Subradeon - We Are The Light
Subradeon is a Neapolitan new school techno producer who carries on in the fine tradition of the likes of Marco Carola and Joseph Capritati. His sound is more fulsome than theirs - soulful, with bouncy drums and vocals to embellish the grooves and really make sure they strike hard. 'The Last Trumpet' is a sleek and clean banger, an early Detroit styled anthem for the peak of the night that still has its foot in the underground. 'We Don't' is lit up with silvery synths and chattering percussion, again a la Motor City sound of Underground Resistance. The closing two tracks bring yet more high energy, stirring laced sounds that are epic and excellent in equal measure.

"I have been in love with the Detroit sound of techno since forever, so when I discovered Subradeon, I was immediately struck by the soul and energy of their music. I have been lucky enough to get to know Giuseppe and Salvatore over the last year and so it was always a dream for me to have them release a record together on Sous. Now this is happening, I couldn't be more excited. They have made three spectacularly good tracks that I know will last forever in my heart, and hopefully in yours too" opens Anja.
Sous has been drip feeding us top line releases all year long, despite the world coming to a standstill, Anja believes that continuing to release music is important to keep spirits high. She has been showcasing some of the newer talent from around the globe alongside some household names including Marcus Suckut, Fort Romeau and Mella Dee to the last release from Italian duo Reform.
October brings Subradeon. Hailed as the new school of the techno scene, they might have grown up in the Neapolitan underground scene, but their sound has become a melting pot of influences from their current home town of Berlin and the duo's self- confessed spiritual home of Detroit.
Giuseppe Salone and Salvatore Lannotta deliver their debut release 'Breaking Down Borders' on Sous, compromising of their characteristic raw soul, profound meaning and energetic purpose. This package includes a remix from Techno pioneer Stephen Brown (Djax Records, Transmat, Music Man).

Italian duo Subradeon team up with Radio Slave’s Rekids to deliver four illuminating cuts entitled ‘Walking Through Motown EP’. Beginning their musical journey in Southern Italy over a decade ago, the now Berlin-based duo Subradeon have been building steady momentum by releasing a handful of EPs on Detroit’s Motech Records, trau-ma and their own Subradeon Records label. Gradually honing their soulful productions with an emphasis on Detroit techno – the duo quickly caught the attention of Rekids label boss Radio Slave. They now join the reputable Berlin imprint with ‘Walking Through Motown EP’, closing the label’s 2018 to follow lauded releases from Sebo K, Markus Suckut, P.Leone, SRVD, Nocow, and many more accomplished names. ‘Walking Through Motown (Part 1)’ is an uplifting track with mesmerising leads and swirling synths combining to create ethereal atmospheres before ‘Walking Through Motown (Part 2) offers beautifully resonating kicks, undulating chord progression and melodious synth flutters. On the flip, ‘The Law Is Spiritual’ maintains the symphonious spectacle balancing inspiriting vocals, rattling percussion and a weighty bassline whilst ‘We Will Still Resist’ employs fluid drums, looping piano keys and euphoric elements to finish.

roots panorama ( deetron & ripperton ) - B Roots Panorama (aka Deetron & Ripperton) - Mars (Ripperton Roots Version)
Deetron founded the label, Character, based on his passion for creating and discovering music. The label will serve as an independent outlet for music without boundaries, welcoming releases from both a plethora of artists, as well as the man himself. It will be a platform for recordings beyond the confines of one particular genre, created to produce music, in its purest form. The inaugural record, which is designed for the dance floor, finds Deetron teaming up with Ripperton under their rarely seen Roots Panorama moniker. The concept behind the pairing is to get together in the studio, have a jamming session, then individually craft a track each coming away with 2 interpretations of their session. "Mars" sees Deetron's version focus on the melodic and bright aspect of the original recording, whilst Ripperton takes things deeper into darker territory leading towards a finale with the sort of arresting arpeggio that only he can come up with.
