michal wolski - GENERATOR
After a great debut on Eerie Records with his "Unthinkable Otherwiseness Ep", Polish producer Michal Wolski is back on Marco Shuttle's imprint with a brand new 12". A very playable and yet rather abstract and super deep 3 tracker which again confirms Wolski's talent in forging his intricate sound that manages to be sophisticated and complex without becoming of difficult absorption for the listener. Caleidoscope, the A side track, which also gives the title to the whole EP, is a multy layered 4/4 intensely atmospheric groover where pulsating basslines rolls over dubbed out percussive synth elements and finely dosed synewaves. On the flipside 'Waterfall" unfolds over a 3 bars acidy bassline in a crescendo that climaxes with a "waterfall" (as the title suggests) of reverbed monotone leads playing always the same note, while "Generator" remain on a similar vibe but with more marked and sharp synthetic percussive elements that make it sound like a tribal mantra coming from outer space.

Michal Wolski - Energy Storm (Milena Glowacka Remix)
For the fourth iteration of the label catalog, Michal Wolski delivers two original tracks in his signature style and leads the label sound towards a more straightforward territory. For the A-Side, Leipzig-based producer, Vanta provided a deep remix. Milena Glowacka took care of the B-Side by creating a hard-hitting remix of Energy Storm.

Michal Wolski - Maze (Anthony Linell Remix)
After an intensive 2019, which saw Michal Wolski release a number of EPs, he’s starting 2020 with a return to Boddika’s Nonplus Records with ‘Chant’ - a 12 filled with deep, driving, detailed Techno. This new release, explores more nuanced and hypnotic territories of electronic music, placing off-beat and ambient structures alongside 4x4 Techno rhythms. ‘Chant’ is a sonic experimentation with modular synthesizers and a plethora of modern, digital-era tools. In addition to Wolski’s original work, is a remix from one of the most visionary modern Techno producers of our time, Anthony Linell, co-founder of the Northern Electronics record label. A1. Info:
Micha³ Wolski is a Polish musician, music journalist, radio DJ and tireless promoter of dub techno aesthetics. Eight extended compositions on his new record “La Mer” (Sea) recall those special moments when sound becomes a movement of a kinetic sculpture, an abstract painting, or a cinematic report from the Arctic solitude. Personal and introvert, yet simultaneously carrying certain universal message (cosmic loneliness? molecular life?), sound space created by Wolski manages to seduce listener and inhale her/him for whole 75 minutes. Associations with sculptural work with matter are not purely arbitrary. On his fourth full-length, artist consciously shapes complex and saturated form, further developing - on evidence on his earlier releases - penchant for exploring darker alleys of synthesis and sound design. In his varied and consistent narration, one can find a whole range of references to noblest protoplasts such as Pan Sonic, Rhythm & Sound, or even Vatican Shadow’s desert manipulation. However, the key to album’s consistency does not rely on the power of quote, it rather manifests itself in sheer scale and depth of imagined atmospheres and non-existent geographies. But Wolski’s constructs are much more than a set of sea sound fantasies. “La Mer” is a highly individualist vision of new worlds of listening AND hearing, truly deep acoustic ecology in time of overall hiss. Debut for the 22 year old, talented Georgian artist Nicole Popkhadze, Batumi born but Tbilisi based and already referred to as one of the leading Dj & Producers from the vibrant Georgian club Scene. Nicole holds a residency at the legendary club Cafe-Gallery and despite her very young age she has cultivated her very own personal approach to Djing and quickly gained a strong reputation for her energetic and emotive sets. Energy and emotions are also the driving force behind her first official release, which consists of 4 tracks (although they should be regarded more as songs other than tracks) that subtly and masterfully blend Detroit and IDM elements in a very modern way, but without deviating into the classic oldschool nostalgia and resulting in a sound that is extremely deep, personal, modern and mature.

Marco Shuttle - No Title
After 9 years from its first release, Marco Shuttle's hard to find eternal anthemic classic "The Vox Attitude" gets re-issued for the second time in a deluxe remix pack including both tracks of the original record (from 2011) and remixes by Atom TM, Pessimist and Marco Shuttle himself. Unlike the first remix pack that came out in 2013, and that was a single 12" with remixes by Pangaea and Joy Anderson, this second remix project will also feature the track, Spaziale, B side of the original first release. The Vox attitude which is the track that pretty much launched Marco Shuttle's international career is an anthemic metallic big room dubby techno tune, with strong sensual almost garagey vocal samples and diffuse percussions. Atom TM's rework of the track maintains quite intact many elements of the original at the beginnng, but gets progressively sprinkled with his trademark FM sounds and vocoder processed vocals very much reminiscent of his HD album on Raster Noton to end up with an epic synth line which unfolds towards the closing of the track. Marco Shuttle's "to the bone" remix is a very stripped down 4/4 grovy reinterpretation built around a what sounds like a very playful and wld Roland TR 909 live jam on top of which the single hit vocal samples of the original are layered in a way that they almost create a bassline that extends through the whole length of the track Spaziale stirs into a more dark heady territory with a haunting far reverberated bassline enriched by eerie trumpet sounding syhth parts in full effect Marco Shuttle style. Pessimist's remix is a downtempo broken track built around a heavy bass reworked version of the bassline of the original, resulting into a track in that full neo Trip Hop Bass Bristolian style the UK producer has so wonderfully executed on his releases on Blackest ever Black and his own label Pessimist Productions.

"I and Donato always send each others the tracks we make and exchange feedbacks on what we do, but when He sent me this music for the first time for me it's been love at first listen in a way i had never experienced before with his music. i wasn't even thinking i would be the one to release it back then...i just totally fell in love with these tracks when i heard them and was overly excited to the idea of playing them out, that's it. The funny thing is that till now i have been the only one on this planet to play them, Donato himself hasn't played out any and i was reporting to him on a regular basis and almost in real time the reactions of the people on the dancefloor when i would drop Cleo as last track on my sets and on how people would fall in a state of total ecstasy (not the drug, but the state of mind) while listening and dancing to it...i would tell him: "Donato...i don't think you quite realise what you have done...this stuff is just something else, it's beyond...the people are just melting when i play it!". So these tracks have grown in me in a very personal and deep way, and despite the fact that they are of course made 100% by Donato i almost developed a sense of emotional ownership towards this music, not in a way that i claimed the right to release them...(i have actually never asked him to give them to me) but in a way that i was feeling these tracks so much, that my love for them almost became an extension of the tracks themselves...and i think at some stage he felt this himself and one day this summer after that, again, for maybe the 20th time, i told him how amazing it was when i played them in my last set at the time he just told me "I think it is right that you release them, Marco. they are for you, they belong to you"...so as far as i'm concerned these will always be forever my very own Dozzy tracks, and it's a real honor and and a landmark for me and for my label to be able to release this record." The 12th chapter on Eerie Records is a 2 tracker by label owner Marco Shuttle himself. With the return to a more groovy and floor-friendly take than the abstract sound of his recently released LP the release maintains nonetheless the classic signiture deep landscapy approach the artist has made us used to with his production. Tribal rhythmics, 808 grooves, underlayed pads and some slightly middle eastern reminiscent sonic elements make it for a record that although still on the leffield side, is 100% techno. Anyone who loved Sing Like a bird will probably find this one very appealing. A very classic Marco Shuttle one indeed!

Marco Shuttle releasing his first solo album 'Visione' on his Eerie label. Having since released on Clone, The Bunker and Time To Express, this year has seen Shuttle hard at work at his first entry into the LP format. The resulting album marks a more experimental Marco Shuttle than the one familiar from his singles. 'Visione' is a cohesive and compact work, which draws on Shuttle's design background to unfold an audio narrative with a strong aesthetic approach. With a more abstract sound than his club-focused records, 'Visione' retains a cinematic scope while maintaining a common texture of sound throughout the tracks: the detailed productions were created with mainly analogue equipment with meticulously modulated oscillators, creating tracks that are by turns psychedelic, cosmic and sinister. Opening track The Chaos... And Then... features a guest appearance from Donato Dozzy, with whom Shuttle recently unveiled the collaborative project Anxur, with a separate EP from the duo preceding the album on Eerie. That track aside, this is very much a personal statement from Shuttle who drew inspiration from Krautrock, 70's psychedelic electronica, musique concrete, and norwegian avant garde jazz to mention a few. The release (2 x 12'- 180gms) comes in a lush package/cover design...very collectable indeed!

Marco Shuttle and fellow italian techno legend Donato Dozzy team up for a duo project under the name Anxur, a collaboration that combine two artits that certainly have a wide common ground when it comes to vision and musical aesthetics. The Anxur Takes Vol.1 is the first instalment of the duo's output, the release is a 2 tracker that have a strong esoteric feel as you could expect both from the label and from the artists involved but still maintaining quite a straight 4/4 dancefloor vibe. Volo 1 is a steady mesmerizing, squelchy acid track. A meticulously modulated high pitched 303 bassline that extends through the whole track keeping the listener suspended in a loopy sonic experience where the percussive elements slowly build up the progression together with the bassline. Volo 2 on the B side brings the tones into a slightly more subdued territory, still keeping some kind of thread with the A side but radically changing the atmosphere. a warped modulated synth-line dynamica lly changes its shape throughout the whole length of the track but the bassdrum is more round and soft and irregularly pulsating delayed 808 snares and 909 hats resonate through long tailed reverbs that give the track an even spacier, more landscapy feel. A very coherent and uncompromising ep by two minds that think alike.

First release on Eerie that is not by his founder/owner Marco Shuttle, is by Healing Force Project (Antonio Marini), another italian obscure electronic music producer who has already been delivering pure crystal quality on labels like Acido, Electronique and Sequencias. The release has been defined by Marco Shuttle himself as ''a very diverse and hypnotic 4 tracker of Electronica, spiritual jazz, psychedelic funk eclectically fused together for what is a very sophisticated and modern idea of techno''...do we need to say more?

Second installment on Marco Shuttle's EERIE is again a 2 tracker by himself. Sticking to the deep cinematic hypnotic signature sound that has trademarked all his work so far, the London based Italian producer delivers 2 long journeys of deep, dubby, Detroit flavoured EDM. Both tracks have a subtle progression, building up gently from an intro initial part to a more "dramatic" core through very subtly arranged and modulated layers of sounds and subliminal melodic elements. Hot!

After the well received Clone s.o.s. ''all around the fires'' ep and his big selling VIDD 001, Marco Shuttle starts an adventure with his very own Eerie records label. First trip is a great 3 track ep in Marco's signature sound. Deep, super deep acid & 808 driven grooves and dark dubby reverbed drums and dramatic strings. Phat tracks that sometimes remind of early Aphex Twin works on the selected ambient works and surfing on Sinewaves... but then the Marco Shuttle way. Dont sleep on this one! Recommended.
