After 35 years of radio silence, there is good news from space for all Italo and Spacedisco fans.

Android is back with a new adventure ..SpaceX.. the sequel to the 1986 classics Skydancer and Aliens. The catchy synthesizer loops, the tight fat beats and hypnotic sequencers take you back to the 80s… but are also definitely of this time.

SpaceX is produced and written by Marc Hartman. Incl Synthwave Remix by Nu Disco heroes Dave Leatherman and Bruce Nolan. SpaceX is taken from the forthcoming Android album Spaceman’s Return. More

When you’re thinking about the early days of disco music, you automatically think of the record that dominated the dance floors and dance charts: “Dancer” by Gino Soccio.

With this record the Canadian producer and synthesizer wizard became an indispensable part of the golden disco years.

Four more albums followed, and 6 hit singles entered the charts worldwide.

In 1984 the producer disappeared without a trace.

With nothing but respect to the original, Marc Hartman produced this 2024 version. Vocals have been done by Italo Disco legend Fred Ventura. The mysterious lady with the French spoken words now finally also has been unraveled and added by Ivy Sharrard. Dan Lacksman is a Belgian electronic music pioneer who co-founded the Electro Pop Dance formation Telex and is credited for their classic 'Moskow Diskow.' He also worked under the Transvolta name but put out only one single, 1978's impossibly hard-to-find classic 'Disco Computer.' Dan himself has carefully remastered the original for this special 12" reissue. It's still a retro-future sound all these years later with the signature talk box vocals and sleek drum machines under cosmic synths. On the flip is a long version of 'You Are Disco' which is a similar vibe but with a slightly more lively groove and vocal. Two serene dancefloor gems by any standards. More

Land Of The Drums is a unique blend of natural animal sounds put to Rhythm and a driving Dance percussive Beat. Producer Neftali Santiago ( Former Drummer Of Mandrill) was a sample pioneer in 1980. All animal sounds were placed with a Melotron ( first sampler with analogue tapeloops). The single was only available as promo and got a lot of attention in Holland, for example as Radio tune from legendary radioprogram Soul Show with Ferry Maat. The promotional copies are selling for as much as $85 a copy because of dj’s collecting. Nowaday there’s still a demand for the record. More
