Michal Wolski - Maze (Anthony Linell Remix)
After an intensive 2019, which saw Michal Wolski release a number of EPs, he’s starting 2020 with a return to Boddika’s Nonplus Records with ‘Chant’ - a 12 filled with deep, driving, detailed Techno. This new release, explores more nuanced and hypnotic territories of electronic music, placing off-beat and ambient structures alongside 4x4 Techno rhythms. ‘Chant’ is a sonic experimentation with modular synthesizers and a plethora of modern, digital-era tools. In addition to Wolski’s original work, is a remix from one of the most visionary modern Techno producers of our time, Anthony Linell, co-founder of the Northern Electronics record label. A1. Chant, A2. One With B1. Maze, B2. Maze (Anthony Linell Remix)

Michal Wolski - Energy Storm (Milena Glowacka Remix)
For the fourth iteration of the label catalog, Michal Wolski delivers two original tracks in his signature style and leads the label sound towards a more straightforward territory. For the A-Side, Leipzig-based producer, Vanta provided a deep remix. Milena Glowacka took care of the B-Side by creating a hard-hitting remix of Energy Storm.

michal wolski - GENERATOR
After a great debut on Eerie Records with his "Unthinkable Otherwiseness Ep", Polish producer Michal Wolski is back on Marco Shuttle's imprint with a brand new 12". A very playable and yet rather abstract and super deep 3 tracker which again confirms Wolski's talent in forging his intricate sound that manages to be sophisticated and complex without becoming of difficult absorption for the listener. Caleidoscope, the A side track, which also gives the title to the whole EP, is a multy layered 4/4 intensely atmospheric groover where pulsating basslines rolls over dubbed out percussive synth elements and finely dosed synewaves. On the flipside 'Waterfall" unfolds over a 3 bars acidy bassline in a crescendo that climaxes with a "waterfall" (as the title suggests) of reverbed monotone leads playing always the same note, while "Generator" remain on a similar vibe but with more marked and sharp synthetic percussive elements that make it sound like a tribal mantra coming from outer space.

Info:
Micha³ Wolski is a Polish musician, music journalist, radio DJ and tireless promoter of dub techno aesthetics. Eight extended compositions on his new record “La Mer” (Sea) recall those special moments when sound becomes a movement of a kinetic sculpture, an abstract painting, or a cinematic report from the Arctic solitude. Personal and introvert, yet simultaneously carrying certain universal message (cosmic loneliness? molecular life?), sound space created by Wolski manages to seduce listener and inhale her/him for whole 75 minutes. Associations with sculptural work with matter are not purely arbitrary. On his fourth full-length, artist consciously shapes complex and saturated form, further developing - on evidence on his earlier releases - penchant for exploring darker alleys of synthesis and sound design. In his varied and consistent narration, one can find a whole range of references to noblest protoplasts such as Pan Sonic, Rhythm & Sound, or even Vatican Shadow’s desert manipulation. However, the key to album’s consistency does not rely on the power of quote, it rather manifests itself in sheer scale and depth of imagined atmospheres and non-existent geographies. But Wolski’s constructs are much more than a set of sea sound fantasies. “La Mer” is a highly individualist vision of new worlds of listening AND hearing, truly deep acoustic ecology in time of overall hiss. Ribé - Variables (Shifted Rmx)
Ribe´ joins Boddika’s Nonplus Records imprint with his debut modular techno album entitled ‘Tested Signal LP’. Longstanding analogue enthusiast, producer and live performer Ribe´ is no stranger to the world of reduced and perfected techno having racked up countless hours amongst the cables and steel crates of his sound-producing machines. With previous releases on Non Series, Ex Aequo, PoleGroup’s sub-label AINE and with upcoming cuts on Warm Up and Token, alongside regularly appearing amongst Madrid’s club circuit, all play a vital part to fueling his credible and growing catalogue. The Spanish artist now delivers an ensnaring collection, that reflects the modular performer’s current output, on his first album - a project encompassing fifteen-tracks - which places focus on dark warehouse and machine-like sounds that engulf rhythm. ‘Overture’ opens with distant chords and a sparse atmosphere that is jarred by occasional glitches, both ‘Tested Signal’ and Ribe´ & Boddika’s collaborative cut ‘Fusion’ follow with sparking analogue qualities and buried sub-frequencies. Next, ‘Variables’ has a digital language to it with binary-like beats and bleeps until UK-based and Mote Evolver producer Shifted then follows with layering in a dubbed rhythm and intricate percussion ideal for early hour sessions. ‘Flux’ elevates the energy with its reverberating synth while tracks such as ‘Entropy’ and ‘Vacuum’ lean more towards cantering techno patterns alongside the disjointed and broken drums of ‘The Certainty of uncertain’, ‘Sub rosa’ and ‘Symmetry axis’. Finally, ‘Rhetoric’ then fluctuates with minimalist-style programming before ‘Quantic Drone’ hauntingly dissipates into a vast aural space, ‘Pulses’ then subtlety rattles with otherworldly sequences until ‘Prototype’ concludes with its tonal rich hits and chattering cymbals. TRACK LISTING:A1. Tested Signal, A2. Fusion w/ Boddika, B1. The Certainty of Uncertain, B2. Variables (Shifted Rmx)

Instra:mental - End Credits
Celebrating the 50th release on the Nonplus label, Instra:mental return with their sophomore album Timelines. A long awaited record that finally uncovers the unreleased gems of the legendary Autonomic Podcast series. This eleven track album features five, previously vinyl only cuts, with another six unreleased tracks from the vault. This is an album that will feel nostalgic to some but new to others. Classics like Photograph and Pacific Heights transport the listener back to a time where Instra:mental started to blur the boundaries in a pool of multiple genres, allowing artists to dip their toes with creative freedom. This release is mainly rooted in 170bpm (with the exception of “More Than”) but effortlessly feels like its spanning multiple tempos. With the techno infused Encke Gap to the slow pulsings of Deep Night. Timelines represents the embodiment of the Autonomic “Drum & Bass” movement, a slice of time that sounds modern despite being more than a decade in existence. Timelines is a collectors piece that will sit happily in your physical or digital collection, an essential record that highlights the golden era of Instra:mental’s illustrious career.
