I Coccodrilli - Sabato Italiano (Strumentale)
Repress!
Blue curaçao, gin, triple sec, ice and a lemon zest. A cocktail with out-of-the-ordinary gradations is a prerogative of the Grand Hotel. Suggestive, Exclusive and luxurious.
If your dream is to spend a perfect weekend that offers you more than just sun and relaxation the most suitable solution for you is this fantastic establishment located just a few kilometres from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Its splendid swimming pool is positioned on a terrace that offers an incredible and beautiful coastal panorama, a permanent agora from June to September where love flourishes and dies. The lapping of the placid waters is hypnotic, a sparkling sound that mingles with the ticking of the empty cups of Angelo Azzurro while easy listening music is played in the background.
I Coccodrilli are the main band, they entertain the audience with a mix of positivity in their funky notes during those times when the jukebox’s on pause and it stops marking the passing of the hours. Sabato Italiano is their latest hit and it’s now available on 7”.
Bikinis, the dancing and the kisses. The endless season of youth.

Pink colorations and disco pop confections abound on Eva Eva Eva’s self titled 1978 LP, which is the newest reissue on Futuribile in collaboration with Peer-Southern Productions.
The LP possess a stunning sense of eclecticism and depth, with dazzling displays of diva dynamism proceeding over a range of textures and moods…shimmering disco, rustic blues, cinematic exotica, ripping rock’n’roll, and candy dipped funk and soul, with touches of cosmic synth occasionally accenting the mix. And sitting deep on the B-side is a wonderful Italian language version of “Stayin’ Alive.”

Carlo Fontana - Tu Vuo Bene A Me
For their next release, Futuribile looks to the work of Salerno star Carlo Fontana, presenting a set of hard-to-find & unreleased treasures titled ‘La Musica Del Sud.’
Carefully remastered at the West Hill Studio, the collection of tracks — which features contributing arrangements from Tullio De Piscopo — forms a moody pop funk paradise, with jazz horns and soul brass layered together, and amorous vocals crooning, supported by lush harmonizations and greasy gliding bass. Disco beats and exotic drums dance, prismatic pads and soft synths seek the stars, piano and guitar sing a spaced out blues, and amidst the moving grooves and deep swinging jams, moments of beautiful balladry emerge to touch the spirit.
Carlo Fontana's work is further testimony to a courtly and sophisticated musical aesthetic in vogue in Naples (and surrounding areas) between the 70s and 80s which had as its main proponents and protagonists exceptional musicians such as Joe Amoruso, Tony Esposito, Pino Daniele, Elio D'Anna, Enzo Cervo and many others.

Little Italy - Mouse Trap Town
Naples 1982, the earthquake leaves rubble and dismay, unease and misery, smuggling and heroin.
The reconstruction is a shadow that will last more than a decade, it is a shady deal between bureaucrats and
criminals.
Naples is an open construction site and the redemption was long coming. There was the "music-music" of the
Neapolitan Power, which conquers the national limelight, and a dark and marginal enigma called
"VESUWAVE" (especially for those who have not experienced it), that remains so, even after many years.
Naples is not a country for young bands that are not familiar with tradition and "bel canto" while the record
industry inhabits a platonic and incorruptible world beyond the vault of heaven. At that time five Lucanians and
three Neapolitans founded Little Italy, probably a tribute to the homonymous district of New York and inspired
by Talking Heads, Contorsions, Polyrock, B-52's, Konk and Liquid Liquid. They have the freedom to
experiment and smash the stages of the Italian peninsula festivals more attentive to the new waves as well as
participate in some television broadcasts. They basically don’t unnoticed but in spite of the apprenticeship and
the kilometers covered in three years of activity (from 1983 to 1985) all they had the chance to record were a
couple of songs.
Fragments is a compilation made with archived materials that Futuribile Records releases on vinyl after
having discovered and restored old unreleased tapes from back in the day and made available by the band
members themselves. Seven tracks that highlight a collective in continuous transformation and outline
their drivers and abilities.
Little Italy have a horn section that gives them that chromatic vivacity, a typically mutant funk guitar groove,
two fatal and dazed female voices who speak many languages (English, French, Italian) reciting collages of
cryptic texts evoking modernity through no-sense and cultured quotations; a funk thrill in the basslines and
drums solutions that give a nod to the sly disco beat of a specific easy listening, elegant and refined Italo
sound. A super-sophisticated sound with the right dose of fusion, proper New Wave, which in the more New-
Yorker passages recalls the volcanic and sweaty sound of the contemporary and fellow citizens Bisca,
another out-of-the-box band member. The warm Mediterranean wind blowing on some tracks certifies their
origin and the exoticism leads Little Italy to drink from that oasis of escape.
After all, the escape from a world that does not contemplate banality is the synthesis of the 1980s thought.

Eva - Mr Love (Luca Dell'Orso Remix)
After an extended break from vinyl releases, Mothball Record is back with a long awaited Italo-disco reissue.
A longtime passion project of label owner Hysteric, “Take Me… Mr Love” is something of a unique entry in the later years of Italo-disco, forgoing the typically smooth and processed sound in favour of a rough and low budget production, making up in charm what it lacks in polish.
The release is completed by a powerful remix from the Dutch Italo sensation Luca Dell’Orso. Coming off the back of a string of successful releases on Bordello A Parigi, Red Laser Records and Ritmo Fatale, here he brings new life into the track and takes it into well and truly to the dancefloor.

The RAH Band - Messages From The Stars (Astro Mix)

The RAH Band - Messages From The Stars (Short Wave Mix)
Reissue of the 1983's classic Messages From The Stars by British Electronic Funk outfit, The Rah Band.
Released in 1983, "Messages From The Stars" by The RAH Band—AKA multi-instrumentalist and producer Richard Anthony Hewson—emerged as a modest club hit, peaking at number 42 on the UK charts. Four decades later, the song has been rediscovered and revered as a cult classic, transcending time and generations. This reissue celebrates The RAH Band’s pioneering sound and the track’s unexpected rise from obscurity to international acclaim, largely thanks to devoted selectors and fans who never let it fade away.
Created on a Roland SH5 synthesizer in Hewson’s home studio, the track’s iconic vocals, spontaneously delivered with playful innocence by Hewson’s then-wife Liz, proved to be a masterstroke, with her warm, conversational tone giving the track an authentic charm. The interstellar lyrics, cosmic synth-line and funky bassline combined are addictively catchy, undoubtedly contributing to the track's success as a crossover boogie-funk classic.
The RAH Band’s resurgence owes much to DJs like DaM-FunK and Martin Iveson (Atjazz), who introduced "Messages" to new audiences in the ‘90s and ‘00s. DaM-FunK recalls discovering the track in the late '90s and making it the centrepiece of his sets, with crowds demanding repeat plays during his iconic Funkmosphere nights in Los Angeles. Fast-forward to 2019, “Messages” was selected as the opening track on pop superstar Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonded’ radio show and playlist, fuelling the track's viral explosion on TikTok in 2020 and sparking a relentless, enduring internet popularity that continues to this day.
Hewson, now in his eighties and residing quietly near the Sussex coast, continues to create music every day in his garage-turned-studio, using the original vintage gear that once brought "Messages From The Stars" to life. Enjoy this slice of space-disco history, where messages from the past have made their way to the present.

Claudia - Com Mais De 30
A. Georgette - Kiriê / B. Claudia - Com Mais De 30
Back in stock due to popular demand, the 26th release in our signature Brazil 45’s series. For this 7 inch, we shone the light on two Brazilian masterpieces from Georgette and Claudia that are firm favourites of some of the biggest DJs in the business, including Gilles Peterson, Four Tet and Floating Points.
'Kiriê' by Georgette is simply one of ‘those’ tracks. It gets better with every listen and you hear something different every time. Taken from the hard to obtain ‘A Moca do Mar’ LP on Tapecar in 1976, previously unavailable on 7”, you won’t forget this one in a hurry. Long championed by Gilles Peterson and co, the tight uplifting guitar changes, layered percussion and super-subtle strings radiate under Georgette’s vocal, backed by a chorus of male vocals.
The flip features one of Claudia’s best, ‘Com Mais de 30’ a cover of Marcos Valle and Paulo Sérgio Valle’s original version. Fuzz guitars, joyous piano, huge drums, percussion and Claudia’s soaring vocal make for a heavy yet uplifting MPB/funk track of the highest order. Originally released on her hard to find ‘Jesus Cristo’ LP on Odeon in 1971. Also featured on Four Tet and Floating Points iconic Plastic People closing party mix.

Tending Tropic - Mowing The Lawn
After the success of their first single the super hit 'Hondebrok' (You can trust a man with a Moustache vol. 5), Amsterdam-based trio Tending Tropic return to Moustache Records with their debut EP featuring 3 original tracks and a remix from Machinegewehr that further explore the modern Italo Disco Rave genre. A1. Terpentine. A track that has been the secret weapon and the NEW DJ hit for label boss David Vunk, debuting with strong dancefloor response playing this out for a year non stop at many national and international festivals and venues. Expect crazy chatchy bassline and hypnotic trippy energizing melody. The new hit where everybody was waiting for! A2. Terpentine (Machinegewehr remix). Rotterdam-based Machinegewehr delivers a remix that takes the title track deeper into Italo territory, adding a distinctive, nostalgic twist. B1. Our Adventure Begins. Modulating Yamaha synths and an adventurous Italo-inspired lead, a track that symbolises the beginning of the next chapter for Tending Tropic. Described by DJ Cormac as absolutely beautiful! B2. Mowing the Lawn. Final track of the EP drives the listener to the darker side of Italo, complete with signature synth hooks and a deep, clean drop. C1. Kilimanjaro (digital bonus track). Named after the dormant volcano and highest mountain in Africa, this track wreaks havoc using a combination of acid basslines and Italo strings. Dont sleep it this gone is gone.

Demuja - Turn Me On
After 5 million Spotify plays for Turn Me On, 2 million for Move & the first press of the record selling for over £100 on Discogs. Demuja's Move EP was well overdue a repress .. so here it is!
On Demuja's Freerange debut, the Move EP offers up four original tracks, each with their own distinct flavour. Opening the release we have title track Move spring into action with simple Rhodes chords floating across a crisp, driving up-tempo groove showing off the deeper side to Demuja.
Next up B.O.O.M offers us a simple yet captivating, dancefloor-focused affair with a lone, repeating piano stab hooking us into the action.
Flipping over we have Into My Brain which brings some acid-tinged Italo vibes and a jacking beat to proceedings whilst the closing track Turn Me On cuts up a much loved Paradise Garage classic for a warm, soul-infused slice of classic, bumpy house music.
