Obia Records third instalment has arrived with “sonic movements EP”. This ritual is guided by Caribbean producer Trinidadian Deep who delves deep into the spirit of the cosmos with a highly percussive and spacious chords filled EP.

The main track “sonic movements” quickly evolves from rhythm filled percussion to beautiful pads and infectious piano solos. Accompanied by exceptional synth work this track captures the listener attention from start to finish.

On the B-side you will find “sounds and movement” a more stripped down four to the floor big room cut with a vocal shot on top that sends the dancer a float. Short melodic chords are the backbone of this production. Enhanced by a well-balanced percussion placement and synth layering “sounds and movement” taps into the sunset spirit.

“Slow ya thing” as the names states turns the tempo down and makes this record a steady choice for the versatile DJ or music listener. The track drags through multiple emotions and feelings by means of great pads and laidback drums. Piano chords that open the soul remain throughout the entire track.

Back to the A-side Wendel Sield provides a remix to the main cut of the EP. His “Obi rework” functions as a standalone track that minimalistically mimics sections of the main cut creating a deeper vibe. A dirty and playful synth line hypnotizes the listener towards the point of no return.

There isn’t many who would disagree with the underlying sentiment that electronic music makes us feel something extraordinary. Much in the same way, the possibilities for creative discourse and cosmic interactivity are accessible to anyone with an open mind. It’s in this place where these possibilities materialise, and it’s in this space where SYNCROPHONE 39 operates within.
You see, you won’t find cleverly constructed adjectives or nonsensical descriptors for the music presented here. It doesn’t need them. The music speaks for itself, much in the same way the artists do. Stojche has been carving out timeless techno for two decades now, working tirelessly without fanfare to enrich a scene that sits close to his heart. Whether that be through releases on his own imprint TANGIBLE ASSETS or the ever expanding a.r.t.less, his trademark sound signature is synonymous with the soul of Detroit. You may be hard pressed to find anyone else who’s been as consistent with this sound over the years as he has. On the other hand, Gerard Hanson aka Convextion has been doing exactly that without fault his entire career. So the combination of these two artists on this release makes perfect sense.
Syncro39 is a celebration of core values in music. Of devotion to a singular obsession crafted over the course of decades devoid of trends or cheap influences, social or otherwise. It’s that unwillingness to compromise and to put everything on the line in the pursuit of the dreaming process that makes this a special release.
One thing is for certain. Those who are inspired by Stojche’s signature original and the timeless journey of Convextion’s remix,
will carry themselves through the smoke and haze into the sunlight as it takes some time for the rush to subside. That’s probably an apt abstract for this release thus far. For the most part though, the narrative for Stojche has only just begun.

On a chance encounter whilst producing in Nashville of all places, Zepherin was so blown away by vocalists he was using to do backing on a project, that he immediately felt inspired to record a new version of Raphael Saadiq’s classic Skyy, Can You Feel Me. British producer Zepherin Saint has always been a man with a fierce passion for quality-strewn, vocal heavy deep house. Escola Records is very proud to present a refreshing reinterpretation of Uptown Funk Empire’s 2009 cover of Pharoah Sanders’ You’ve Got to Have Freedom. The release features four dancefloor-oriented versions crafted by legendary French DJ and producer Greg Gauthier, alongside talented musician, DJ, and producer Lucas Moinet (half of Groove Boys Project and Keraw). The A-side delivers the smooth and mellow “937” Vocal and Dub versions, where Greg and Lucas offer two uplifting, soul-infused reworks in a groove- heavy ride full of organic grooves and a beautiful xylophone solo, creating the perfect space/beat for some of the most hopeful vocals we could ever dream of. The B-side completes the package with the “Dance Culture” remixes, paying tribute to the legendary party Greg launched over 20 years ago at Paris’ iconic house music mecca, the Djoon club.

The tone always makes the music. But only those who actually make the sound? An ancient-house-avantgarde dream has always been there since the legendary "Warehouse" days of Ron Hardy, to bring more sounds and tones constantly to an independent, repetitive development. And thus beyond the limits of an executive creative artist on the otherwise purely commercial sense what we call in common „beyond imagination“.

"Raw Footage", the latest album concoction of Chicago house legend Ron Trent (Prescription) on his new imprint "Electric Blue" works in the best sense of Stanislav Lem heroes Trurl & Klapauciusals, cruising like those two metal brains frantically invented by the universe of 4/4-Sounds to get insane tracks out of the new material matter located there, and put them together to brand new ones. This trackwerk varies as well as of course between classical Chi-Town to the context of contemporary, epic house dubs and lives in a perfidious manner from the interaction of various computer modules that constantly spits out new and exciting interactions. In the end, the software sings only as digital output of great analog sounds, which may well be understood as a mocking voice to the majority of contemporary Homeboy wackiness formats."Unpredictable" and less "cryptic" might fit here as a keyword excellent, where you kick out of the rough house plant a significant entertainment value must, without the need to posess necessarily the same nerves of steel.
