Tracks:
A1 Satisfaction & Clarity

B1 Open Heart
B2 In Search Of Darryl P
Slam City Jams is back with its sixth release and welcomes a new face to the label: the
mysterious producer, Westcoast Goddess, with his „Soul Out Of Time” EP.
After releases on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs (under his Videopath moniker) and Canada
based Heart To Heart Records, this guy caught our attention with his amazing analog take
on house music.
Written and produced between 2002 and 2018, this record contains everything house music
heads could wish for:
Sweet chords and strings, topped with heavy 909s, plus a cheeky little vocal shot on
„Satisfaction & Clarity”. Title track „Soul Out Of Time” sounds like a late night drive with the
top down. Meaning - shiny bells, swinging 80s drums, a funked up bass line and Balearic
breaks. The B-side kicks things off with “Open Heart”. A sample-based house tune, heavy on
the low end and super sweet on the tops, with Rhode pianos and catchy guitar licks. The EP
comes to an end with „In Search Of Darryl P”: A perfect track for the late hours, when those
trancey synths and euphoric strings go on and on... till the first rays of dawn! More

Westcoast Goddess - I Might Be Ok (The Faithful Soul)
Westcoast Goddess first came to our attention at the end of 2018 following his debut release on Canadian label Heart To Heart, but his productions actually date right back to ’93 (under various different guises) when he first began making music with his trusty Roland DR550 and Kawai K1. With a fresh and distinctive sound, WG successfully fused soulful touches and late 80’s-era digital synths with raw, punchy grooves and a euphoric, ravey atmosphere. Since then, the Berlin-based producer has built a solid following amongst underground house heads with subsequent releases dropping on esteemed labels such as Omena, Slam City Jams and Let’s Play House. Opening up the EP we have Step Inline (The Narcotic Soul), which is a piano driven, uplifting slice of house heaven. A simple repeating 2 bar chord pattern lays down the foundation for soaring strings, cascading chimes and seductive echoing vocal hook. Next up we have The Devil In Mr Holmes (The Erotic Soul) which once again goes heavy on the piano stabs but this time developing the arrangement into something that feels more like an instrumental dub of a long lost Prelude release. Crystalline synth lines come and go, whilst electronic tom hits add pace and energy to the unrelenting house groove. Flipping over we have the epic I Might Be Ok (The Faithful Soul) coming in at over 9 minutes and being all the better for it. A dirty Moog bassline leads the charge with beautiful synth lines layering up on top, creating a blissed-out vibe which can’t fail to lift your spirits. TRACK LISTING: A1. Step Inline (The Narcotic Soul), A2. The Devil In Mr Holmes (The Erotic Soul), B. I Might Be Ok (The Faithful Soul)

What was it Dorothy said? A few months back, we released Westcoast Goddess' LPH debut, The Inner Snoopy, a classic house EP reincarnated as one of those giant rainbow-colored lollipops. And that really wasn't enough, so now we have a second four-tracker from the guy, a continuation of the technicolor adventure through nightclubs in the Kingdom of Caring. Pop it on and feel the sugar rush, feel your pupils dilate, feel your heart race and swell with joy. TRACK LISTING: A1. Strawberry Infiniti, A2. Fruity Loop, B1. Like a Benediction, B2. Westcoast Goddess - Murder at Passion Cove
Imagine a Kerri Chandler track anthropomorphized, then jammed into a Japanese purikura photo booth for a series of bedazzled, glittered, and airbrushed headshots. Imagine that image set to music. What do you hear? Westcoast Goddess' The Inner Snoopy, a frenetic house workout that is puzzlingly contemporary, classic, and alien. The four-track EP kicks off with the title track, a cloud of cotton candy, supersaturated hot pink, threaded with twinkly bells and a bass shuffle that flips and flops around with cheerful abandon. “Limelight Golden Age” and “Murder at Passion Cove,” the two tunes that follow, assume a quietly sinister tone, introducing minor-key piano pounds and pinched synth riffs that stretch to the heavens to complicate the overwhelming joyousness of the instrumental palette and arrangement. A subtly ironic 12-inch that satirizes and lampoons the bubblegum, technicolor sounds from our hyperactive age while hearteningly finding beauty within it all. Bah—words, words, word! It's wildly fun party music imbued with idiosyncratic humor and life-affirming happiness. Play it loud, play if often.A1. The Inner Snoopy, A2. Limelight Golden Age, B1. Beach Noir (feat. A1 Manuel Darquart – Down 2 Dance
A2 Manuel Darquart – Cultivating Yucca
B1 Manuel Darquart – Prince Of The Rinse
B2 Manuel Darquart – Down 2 Dance (Tech Support Remix)
PRESS RELEASE:
For their 9th release Slam City Jams welcomes the fabulous Manuel Darquart to the family!
After brilliant releases on imprints like Wolf Music or Coastal Haze and recently getting remixed
by the Italo-House legend Don Carlos, we are happy to have the duo on the label with their
„Down 2 Dance“ EP. Originally from New Zealand but now living in London, Manuel Darquart
bless us with a record full of balearic bliss, backed with a dope remix by Tech Support.
We are kicking things off with the title track, a deep, yet uplifting Italo-House tune: „Down 2
Dance“ is full of sweet chords, perfectly cheesy sax stabs and this catchy vocal cuts we just
can’t get out of our head. On „Cultivating Yucca“ Manuel Darquart maintains the Italian vibe but
gets even more balearic with warm pads, some muted trumpets and of course: The slight
sound of the ocean.
On the flip things get interesting with „Prince Of The Rinse“: Distorted 808s paired with a funky
lead that builds up steadily and finally dissolves into a wonderful synth solo. A tune that
reminds of the early Funkineven on Apron Records. To round this record off, we invited
Londons finest Tech Support to give the title track his remix treatment: He added his signature
80s sound to the original and perfecftly stripped back the tune to its essentials, with gated
snare drums and little synth blips. What more can you ask for?! More

PRESS RELEASE:
We are happy to welcome UK-based producer Native Cruise on Slam City Jams. The
guy was on our radar since his releases on No Bad Days and Fruit Merchant that easily
combined house music with new-age synths, a wave/EBM touch and balearic sounds.
His „Human Nature“ EP is no exception with five outstanding tracks that differ in tempo
and vibe.
The opener „Crew Talk“ is a percussion heavy tune with lots of cowbells, a funky DX7
bass line, deep pads and dramatic chords that build up and up towards the end.
„Elsewhere" is the most housey track on this record, with four-to-the-floor 808s and
bittersweet strings that burst out into euphoria. Closing down the A-side is „Fooled
Again“, a balearic cut that feels like a day in the sun with it's little synth blips and arps.
On the flip we find the title track „Human Nature“ that might be the hidden jam on this
EP. Hard hitting Linn Drums, digital synth bells and those haunting vocals we can’t get
out of our heads. Finally we have „Not Long Now“ a perfectly atmospheric deep tune,
that sits somewhere between ambient and reggaeton and will make fans of DJ Python
more than happy. More

INFO (SHORT)
Label head honchos Rhode & Brown finally debut on their own imprint, Slam City Jams, after
putting out music on fellow labels Toy Tonics and Public Possession. Produced over the past two
years, the Wave 100 EP might be the most versatile record by the Munich-based fellas so far.
On the title track we have an euphoric hint of 80s synth nostalgia, slapped bass and banging
woodsticks (did someone say Safri Duo?!). “Sparkle” on A2 feels like the joy of a fresh breeze on
hot summer days whilst living la vida loca in the clouds - b/w phat bass, sweet flutes & strings.
On the flip there is “Love Lane”, a classic house track with a funked up bassline, shuffling snares
and the most erotic vocal in human history. “Moon Bells” on B2 is the soundtrack to that road
trip you did back in 86’ with a Juno 106 arpeggiator bassline, percussive drums and airy synths
all around. “Over Europe” on B3 rounds off this special 5-tracker with beautiful ambient spheres
straight from outta space. More

A1 COEO – Never Going Home
A2 Doppelate – Four Feet Up The Stairs
B1 Rhode & Brown, Leo Woelfel – More Drama (Less Hysteria)
B2 Marco Lazovic – In The Jungle
Slam City Jams are back with their first compilation. A 4-tracker packed up with
five amazing artists from all over the globe. And let’s face it: It’s a breaky affair!
Starting off with our Munich homeboys from COEO. Known for their funked up
house tunes on Toy Tonics, they start into complete new realms this time. ‚Never
Going Home‘ is the perfect example of a dope broken beat electro tune, that with
it’s weird synth line & smooth breakdown never failed on a gig in the last months.
On A2 the man Doppelate from London (Let’s Go Swimming Rec.) exactly hits the
spot with mezmerizing synths, tight drum programming and a crunchy acid
bassline on ‚Four Feet Up The Stairs‘.
The flip side starts off with label head honchos Rhode & Brown, who teamed up
with their buddy Leo Woelfel from Austria, both known for releases on Toy
Tonics, Public Possession or Let’s Play House. Here the name ‚More Drama (Less
Hysteria)’ says it all: Pure drama on this breaky acid tune!
To round up this great package we’ve got Marco Lazovic from Moscow on B2. He
digs deep ‚In The Jungle’ with rolling 707 drums, dreamy synths and this tropical
atmosphere we can’t get enough of. More

Tracklist:
A1 All I Feel 1 Million , A2 444 , A3 Ok Bye
B1 Nations Cup (Extended Mix) , B2 444
Press Info:
Slam City Jams is back with it’s second release, produced by young Brussel based artist Kassett. This multi-talented dude not only makes great music, but also does visual arts (look at that amazing fanzine coming with the record) and has his own label & artist collective called Midlife. Kassett aka Gavin Vanælst isn’t about genres, but about emotions when it comes to
his music. However, asking him what he would call the sound he makes, his simple answer is: „Rave Ambient“.
The 'All I Feel 1 Million EP‘ is a record full of diversity. It reaches from emotional and dreamy, arp-based ambient tracks with rave and trance references, to broken beats, weird synth solos, up to a rough but melodious techno tune. Finally the cherry on top of this special EP, is a remix by Lobster Theremin regular Imre Kiss. He delivered a dark and dubby version of the A2, that sounds like it was recorded underwater. More

More

Vinyl Only. Newborn Munich based label Slam City Jams comes around the corner with its first release from young gun Gonima straight outta Montreal, Canada.
His Grids EP? An exciting mixture of swinging distorted drums, catchy melodies and hazy atmospheres. You can definitely spot Gonima's passion for DX7 adventures, analog drums and tape hiss right here. Opener "Grids" starts off with lush synth blips, 707 drums and a bassline Bootsy Collins would give high-fives for. "Subdivided" is one of these tracks that shows you that it doesn’t need more than a few elements to get you going: A rough kick drum, cowbells and a smooth pad that gets slapped by just one bass note. The last original on B2 is the ambient-like "Organ Tutorials", which shifts your mind directly to outer space. And as if all this wasn't enough, someone really special did a great remix job – Khotin from 1080p fame, who gave the A2 cut a treat with his unique trademark sound. Four house and ambient tracks both for the floor and the couch. Or as Gonima puts it: "An EP that has the sound of visiting home in the winter and rediscovering environments frequented in the past, birthing previously obscured memories. The sounds within are a ritual dance to stay warm through the procession of the seasons"
