haven you will find plenty of field recordings throughout the album, like the bird called 'Siriema' featured in the track of the same name.

'Na Lagoa' is structured as Dawn, Midday, Nightfall and Midnight, and invites you to spend the day at an imaginary lake. In the water, you feel the warm synth textures enclosing you just before cascades of arpeggios start to drop into your ear. Once on the other bank, you wander around and observe the fantastic flora and fauna: dubby effects fly by like surreal bugs, mesmerising synth themes roaming the scenery like bewitched wild animals that welcome you in a dreamlike future-jungle-fantasy.

Following the flow of their first 'Xaxoeira' EP (which means "Waterfalls" in Portuguese, but spelled in a poetic way) the Album sets an artistic landmark at 'Na Lagoa' (At the Lake).
The 10 album tracks were composed during the last three years between Istanbul, Bangkok and Heliodora (Brazil). Especially from this tropical haven you will find plenty of field recordings throughout the album, like the bird called 'Siriema' featured in the track of the same name.

Salon des Amateurs resident Tolouse Low Trax delivers the 'Knights & Wheels Remix' in his signature style: While a hypnotic vocal loop hooks you up from the very beginning, minimalistic and dreamy synths slowly submerge the listener into a jam of stripped-down Lo-Fi funk.
The 'Beat Mix' by Rio de Janeiro's sound wizard Carrot Green and long time family member of the label, speeds up the tempo, and puts together a groove of classic electro boogie vibes with a P-Funky bassline that sounds like a futuristic liaison between Afrika Bambaataa and George Clinton.

For many years, the trio consisting of Pedro, Muno and Defi have been around in the House Music scene of South America with their solo projects, and eventually joined forces to explore a more slow and organic sound.
In their skilfully crafted productions they combine South American folk, downbeat and hypnotic synths into their own distinctive sound, which unfolds its compelling energy even more in their infectious live shows.
The vinyl EP consists of 3 essential album tracks, plus the wonderful Dandara remix by one of the scenes' most loved artists.
Catchy vocals over a swinging groove is what we always like best on a Sunday, and Kermesse are nailing it with this tune.

Under the arabesque shadow of occidental chords and oriental strings, the EPs multi-layered tracks take you on a cosmic flight: Folkloric dance elements build up progressively over a driving rhythm while Suha's ethereal vocals flow alongside old chants. Massive brass and gritty 70's synths accompany ancestral lyrics that herald of unknown realities soon to be realised.
