Kickin' off with infectious, 2-step energy "Hooked On You" is a poppin' jam for hazy days and sunkissed dancefloors. Next up "Facettes" takes retro elements and gives them new life in this glorious funk-filled, swinging cut.

Release Note:
Back by high demand is Cologne's house connoisseur DJOKO with his third Shall Not Fade release - a feel-good 4-tracker which occupies the most uplifting intersection of piano house, cosmic disco and funk. Following the highly-acclaimed 2-step-infused Hooked EP and the deeper, more bass-driven Ventura EP which followed, DJOKO further flaunts his expansive versatility on his latest release.

Setting the tone is the title track's sunny pads which lead us to a long build up before an ecstatic climax - a true floor-filler. Next up "Take Me Back" is truly unique, with the dynamism of bongos and a hi-frequency melody that sounds as though it's come straight from Yellow Magic Orchestra's synths, constituting just one element of the track's luxurious and richly-layered cosmic soundscape.

"Odyssey" continues in the same extraterrestrial vein, this time adding euphoric piano chords and poppy vocals into the mix. Finally, "Lost in Time" eases the EP to a close as full-bodied pads are swapped out to make way for a funk-infused bassline and the teasing of vocals which whisper sutrily underneath classy piano tinkles.

His debut release on Shall Not Fade, Amor Fati EP is a perfectly curated four tracker of jazz with a modern twist, as shown on the opening track and first single "Lone Raver" and its bittersweet chords that blend with melancholy vocals and open out into a euphoric dancy beat. The anthemic trance overtones carry through to "Rah That's a Mad Question", which takes classic piano house vibes and more summertime heat with its Balaeric energy.

"Jazz Club After Hours" is a triumphant, high sheen lounge roller with intricate jazz instrumentation and playful percussion to boot. Brawther and Alixkun present a collection of 15 underground Japanese house tracks from the early days of electronic dance music, back when the genre was sweeping across the globe. Ahead of a related documentary project titled 'HOUSE' in Japanese characters, the compilation is the first to showcase the works of Japanese house on an historical and global level, with classics and rare-as-a-hen's teeth tracks. Carefully selected by Brawther and his sidekick Ailxkun, this is a nectar of deep grooves and blissful melodies that form the blueprint of the Japanese House Sound. Legends like Soichi Terada, Yukihiro Fukutomi or The Ecstasy Boys are back to back with unsung hearoes like Takecha, Magic Ware or Katsumi Hidano. There's no stopping Ludovic Llorca! After having several successful releases out on labels like We Play House, Shadeleaf and House Of Disco, Art Of Tones returns to our beloved LT family with a second 12" 'The Rainbow Song' is the follow up to The Same Thing EP released back in 2013. If you've come across Art Of Tones before you know what's in store for you. The Rainbow Song got all the signatures of a great Art Of Tones track. It's uplifting, got a tight groove, a strong vocal hook and well crafted jazz-like rhodes chords, it's damn catchy! For remix duties we find one of Paris' finest purveyors of high quality underground electronic music, S3A aka Max Fader. Max showcases his deep seated love for disco and house and has created a version that celebrates both, while aiming straight for your hips. With just a few added elements he takes the track in a different but no less powerful direction. More

Long time house and disco devotee Dave Lee comes through on Z Records once more with a sampler from this years ZR Essentials collection. It features two of his masterful reworks starting with Jamiroquai's 'Little L'. He flips into a funked up cosmic delight with plenty of the original's synth flourishes melodic hooks and orchestration all present and correct but with added slap bass, replayed rhodes and beefy new drums which make this a surefire dancefloor winner pretty much anywhere. On the flip comes Dave Lee's Disco Fantasy mix of Shelia & B Devotion's 1979 hit 'Spacer' which has a more retro disco sound thanks to the masterful original work of Chic. Additional clav, new string parts and solo-ing keys give 'Spacer' the extended DJ mix it never had at the time of original release. More

Boaksi’s first EP “Under the Pavilion” builds upon the productions of his debut album by featuring a combination of more club oriented elements together, often characterised by layered synth patterns, breaks and textured percussion. As the second release on Small Steps, Boaksi looks to create an ethereal and refined sound to follow the labels dreamy ambience. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes upbeat.
