On December 6, 2024, Randomer will return with a new EP titled MTY-012: Everything Happens for No Reason, released via Anetha’s label, Mama Told Ya.
After a reflective hiatus, the UK prodigy is highly anticipated and ready to deliver meaningful music. The EP features five emotionally charged tracks—four produced by Randomer and one co-produced by Randomer and Anetha. Presented on a single vinyl, the release conveys a deeper message: life’s unpredictability can be embraced, reminding us that we can find our way even in chaos and randomness.
Torn between the meaningful and the meaningless, Randomer channeled his time into crafting music shaped by his extensive study of melodies, subconsciously seeking to bring harmony to the world. The result is a cathartic journey across five tracks, each evoking a broad spectrum of emotions and inviting listeners to explore the depth of their feelings. Drawing from the music that deeply influenced him, Randomer traverses various genres and moods, seamlessly blending techno, trance, techstep, and sacred choral music in a perpetual act of personal reinvention.
Let the choir sing I Saw the World Melt (A1) right before my eyes, and let the people chant my melancholic melody. Nervous Breakdown. Lost in the riffs with dis ting from London, DHM Jam (A2) fuels me with adrenaline, I’m flying through memories, urged to move on. Yet, I’m still trapped : the clock shows Home Invasion (A3)—better start running. We will survive. But where’s my harmony? I Can’t Believe (B1) it. Why me? Why us? In this trance state of mind, I have so many questions, but those voices on the other side won’t answer. We’re doomed anyway, so why not plug in like the Two Perfect Machines (B2) we are, until the end.
For this new EP, Australian visual artist Nic Hamilton has been commissioned to create a poignant artwork alongside two melting teasers for MTY-012. As always, the design is expertly crafted by Diplomatie Studio, while the mastering is entrusted to Six Bit Deep, ensuring a polished and immersive listening experience.

Release Info:
On October 4, 2024, Vel will make a splash with the release of her debut LP, MTY-011 «There is Always a Solution», through Anetha’s label, Mama Told Ya. After 3 exciting EPs and the recent rise of her Live performance, Vel made waves last year with the track «Velds1» on MTY-AIR «Mille Attaques, Les Vents Contrèrent» in collaboration with LDS. She is now ready to unveil her first full-length album.
«There is Always a Solution» flows with two slippery vinyl records and 10 immersive tracks. Nine tracks are produced solely by Vel, while one is co-produced by Vel and Anetha. Once again, Mama Told Ya returns with a valuable lesson: no matter the challenge, you will flow a way.
Vel is back with a mesmerizing new album featuring 10 tracks that draw you in with her captivating energy. Are you ready to heed the call? The High Priestess of Drums plunges us into a world of vibrant Techno and brisk Tribal rhythms, while her Ambient passages offer a calming retreat and her Mental influences are bound to stir your emotions. Rest assured, “there is always a solution.” Renowned for her expertise in rhythmic innovation and spatial soundscapes, Vel presents a revitalizing and dynamic release. MTY-011 promises to cleanse and rejuvenate—let yourself be immersed.
With a hint of irony, The Babe (A1) playfully teases, “Do you love me? Do you love my music?” But Vel’s real question is more reflective: you’re in deep water. Dive into the sound bath of Humans in Cafe (A2), close your eyes, and let the drums, the kicks, the bangs, and the buzz wash over you. One Xanax Introspection (A3) later, Vel is inviting us to explore the full spectrum of frequencies—a galloping race of deep bass and high treble in this ambient choreography.
« Don’t let the relentless BPM Anxiety (B1) drown you. Its tortured synth may try to hold you back, but you’re free. You’re in your Pop Tribe (B2), and nothing can stop you—DRUM BIG. »
Darling it's better down where it's wetter: joining Vel for a jam session « under the sea », it’s Anetha! Driving percussions are combining with a pulsating psytrance bassline, pure magic: « Ain’t We Mermaids (C1), dear? » Vel, ever the master of the salty beats, slows it down just enough to say, «I Don’t Care (C2),» as she deconstructs. A few moments later… She’s at it again—just when the BPMs are peaking, she draws us into a state of floating lethargy. That’s the absorbing power of Ambient Core (C3).
The current is strong with this one—prepare for a challenge. Deep Tracks Don’t Sell (D1) will drift you away in a swirl of intertwining undulations and dripping drums. It’s time to return to the surface: with a bubbly twist of whimsy, Oh La La (D2) pops in, full of new-wave energy. Vel gently swims us back to shore.
For this new LP, the artwork was crafted in-house under Vel’s artistic direction. The design was skillfully executed by Diplomatie Studio, while mastering was entrusted to In Aeternam Vale, Vel’s close friend and mentor.

4LP Gatefold, random colored recycled vinyls
On October 20, 2023, Anetha will release her third tempetuous compilation on her label Mama told ya entitled MTY-AIR «Mille attaques, les vents contrèrent», just one year after MTY-TERRE «Contre tout, toutes et tous, la terre demeure» and two years after MTY-EAU «L’eau repousse les feux agressifs».
Through air element, the compilation comes up with the collaboration of 22 artists with 20 tracks, divided into 4 vinyls: Once again, Anetha carried away with her a generation of electronic artists from around the world to simply blow our mind.
------
ON AIR: After twelve successful releases on Mama told ya, Anetha paraglides in our skies with the stormful MTY-AIR, a volatile new compilation: 4 swirling vinyls, 20 aerodynamics tracks, 1 wind blowing perfume.
Entitled «Mille attaques, les vents contrèrent», it will be the third of a series around the four elements. Capricious yet vigorous, air sweeps out everything on its way. Nothing can save you when you’re in the eye of the cyclone: prepare to fly hard. Alongside our windbreaker artists, skydive into the celestial vastness of sound: Gusts of disturbed techno, squalls of groove, mental tornado, minimal bass hurricane, cloudburst of psytrance… Time to get some fresh air.
Piercing pampero, mad mistral, forceful cierzo are blowing, blazing khamsin, steady sirocco, sharp shamal, dank nor’wester are entwining… Techno winds from all around the world are joining the fight against humanity. This is « Endgame » (B2). Final chapter, twisters and typhoons are cleansing the surface of earth, overthrowing everything on their path. Poor soul, don’t try to confront air’s blast as it will « Facelift » (D2) the shit out of you in less than a second. Take shelter as air is untouchable, unpredictable, unstoppable. Or if you’re brave enough, you’ll jump into the sky, looking for the currents to carry you up, sailing whirlwinds, riding airwaves, on the road to the « Temples of Quantum » (H2). Now jump!
The artwork has been once again entrusted to visual artist Karin Kimel, who worked on MTY-EAU’s artwork. She delivers an aerial scenery where supernal wafts are swirling, embalming our air. Diplomatie Studio took care of the design, mastering was entrusted to Sixbitdeep. And for the second time, with a direct message from earth to Earth, we opted for recycled vinyls.

After a first amazing LP released in 2020, Mama put once again UF095 in charge, but this time, she said: " You've got 10 tracks to blow our mind sweetie. Use your difference to make the difference ". Same high-potential kid, no different outcome. And same singularity! Ride with UF095 and learn some good shit about weird techno, IDM and early gabber ! MTY006 brings you through one deep introspection looking for your own uniqueness: please explore yourself.
For this new Mama told ya's LP, the fury(ous) artwork has been commissioned to french digital artist sltcamille. Her ability to tell melancholic fantasy stories let us all stand in awe. Diplomatie Studio took care of the design, mastering was entrusted to Sixbitdeep - no difference here.
No doubt that with this second Album released on the label, UFO95 shows once again that he has something more. A little ounce of digression that makes him very unmistakable.

RELEASE INFO:
PREPARE FOR TROUBLES! For its sixth release, Anetha invited outstanding dj and producer Ryan James Ford on MTY-005 «Rules are meant to be broken», a 5 rule-breaking tracks EP. But for now, the question remains: who will dare?
Mama knows best: rules were always meant to be broken and challenging them is actually challenging ourselves. Never forget that going beyond is and has always been the way of life. Always playing borderline, in an very aphextwiny way, Ryan James Ford dares moody homey moves, takes a big step into IDM and goes forth ethereal techno.
The dripping cool artwork has been commissioned to digital artist Kitasavi. Truly regressive, joyfully transgressive, Kitasavi’s work had to be showcased in this new MTY opus particularly. Diplomatie Studio took care of the design, mastering was entrusted to Sixbitdeep, as usual.
An audacious anthem resonates, feel the bass into your chest: be bold, be adventurous and ride now with Ryan James Ford in Laugh Now Cry Later (A1). Hear the trumpets Ryan summons, there is only one way and it’s beyond: today my friend, we overcome. Twirls later, here we are, at the point of no return, our trip brings us to Ketamax-50 (LGL76)(A2), lose yourself in ethereal techno prowess and experience lightness. Things are getting out of control on Crêpes Suzette (B1) where our two troublemakers Ryan and Anetha meet, making some big childish heady noise. Sublime mental loops lock us up and now is the perfect time to break the rules. Will you dare ? We know you will. Coming as a reward, sounding as a victory song, Intro To Life Drawing (2004 Mix)(B2) is a blessing. Deep down our soul vibrates the simple yet delightful, powerful melody Ryan gave life to. Rules were broken and nothing happened, except we feel free, we feel elevated, we feel exalted. Finally, Ryan put us back on track with Off White (B3), a new journey is waiting, there are new lines to cross somewhere, new rules to break somehow.

It's been four successful collaborative releases and Mama told ya has grown up so much since this last couple of years.
Faithful to its praise of collaboration, this fifth release will be no exception: Anetha invited the prodigious Alex Wilcox in a 4-tracks emotional roller coaster adventure entitled " It's okay to cry ". Because yeah, newsflash : it really is.
Best piece of advice from Mama, you should now let it go, open the floodgates, release the pressure. Let yourself be carried through BPMs, Glitched-Ghetto-Techno, satured yet textured, that our powerful duo concocted. It is time to catharsis! The artwork has been commissioned to the extraordinary Risa from Olga Goose Candle. It was an evidence to bring to the table her vintage kooky wax characters whose ultimate poetic fate is to melt. Into tears.
Photographer Anaïs Lallite and designers Diplomatie Studio took care of the design, mastering was entrusted to Sixbitdeep, as usual. Embark for a jazzy-cowboy-bepopesque-techno ballad in Funky Blender (A1). At first, you'll feel the sharp blades twirling by your ear: Alex Wilcox chops up what's left of our sorrow then smooths it up with some soul in it through that " groovgeous " bass saxophone. Featuring Latrice Pink, Alex Wilcox shows some damn good maestria in glitched and vocal effects with RESPOND! (A2). The urge to let it go is relentless. So irrepressible that you let the boisterous uptempo drumming race sweeps you in direction of that point of no return where you'll have nothing else to do but finally release. And here we are, Paris, Texas (B1), where two universes collide. Both Anetha and Alex Wilcox discharge their heart into two beautiful tunnels of grief intertwining into one bomb aquatic transe track. The drop you've been waiting for is here and it's okay to cry, honey. Alex Wilcox upbeats one last time our journey in a spooky, spine-chilling electronic course in BOO. (B2).

Release Info:
IT'S RAINING TRACKS : After three successful collaborative releases on Mama Told Ya over the past few months, Anetha quenches our unquenchable thirst with MTY-EAU, a brand new compilation: 4 vinyls, 16 tracks, 18 artists - one madly diluvian project featuring Varg and Croatian Amor, UFO95, Anetha, Tommy Holohan, X-Coast , EMMA DJ, Less Distress, Sugar, ABSL, Quest?Onmarc , Ryan James Ford, ISAbella Le Dom, FAKETHIAS, Rhys Jelson, Jardin and Certain Smith
Entitled "L'eau repousse les feux agressifs", it will be the first of a series around the four elements. Source of inspiration, Water teaches us acceptance. It completely flows in this first opus, as into the spirits - in "quarantine" at that time - of the guest artists.
No sluices, zero dams and a lot of free time, the opportunity to dare more... experimental streams. Mama Told Ya is therefore innovating, although there is some for all tastes in each and every vinyl: torrent of fast disjoncted techno, cloudburst of acid, trance and hyper-saturation, downpour of experimental or even electronic-rap vocoder…. RAIN. ON. ME.! To be savoured chilled at home or boiling, in a club.
The artwork has this time been entrusted to visual artist Karin Kimel, who delivers a version of the world through an aquatic 3D prism in which only the fragments of a boiling underwater volcano remain.
With a profoundly dramatic intro, " Bully " immediately immerses us in the icy Scandinavian waters, on the verge of hydrocution. An epic, almost mystical opening, heralding the impending flood. Water then, in all its temperaments, under all its temperatures, spreads everywhere, throughout the listening, sometimes soothing, sometimes thundering. Under pressure in " EXTREMELY URGENT ", it even becomes irrepressible. Next follows a demented race set to submerge everything. Open valves and sinks, overflowing swimming pools, flash floods, storms and tsunamis, endless monsoons, melting ice and glaciers… It is ultimately a liquid world, entirely drowned under water that we find in " 5th generation ", outro of a new genre which invites to reinvent the future, and why not Mama Told Ya's future.
It's hard not to hear in this aquatic odyssey an ecological warning, a call (back) to Nature.

Mama Yold Ya is a new label founded by parisian DJ Anetha that focuses on sharing and collaboration as a creative engine. Designed as a platform of experimentations, the aim is to get each artist out of his comfort zone. In this new ring, the label redefines the limits, confronts the universes and methods of each participant, in order to give birth to a new medium, full of diversity, imbued with the essence of each artist. Sharing as a desire of conviviality.
Anetha is a trained Architect based in Paris, now fully dedicated to music and focused on developing her career as a DJ, producer and Label Manager. As a leading figure of the new generation of French DJs inspired by EBM, trance, electro and old school 90's techno tracks, Anetha knows how to make people dance. She always tries to offer an intense, energetic and unpredictable journey to her public, with a strong and fresh tracks' selection.Anetha played in the most famous clubs and festivals, such as Concrete, Bassiani, Under Bron, Faust, Village Underground, De School and Berghain - but also Soenda, Weather Festival, ADE, Nation of Gondwana or Freedom Festival. Recently, she has been invited at a DVS1 curated Fabric night, and also made a standout apparition at Boiler RoomAmsterdam, being ranked as one of the best techno set of the year by Boiler Room itself.
For the first release, Anetha is inviting the talented Sugar from Fast Forward Productions based in Copenhagen, and her good friend ABSL from Paris.
MTY 001 features two original tracks produced by Sugar and ABSL themselves, and two other ones co-produced with Anetha. More than just "club ready" productions, every track is built like a story that you can also enjoy peacefully at home. Each piece is long enough to allow you to go through different states of feeling, atmospheres, and even be surprised by the evolution and new elements of the tracks. In the A1 " Et le soleil ne vint pas " by ABSL, a tension is created and evolves for several minutes with a sustained and crunchy rhythm that keeps the listener in suspense. Later, the emergence of a dazzling and sparkling melody come to break this infernal cadence and give some space and light. In the end, darkness definitely takes over to crush the last ray of sunshine. ABSL & Anetha blends hypnotic moment and percussive techno drums in the A2 called "Elles". The heady and repetitive voice plays a leading role between the different parts and finally gives way to let smooth and evocative synths appear. Minds and bodies can feel soothed and enveloped by the softness of the sounds… A perfect way to finish a set. During Sugar's B1 " Vapouring sun ", you can experience at the first notes that something epic and intense awaits you. The track is built with a deep rhythm, some shamanic breathing and outrageous chord progression that make the track feel engineered for special moments only. Please, make sure this is the right time and place to play it! Last but not least, B2 " Candy from strangers " track is a fresh and colourful collaborative track by Sugar & Anetha in which many layers reflect the personalities of the two producers. Sometimes techno, with striking synthesizers and energetic drums, but also trancy with an evolving and singular melody. Very fun and pleasant to play - you'll see :) The collaborative spirit reflects and animates the graphic part of the label as well. In order to inaugurate the first cover,Anetha invited the talented Helin Sahin who produced a magnificent futuristic piece of art. A precious and organic image that plays with perspective, space and matter.
For the graphic identity, Mama told ya partnered with the great Diplomatie Studio team based in Paris.

Release Info:
Paris-based DJ and producer Anetha’s enigmatic label Mama Told Ya is a collaborative venture. Pushing artists out of their comfort zone to new heights of experimentation and creativity, yielding progressive results that challenge and intrigue.
The next instalment comes in the form of a kaleidoscopic debut release as a two vinyl pack from French producer and A/V artist UFO95, titled “Popularity is overrated”. This will be the first double EP on the label, with previous records released as split EP four-tracker collaborations with artists and Anetha herself, including Niki Istrefi, Hadone, ABSL and Sugar.
UFO95 is a French electronic music producer, who finds his roots in 90’s techno, UK jungle and also through IDM, creating a unique tribal sound. His lives ( live ; live A/V ) are like his music, dynamic and really hypnotizing. He releases his debut LP “Popularity is overrated” on Anetha’s label, Mama Told Ya.
As well, Anetha collaborates with a different visual artist on each project; Recsoverto takes center stage on the cover for this release, who combines ethereal visuals parodying Japanese video games and hyper-real typography.
The record is beautifully eclectic and has the effortless feel of a live set from a promising new producer. Opener ‘Sun S4lutation’ is a silky melodic affair, diving into a runaway breakbeat with a hypnotic edge crafting an effortlessly colorful trip. ‘2am’ is a tense nosedive into techno’s heady mutations, harnessing a prevailing kick and wormhole synths.
Up next is the masterful collaborative track with Anetha ‘On/Offline’. The track starts with an infectious energy, before vocal inflections and a dreamy hyper-real synth melody blend to hypnotic heights, transporting the listener to a open-air rave. ‘Should I Go’ is heady and bold in its brutal drum work and twisting synths, ‘Enchanted Forest’ is playful and addictive, ‘Rrkja’ starts wild until heavenly synths glow around the edges, and ‘OE’ carries the sentiment of amalgamation with a fierce kick drum and a symphonic chorus. Ending on a rough edged high, closer ‘Volcano’ takes an IDM approach with glitchy drums, weaving synths and groovy vocal inflections.

"La Vita Non E Un Film" is the first studio album produced by multi-instrumentalist Rouge Mécanique under his real name : Romain Azzaro. Conceived as the soundtrack of an imaginary film, this collection of music pieces composed between 2007 and 2020 presents his very own interpretation of rock, blues, classical, ambient and electronic music.
The story begins with " Vvoid ", composed on a rainy night with Myako in Berlin, a powerful & cinematic track. Then, his alter ego Rouge Mécanique takes over with " Prelude ", " Channel 5 " and " Who Knows About This one " showing his signature style of electro-fueled rock. In the middle of this journey, tracks like " Crewhassan ", " Cousu De Fil Blanc " and " Ballet Jelinox " show the more experimental side of his music, and work produced for film scores. This leads us to the 12-minute jam " Above Space 35 ", a trippy tribute to the Krautrock scene he loves, and sounds like a lost recording of Pink Floyd's bluesiest inspirations. The story ends on a more nostalgic note, with the soft groove of " Sea Sex & Salt " and the gorgeous acoustic guitar solo on " Green Line ".

B2. Hadone - Hiding my machine
Paris-based DJ & producer Anetha returns with "Body Changes Are Natural", the second release on her fresh label Mama Told Ya featuring Niki Istrefi and Hadone
As illustrated in the first record, Mama Told Ya dives into the idea of collaboration as a creative medium, which aims to challenge artists to strive to produce something new. Anetha appreciates to connect and explore with producers from different corners of the scene to experiment with diversity. Each project has two different artists with a collaborative track each with Anetha and a track of their own.
For this new chapter, Anetha invited Copenhagen's rising producer Niki Istrefi who is responsible for the inaugural EP of the iconic Euromantic label. On the other side, Possession resident Hadone, also known as half of 90s Process, joins the team for a balanced EP of both emotional and fast-paced rhythms.
The process for the label's graphic concept is similar to the music. The artwork for this new EP was produced by the London-based visual artist Claire Barrow who made an ethereal and bright coloured painting for the cover. One can see emerging faces morphing into the background, referring back to the natural body changes to embody the vision of Mama Told Ya's second release.
"Body Changes Are Natural" is a seamless sequel to the first release "Don't Rush To Grow Up", showcasing an array of experimentations. Opening the first track with one of Copenhagen's finest Niki Istrefi, who takes charge with a booming tune named 'No Ordinary Love'. The track is driven by pummelling kicks and complimented by piercing synths. Up next is 'One more cartoon, please', the collaboration between Anetha and Niki. This cut showcases a playful production between tribal elements and an intoxicating melody that perpetrates the signature sound of Mama Told Ya.
On the B-Side we are introduced to French native Hadone, who is crushing sets at clubs all over Europe. His tune with Anetha '4pm Snacks' focuses on hi-NRG kicks at 140bpm with smooth siren-like melodies keeping the madness at a high throughout. The final solo track 'Hiding My Machine' by Hadone is heavily IDM-inspired with a complex drumming progression and soft synths. Makes it a flawless ending to a record with 4 varied stories through the intensity of euphoria.

Sasha & Super Flu - Astra (Sasha Daydream Mix)
Sasha & Super Flu join forces for electrifying new single, ‘Astra’. Last Night on Earth label head Sasha is proving to be as innovative as ever in the studio of late. The globally renowned producer and game-changing DJ continues exploring rich new musical ground while retaining his signature sense of melody, drama, and energy. He has also made his label an outlet renowned for its quality output and backs that up here with a new collaboration alongside Feliks Thielemann & Mathias Schwarz, better known as Super Flu. The German pair has a sound that knows no bounds and breaks all rules. They tinker with music-making gear, draw from diverse musical influences and are underground mainstays with an enviable discography on numerous key labels. The electrifying 'Astra' is awash with smart effects and filters that smudge and stretch a vocal over rising synth tension. The heavy drums jostle for your attention as the chord vamps twist and turn, ramping up the pressure as they go and building towards a dramatic breakdown. It locks you in the moment before setting off again on more tightly woven drums and synths. The Sasha Daydream Mix is a more blissed-out and late-night rework with shakers, floating drums and deft synth lines drifting about up top to soothing and atmospheric effect.

Finally: the long awaited Trentemøller debut album - maybe one of the most anticipated independent albums of the year - is ready to be released in October! The danish producer Anders Trentemøller is one of the hottest artists on the electronic circuit - the man of the moment! His 12“es broke many sales-records and he‘s been voted as the shooting star in 2005 by many reader polls. So the time is right to release his debut album The Last Resort“ - a beautifully crafted, astonishing masterpiece, that will leave you breathless. The 13 instrumental tracks together form a wordless musical story, almost like the soundtrack of a movie. It manages to capture a whole range of emotions in subtle melodic miniatures, dreamy ambiences, dusty beats, deep dub-tracks and driving groove-excursions. An ever-changing kaleidoscope of colours and moods, „The Last Resort“ without a doubt contains Trentemøller’s best work to date. Although it’s an electronic album, it also incorporates live-drums, guitars, bass and other acoustic instruments like celesta, glockenspiel, melodica and even DJ scratching to create a more organic feel. „Something I couldn’t manage with just electronica“, according to the producer.

Michel Cleis, - Amaranthus
2022 repress
A: Mir a nero ISRC: DEMM11200019
B: Amaranthus ISRC: DEMM11200020
It's been three years since Swiss producer Michel Cleis conjured a storm with "La Mezcla", a Cadenza hit cemented into house canon as it was swiftly reissued by Strictly Rhythm, bringing the sabor latino into clubs worldwide. Some more 12"s and a number of high-profile remixes (going from tracey thorn to skunk anansie, for labels like rekids , bronswood or Aus) later, he's now teaming up with DJ Koze's crew for his next move: a colorful, crescendoing 12-minute tune that's ready to make a splash in your summer soundtrack. "Mir a Nero" begins with a steady, upbeat kick underlying a simple piano arpeggio - like if Philip Glass make dance music - but then some accents of vibrant hand percussion loosen up the vibe, soon progressing into rhythmic layers that cause the energy to swell. By the 4-minute mark, a subtle, buzzing synth permeates the background, contrasting the track's overall organic feel, leading into the playful piano chords and colombian vocal hook. Simply put, this is Latin House with that anomalous Pampa Records swagger, drenched with flavor like Sangria-soaked mango. Flip that baby over and you get "Amaranthus", named after the famed flower that represents immortality. This piece stands as a color-negative of "Mir a Nero", an unwavering stomp with just shadows of the piano sample heard earlier. Freeze-dried rather than sun-ripened, "Amaranthus" is a dubby, more technofied counterpart to the A-Side, crafted for deeper and darker moments on the dancefloor.

Release Info:
Following the club and label’s 20th anniversary back in 2011, Tresor memorialised its two decades of existence with an exclusive
mix from one of its esteemed Detroit connections, Mike Huckaby. On that mix, Mike Huckaby included an exclusive production of
his, the first one to be released on Tresor Records.
Today, Tresor is proud to announce the repress of the ‘The Tresor Track’ on wax, making up for a massive A-side cut at 45 RPM.
This title is on its way to stand along with the label’s most important classics, a genuine anthem for the Berlin techno institute.
On the flip, Mike Huckaby goes for a stroll through the Tresor building, heading downstairs, exploring the room’s darker and more
twisted corners with ‘Basement Trax’, going back towards ‘The Upstairs Lounge’ and surprising his audience with some original
rhythmic patterns. The Tresor EP is a statement, a seal manifesting for a fruitful and long-lasting collaboration between Mike
Huckaby and Tresor.
"I try to create a vibe, feeling or idea that could create a vicarious expression. Often, this is derived from many of my personal
clubbing experiences. I have a permanent snapshot in my mind from the vibe I remember at the Music Institute in Detroit, or the
Shelter in NYC. So I vibe o of that quite often. In terms of house, it's usually based around strong chord progressions, and very
colorful and expressive sounds. For techno, it can be a mixture of both, or purely abrasive and dance floor driven.
Music is reciprocal. I have coined or phrased a term called "the reciprocal relationship" in music. The reciprocal relationship in
music demonstrates that tones excite chords, and chords excite tones. Here's an example to further elaborate on that: A chord
can invoke a specific feeling within the listener. But the strength or degree in which a feeling is invoked within the listener has a
lot to do with the notes or chord progression that is played upon a specific tone or patch.” Mike Huckaby, 2010.

B1 Basement Trax 05:36
B2 The Upstairs Lounge 06:01

At the beginning of the Nineties of the last century, House music was firmly in the hands of U.S. metropolises New York, Detroit and Chicago. One of the most influential labels during that time was the Power Music branch Sex Trax, where the unforgettable "Can You Dig it?" by Mark The 909 King was released in 1994 as the first record of the new label. It was in the same year when Felix da Housecat's buddy Harrison Crump debuted with "Deep Down Inside", an almost ideal blueprint of the Chicago House sound with rather indecent lyrics, Sex Trax in the true sense of the word.
The Chicago sound has not lost its fascination in the year 2010, that's obvious in the remixes of modern Techhouse heroes Reboot and Michel Cleis, who have previously released on Cadenza, Below, Buzzin' Fly and Cocoon. The one who goes first is Frankfurt-based Frank Heinrich aka Reboot, whose almost 10-minute-long interpretation of "Deep Down Inside" is strongly focused on percussive tribal sounds and first and foremost stands for uncompromising entertainment on the dancefloor. The flipside by Michel Cleis, whose hypnotic "La Mezcla" ruled the last season in Ibiza, is more complex in the depth of its sound: with sensual quotes from a Hammond organ and a lot of sound effects on the vocal track, Cleis celebrates a form of Soul-soaked Techno Jazz, whose perfection and versatileness rather could have been expected from a producer from the likes of Carl Craig. As a digital bonus, the record contains the original version, which has been out of stock for years.

The 1st Single....
Analogue Stories Vol 1 kicks off with“That Real Live” a spoken word riff from a classic New York film, depicting a tale of the Warriors street gang traversing the five boroughs in an effort to get home, sets the tone for this analogue excursion. Wrapped in “Abacus” synthetics and dub echo guitars. Warm, rich deepness for your solar plexus! “Ignition sequence starts…” Channeling “Sun Ra” Austin cooks up a hypnotic lo-end wiggler filled with arpeggios and synths, topped off with haunting melodies and rhythmic nuances. To quote “Sun Ra” ….Space is the place “ On the B Side “Blacktronica”… a homage to the Belleville 3, The Detroit second wave, Wally Badarou, Herbie Hancock, George Clinton and all the melanated electronic experimenters past and present. Abacus concocts some machine funk for your soul. Rounding out the Analogue Stories is “In4mation”, a play on word structure begging the question “Do we all get the same information?” With subtle grooves ,warm stabbing synths and a fluted rushes of melody , this one will make you say ummm.... Session Victim - Light The Way (Iron Curtis Reprise)
Session Victim need little by way of introduction having been releasing on Delusions consistently for the last 10 years and becoming the undisputed poster boys for the label in the process. Despite their regular appearance however, it’s always a real treat to announce a new record from the German duo and we have to say, the Screen Off EP may well find them in their finest form to date! Coming hot off their latest downtempo LP entitled Low Key, Low Pressure for Night Time Stories, you can tell Hauke and Matthias were ready to take things back to the dance-floor and have delivered an EP which looks set to become a future classic and no doubt big in the box of discerning DJ’s the world over. Screen Off is really it’s own thing, living somewhere on the long and winding road between the Bar Kays and the Bad Brains, suffice to say that what it lacks in easily definable attributes it makes up for in sheer energy and raw attitude. Hauke and Matthias re-invite Jamaican poet and vocalist Ras Stimulant, who contemplates our screen addictions and urges us to disconnect and be present in the moment. Matthias’ rolling bassline provides the backbone, whilst hints of crunchy Moog and chopped guitar samples all bring a sense of urgency to the track. Light The Way acts as an antidote, bringing a sense of calm melancholia in contrast to the title track’s low-end, funked-up fervour. A soft focus and almost distant drum groove draws us in whilst arpeggiating synths add a sense of optimism, reinforcing the tracks title. Closing out the release we have Session Victim’s studio partner, good friend and all-round top producer Iron Curtis in for a remix of Light The Way. Johannes takes an interesting approach for his Illuminati interpretation, enhancing the breakbeat feel and mixing up chopped samples with classic 808 drums. A muscular bassline adds extra weight to his remix but without losing the subtle musicality and positive vibe of the original. Being the vinyl purists they are, Session Victim and Iron Curtis top up the physical 12“ EP with the exclusive Screen Off Acapella and an additional Iron Curtis Remix Reprise.

2
Metal Master (Sven Väth) - Spectrum (Original Mix)
Tracklist:
(A1) Metal Master – Spectrum (Bart Skils & Weska Reinterpretation)
(B1) Metal Master – Spectrum (Original Mix)
Release Info:
black 12-inch vinyl + cover with rainbow silver foil
You may have already been waiting for this one. After the limited splattered one-sided vinyl edition, this 12-inch pressing comes with the remastered original mix on the B-side.
The original, the second release on the label Harthouse at the time, is an all-time classic and went down in the music history of Frankfurt. Thirty years later, the track by Sven Väth and A.C. Boutsen has not lost its shine and will certainly continue to provide goosebump moments.
Techno is all too often described as timeless but while most of it eventually evaporates into the ether, there are some riffs, melodies, and breakdowns that remain etched into our collective consciousness forever. Legendary Frankfurt label Harthouse is home to more than its fair share of such moments, but you must go all the way back to 1992, the opening strains of the Metal Master classic ‘Spectrum’ to locate the source for this special single-sided remix release.
The common denominator and catalyst to all this is of course Sven Väth, co-creator of ‘Spectrum’ and founder of both Harthouse and Cocoon Recordings, while the independent variables in the equation are Bart Skils and Weska, who lend their considerable talent and vision to this sublime makeover.
Coming on like rolling thunder, sparks fly immediately as crackling vocoder licks, silky ride cymbals and soaring arpeggios build an atmosphere taut with anticipation before giving way to that iconic melody - a love letter from Frankfurt to Ibiza, wrought from metal, drenched in distortion yet pulling at the heartstrings - the perfect soundtrack to any chemical sunrise.
It‘s a powerful re-interpretation that pays the warmest respects to the original and, despite the relentless groove, there is still room for sentimentality - an invitation to momentarily pause for thought and reflect on the journey so far as the sumptuous breakdown washes over the dance-floor. But not for long, the simmering bass line soon emerges from the euphoria and the track kicks in again, driving us forward towards a new, uncharted spectrum of possibilities.

"If you're gonna go out, go out like a muthaf*cker." A Colourful Storm presents Exquisite Angst, a collection of Christoph de Babalon's most hardcore, abyssal and mutant creations of his haunting past. A blown-apart, mangled depiction of muck, grime and breakbeat-drone, its tracks parallel the timespan and isolated madness of the "If You're Into It, I'm Out Of It" recording sessions. Bleeding, darkside breakcore/jungle reconstructions that draw no comparison - there's a reason why Thom Yorke plucked him to tour with Radiohead, only to never speak to him again. Riva Starr x Todd Terry - Creators (Acidapella) (Vinyl Only)
Italian-born artist Riva Starr collaborates with New York-based DJ and producer Todd Terry on This Is The Sound. Previously, the pair have remixed each other’s solo productions, but their joint project on Hot Creations signifies a new beginning for the acclaimed producers. Together, the pair bring Riva’s vision to life on the title track, weaving a classic-house-tinged melody with crisp claps, penning an irresistible groove. Peak-time in every sense of the word. Riva Starr serves his solo offering on Creator, evoking a darker vibe. Chugging drums thump between a squelchy acid melody, paying homage to the birth of acid house in the late 80s, chopped with more contemporary textures. Based in East London, Riva Starr’s roots lie in Naples, Italy. Having moved to London in 2008, Riva immersed himself in the UK tech house scene, playing across the country in Printworks, Motion, and Orange Yard to further afield in Pacha, Watergate and Space Miami. As a multi-dynamic producer, Riva’s discography boasts remixes of work by Dennis Ferrer, Fatboy Slim, and Claptone and solo releases on Defected, Black Book Records and his own Snatch!Records imprint. Grammy Award-nominated artist Todd Terry is a stalwart on the global house scene, breaking through in the mid-90s with the classic house heater “Keep on Jumpin” ft. Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown. Since then, Todd has produced a colossal body of work on Defected, Inhouse, Freeze Records and several others, keeping his sound aligned with his New York heritage and reinventing it with a fresh flavour.
