“No one wants to work their body anymore,” says the Montreal merrymaker from atop
a throne in the exact shape of a digital wallet. “I get it. Who wants their surplus sweat
equity vacuumed up off the dance floor by corporate parasites when the real future’s
in decentralized skanking? But that’s why people in my position - the top one-percent
in terms of nightlife and hospitality take-home pay - have to offer real benefits to risking it all in the clubs. I’m talking dance-move insurance, competitive drink ticket
packages, and - most of all - the kind of brick-and-mortar bangers Rhythm Nation
was founded upon back in 1814.”
While gratingly content with the original version, Tiga has nonetheless chosen to
flood the Marketplace of Ideas with a plurality (3) of voices he feels will optimally position this release in today’s unforgiving Neo-Centrist landscape. This stunning grassfed vinyl 12” opens with a remix by Berlin-based vinyl-only DJ Héctor Oaks, who has
been described as “operating at the absolute vanguard of rave.” Please remember
that describing people this way is basically injecting them with Imposter Syndrome.
The release also features a remix by Der Zyklus, an alias of Gerald Donald, the
epochal genius from Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Japanese Telecom, Abstract Thought,

Tiga is back to tell you what you've always needed to hear with his new single "Eye Luv U." Co-produced by one half of Paranoid London, the new single harnesses all the pure source energy of what enlightened club-goers often describe as their favourite emotion.
"The title came to me while I was playing a pyramid that had been converted into a multi-purpose event space," says the Canadian DJ/Producer. "The hieroglyphics over what is now the coat check made me imagine a world in which pictures could mean words and words could mean anything. The thing about wordplay is that it's fascinating to conceive of different realities informed by different systems of meaning, and how each reality would invariably bend to vault me to the pinnacle of all possible worlds. It's humbling, really."
Rising Scottish talent Jasper James darkens the tone considerably on his remix, which would not be out of place at a classic off-the-grid warehouse rave. But not so fast, because Butch's equally great "80s Warehouse Acid Remix" also lays claim to that warehouse, challenging what it means to be "warehouse" in an age when corporations pay people to throw parties in what used to be underground settings.
"Warehouse is a state of mind," adds Tiga helpfully. "It's that indescribable feeling that transports you back to the first time you read an oral history about dance culture. I read one sponsored by Mountain Dew about three years ago, and I've never looked back."

Such is the case with Turbo label head Tiga, who has played 11Schnull & Newinfluenzer’s 2023 underground hit “Ich und meine Ubahn” in each and every one of his DJ sets since its non-Turbo release. But unbridled track-passion is not always enough, and sometimes one must take a step back and recognize that the music business is also a business. So our in-house Corporate Development team, which has of late been entirely focused* on figuring out how best to monetize Tintin entering the public domain, set to work, successfully licensing the original while also creating the fun and potentially life-saving opportunity to visualize just how amicable the licensing process was.
All of which brings us to the remix pack at hand. The essentially perfect electro programming and vocal performance of the 2023 original leaves virtually no angle for improvement, save for the fact that the 4:20 runtime not enough for the median touring DJ to satisfy their chatbot mistress before they must begin the exacting work of selecting and mixing the next track. As such, we enlisted producers who could interpret the song from different planes of existence, namely Chilean-German wizard Matias Aguayo, French hardstyle prodigy Krarmpf, German aesthetes Extrawelt, Hamburg electro master DJ MELL G, and Asturian highbrow god Architectural. For reference, the planes conjured by these remixes are as follows: blacked out on Ivermectin; finally beat a pay-to-win mindfulness game; voted the Greatest Living Teen Artist by the readers of US Weekly; transformed into an expressionless little muscleman as if by magic; going viral; and curing jet lag in our lifetime. It is not for us to say which remix corresponds to which realm of human experience, but we do know that it is limited to those options.
Finally, please do not invite a chatbot lover into your marriage. Your spouse cannot hope to compete. And know that this advice comes from our best understanding of current world affairs, and does not represent what a repressed British man would calling “taking the pee.” At their very best, jokes are funny, and the fate of the human bedroom is no laughing matter at all.

As studious Turbo watchers have no doubt clocked*, we have paid access to the halls of European power, where you get to make backroom deals with Emmanuel Macron and British Seinfeld as Opus’ “Live is Life” blares over a gigantic bluetooth speaker. And, yeah, you’ll probably run into the most celebrated European producers of our time. Pional, Axel Boman, Mano Le Tough, and Roman Flügel — these are the kinds of names you only see once you’ve reached the highest levels of success, be it in dance music production or purchasing the hottest tickets in town on your favorite mobile device. We called each on these titans to anoint “MZ” into the modern pantheon of club anthems, and you can bet your last eurobond that they delivered. But we also wanted some new blood, so we turned to rising Lithuanian superstar DJ JM. Next, “Snacks at Waco” makes skillful use of a hammering industrial beat to hammer home the importance of loyalty and community, and “Parasocially There for You” deftly soundtracks anxiety dreams about meeting your favorite podcaster. Finally, closer “Nimby Orgy” likely represents the very first sexual aftercare banger. NOTE: we’ve heard bad things about both NIMBYs and YIMBYs, and as such have adopted a militantly neutral position on the matter of who is f-ing and s-ing in our backyard.
Given that Keepsakes is a vinyl-only DJ, we’ve done him the courtesy of making this release available both on vinyl and digitally. While this would have been an incredible opportunity to completely shut him out of playing his own tracks, we decided that this would be unfair to the music itself. Because at the end of the day, Turbo takes its marching orders from Harmony, Melody, Rhythm, and Timbre, and to betray even one of our ethereal masters would be tantamount to kicking our own vision square in the nuts. Years of simmering mutual admiration between Turbo and Architectural finally erupt with Good Night, Whatever That Is, the Asturian producer's first release on the label.
Nothing gets us hot and bothered like the prospect of featuring a true artist on Turbo. In fact, we are so f-ing jazzed to be working with techno genius Architectural that we even dropped scrappy “fun-house” producer Archie Textures from our roster to avoid confusion.
The Good Night, Whatever That Is EP imbues the timeless platonic forms of techno with an energy, craft and depth that will feel instantly familiar to anyone who has built a cathedral with their bare hands. And yet the unadulterated power of lead single “Steampunk” and the even-less-adulterated power of “Tubular Funk,” confirm that this release also has one foot squarely planted on the secular dance floor, coursing with the searing bio-fluids that drive and torment all sexual beings. Meanwhile, your deep human need for contrast will be sated by the IDM-ambient euphorics of “Eternity Land” and the highbrow breaks of “Rousing Rhythms”.
In the interest of exposing this work to as many thought-hungry minds as possible, we will be randomly hiding 10,000 copies of the EP on CD-R in bottles of Drakkar Noir energy drink at participating supermarkets throughout the Americas and Eurasia. Our hope is that this marks the moment many of you finally become teachable, fully accepting that getting razor-like shards of CD-R lodged in your throat is simply the price of admission to the Idea Man’s Ball.

Ambien Baby is the collaborative project by D Tiffany and NAP, which serves as a borderless zone for both friends to channel a freewheeling experimentation with whatever sounds they happen to be jiving with in the moment. In mistrust and blindness mankind wages a COLD WAR, East against West in a spiraling
cycle of mindless escalation. For 40 years the madness continues until it reaches its
inevitable climax, NUCLEAR WAR. Armageddon is achieved at the push of a button, millions
of lives are destroyed. Those who are spared struggle for survival in the bleak conditions of
NUCLEAR WINTER. Acid rain destroys the landscape, darkness falls across the face of the

Deep underground, the last survivor works feverishly in his isolated laboratory. A lone
scientist attempting desperately to save mankind, he uses occult technology and
deep-frozen human tissue to create a group of 12 radiation-resistant HUMAN CLONES.
They set forth to rebuild and repopulate the planet, whilst the scientist continues his work to

Every track on 'Variations' is a battle-tested bomb. Gesaffelstein’s sound is clearly
influenced by New Wave and the Gigolo-era electro (2001-2) of fellow Frenchmen
The Hacker and David Carretta, but it sounds like a fresh update rather than
pastiche, revitalized and refined down to a modern and versatile core. These tracks
work in Tiga's festival sets alongside some of the summer's biggest anthems, yet are
equally at home in a more underground setting, e.g. Von Party's 5am warm-up
before Ivan Smagghe at a London warehouse party.
The title track has the most attitude, establishing a palette of dark staccato basslines,
crunching hi-hats, hands-in-the-air cowbells and trippy synth leads. Selected Faces
and Atmosphere are arguably even more straightforward club weapons, their
breakdowns creating just enough 'insanity' without getting annoying, their grooves
dropping back in with a cool, restrained power that will win over hiss-weary DJs.
With remixes upcoming for Turbo and Institubes, a follow-up EP for Turbo in the

jacket of nostalgia for everything from the power of Industrial and 80s New Wave to

We have no hesitation in declaring that he has single-handedly updated an entire
genre, sharpened the edges, and notably traded in the camp and pastiche that made

massive and very French, but never out of order. These are futuristic party bombs

The Ghia saga unfolds once more, but in this chapter, there's a new and unique twist. "Out of Luck" draws its roots from a previously lost track, originally composed by the group in 1985. This time around, the song has been expertly reworked by Marian Tone, with new vocals by Adriano Prestel. The outcome? But let's rewind to the beginning of this adventure: Earlier this year, DJ Scientist stumbled upon another early Ghia composition tucked away in the depths of a master tape. It was a treasure too precious to remain unheard. Sadly, the original track couldn't see the light of day due to sound quality and issues with the original vocals. To make matters more disappointing, no instrumental version survived. Thus, the only way to share this catchy boogie funk track with the world was to recreate it from scratch.

PSSSH 003x enlists a diverse range of producers to reimagine the labels third offering. DJ Plead, Huerta and Aubrey all turn in stellar remixes along with 2 new remixes from Dauwd himself. DJ Plead kicks things off with his signature bass heavy sound on his version of The Yuzer, setting a high bar for what’s to come. Accompanying him on the A-side are a couple of cuts from label founder Dauwd. PSSSH 003x enlists a diverse range of producers to reimagine the labels third offering. DJ Plead, Huerta and Aubrey all turn in stellar remixes along with 2 new remixes from Dauwd himself. DJ Plead kicks things off with his signature bass heavy sound on his version of The Yuzer, setting a high bar for what’s to come. Accompanying him on the A-side are a couple of cuts from label founder Dauwd. The first, “Electronic Live Mix” of SpaceSamba is inspired by Dauwd’s live performance at Mutek 2022 while his Deep Dub Mix of The Yuzer could be some of his best work to date on the imprint. On the flip Huerta houses up SpaceSamba which an excellent dance floor ready remix and Aubrey rounds things off with a solid groove interpretation of The Yuzer.

Scandi-disco don Ray Man opens up with typically lush cosmic melodies and loose-limed nu-disco beats with more than a hint of funk. Tigerbalm then heads into a tropical oasis with 'Cosmic Union' (feat Joy Tyson) which has Afro rhythms and steamy vocals bringing the heat. Ruf Dug shows his multi-genre chops again with 'Vape Quarter Rhythm' which is part proto-house cut and part dreamy Italo bliss out with rave whistles and hands-in-the-air chords. This new limited edition box set celebrates Carsten Nicolai's beloved interactive installation, bausatz-noto, currently featured at The Vinyl Factory: Reverb exhibition at 180 Studios.
The exhibition features an expanded version of Nicolai's artwork bausatz noto (1998) - an interactive piece centered around four Technics SL-1210 turntables and a selection of colored vinyl records. Visitors are invited to select and play the records, each of which has been cut with 10 unique locked grooves on each side. As Nicolai explains, "the different colors indicate different sound material, from the very abstract to the graphic" that users can loop and layer to create infinite permutations and combinations.
Previously released as a sold-out signed edition with a hardback book, this 2024 box set edition brings the installation into your own space. Comprised of twelve 10? colored vinyl records, each featuring 20 unique locked grooves (10 per side), the concept remains the same: Nicolai provides the tools to build your own soundscapes.
The records are sleeved in twelve custom-made archive folders, housed in a silk-covered handmade box with debossed artwork. Limited to 1000 copies worldwide, each box set is hand-signed and numbered by Carsten Nicolai himself. The bausatz noto box set will be released on 21 September, 2024 and available on the NOTON and The Vinyl Factory shops.

Glasgow-based, Rome-born Loris S. Sarid, like many during the pandemic, found himself placing his focus in all new places once he was locked down with little to do. As such his close care for a little tomato plant, grown on a windowsill in his flat, gave him an unusual spark of inspiration which led to this album, Music for Tomato Plants. It is his homage to "the unapparent courage of simplicity, and the beauty and lightness of the most ordinary things." In real terms, it is a lush ambient exploration with melodies that are optimistic and hopeful. Sustained chords unfurl like new growth, fresh percussive lines emerge like ripened fruit and the whole thing is beautifully pure and innocent.
