Floog - Sepe Patru
Renowned live artist and Premiesku member Floog delivers four shimmering microhouse cuts on Archie Hamilton’s Moscow Records this September. Hailing from the vibrantly active house and techno scene of Romania, Floog has established himself as one of the country’s most distinguished artists with releases on labels like Mulen Records, Atipic, Joule and MEOKO. One third of the Premiesku group alongside Livio & Roby, he has specialised in capturing the infectious rhythm of drum machines and analogue synths with regular support from Apollonia, Petre Inspirescu, Raresh, Priku, Sonja Moonear, and many more. ‘The Gathering’ kick starts the release with layered claps, a low-end analogue hook and tantalising high stabs, before ‘Balance Right’ continues his signature minimal aesthetic with sparkling bleeps, sweeping vocals and a catchy synth loop. On the flip ‘Amiba Ta’ gives an eerie feel whilst tight drums lock in the groove, until finally ‘Sepe Patru’ closes the package with decayed voices, bouncing side-chained bass and saturated snare layers.

Release Note:
Kooky Music, the Polish label based in the city of Wroclaw, proudly presents its second release, this time by Floog, the already established DJ, producer and 1/3 of a successful live-act project Premiesku.
What is characteristic for the Romanian artist is an eclectic style and an ability to juggle with different kinds of genres, always as if without any effort. This approach will also mark all 4 tracks that Floog serves on this EP. Techy rhythm patterns and trippy atmosphere meet here the beloved melodic aspects of romiminal, with an air of micro-house and its love for details.
Floog's music is no doubt an intelligent music made and tailored especially for dance floors. These tracks will function well in clubs and various beach places attracting open minded dancers and characterized by good sound systems, top quality tunes and a positive vibe. More

floog - Premiza
A new year, a new VisionQuest excursion: rising Romanian Floog is our navigator for this mission and he’s coordinated a precision interstellar trip to ease us into a new season. The timing couldn’t be better. Momentum made via his debuts on the likes of Crossed Grooves and Atipic, ‘Suprapus’ is Floog’s boldest, furthest reaching EP to date as he continues to map his own name around the cosmos. ‘Suprapus’ takes the lead. Romanian for superimpose, it lives up to its title as layers weave with natural ebb and flow. The sense of timelessness is another strong superimposed weave as we’re immersed in a haze of foundation elements and a strong rolling funk while driven by future focused beatcraft and production. This theme is continued on ‘Staring At The Sun’. Another wistful piece that stares up with hope but runs with such groove hypnosis you lose any temporal senses, it’s both heads-down and shades-down as Floog rolls out into the centre of solar system. Finally ‘Premiza’ brings us back home. Darker, gruffer, trippier and relentlessly driving. There’s some serious noir magic at play on the tweaked drums, creepy arpeggios and overall sense of tension. Transition in 2019 complete, but don’t get too comfortable... Another VisionQuest excursion is awaiting imminently.

Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo - Anak
Frequent collaborators Shaun Reeves and Tuccillo team up on Archie Hamilton’s Moscow Recordings, bringing three intricate cuts plus a remix from Premiesku member Floog. Both artists have been releasing music for over a decade with Tuccillo making appearances on Inermu, Holic Trax, Djebali and 8bit, whilst Reeves initially burst onto the scene via Raum…music and Wolf + Lamb before co-founding Visionquest where he still continues to release the bulk of his work. That label is also where the pair initially joined forces and, aside from an outing on One Records and Shantu, where the two have consistently collaborated. Following the release of Archie Hamilton’s debut album, Reeves and Tuccillo now join Moscow Recordings alongside artists like Argy, Noha, Mennie and Floog. Meandering onwards, ‘Fill Callings’ is a deep and dubby cut with pulsating bass, skipping hats and metallic whirrs. Next, ‘Chaboi’ ups the tempo, implementing a compelling groove whilst deep chords are joined by various tiny elements that pan throughout the mix, leading into ‘Anak’ – a stripped back number with a mean bassline, crystalline stabs and murmuring vocals. On remix duties, Romanian producer Floog adds extra thud to ‘Fill Callings’ courtesy of pronounced kicks and a reverbing snare that drives the track forward whilst a combination of distorted effects squelch and rattle.

Archie Hamilton feat. Onallee - Eye Of The Storm (Bushwacka! Remix)
Radio Slave and Bushwacka! remix ‘Eye Of The Storm’ featuring vocalist and drum ’n bass royalty Onallee, with label boss Archie Hamilton serving up a fresh VIP mix. Taken from Hamilton’s debut album ‘Archive Fiction’, which dropped earlier this year on Moscow Records, ‘Eye Of The Storm’ featuring Reprazent artist Onallee, gets the remix treatment from two renowned producers with a reimagined garage inspired mix from the boss himself. Two acclaimed British artists, Rekids boss and esteemed remixer Radio Slave leads the release with Hamilton’s VIP mix alongside Olmeto and Plank Records owner and artist Bushwacka! Radio Slave’s remix of ‘Eye Of The Storm feat. Onallee’ opens with a thundering kick, haunting effects, rolling vox-cuts and rattling hats with an ecstasy inducing breakdown. Archie Hamilton’s VIP mix then goes down a classic bubbling bassline route, featuring crunchy cymbals and phasing synths when Bushwacka! then goes on to close the release with break styled drum programming, rumbling toms, zapping flute like samples and jungle shakers on his remix.

Charlie Banks - Flight Mode (Archie Hamilton Remix)
Following his debut on Archie Hamilton’s Moss Co., UK producer Charlie Banks now joins MoscowRecords bringing a pair of intricate house cuts with the label boss on remix duties. Hamilton has been playing the Gottwood Festival DJ’s music in his sets for years now and following his ‘One Morning In Staines EP’ on Moss Co. Charlie Banks has seen further support from artists like Seb Zito, Diego Krause, and Traumer. Appearing on Moscow Records, the breakthrough London-based producer returns for his second statement release of 2019. Opening his next release, ‘Flight Mode’ instantly deploys a sultry bassline as trickling subtleties operate alongside crunchy snares, making way for a stuttering warped melody and crystal synths – the result is both deep and energetic. On the flip, thudding kicks and echoing effects lay the foundations for ‘Project X’ as a meandering sequence joins a thunderous low-end. Tying it all together, Archie Hamilton’s remix of ‘Flight Mode’ boasts a complex rhythm from the off as various different percussive elements interlink to create a mesmerising dancefloor roller complete with acid licks.
